E pasado a comer y me encontre un señor afuera podiendo para un taco .y lo invete a pasar conmigo para que comieramos juntos pero al centarme ala mesa el señor estaba timido como con miedo le insiste que se sentara a comer y el digo que se los ordenara para llevar por que alas personas como el no los quieres adentro y por fin ise que se sentara pero la mesera solo me dio un menu y seme iso muy grosero de su parte asi que amablemente le pedi otor menu ala mesera para mi nuevo amigo ordeno sus tacos pero note que no sabia leer y que no recordaba el nombre de las carnes me dio la impresión que no estaba en uso de todas sus facultades mentales le pregunte que donde vivía y que si tenia trabajo. El me contesto que vive en una casa abandonada y que por la mañana salio a limpiar nive de los negocios sercanos pero que no avia caido la suficiente por ya avia muchos limpiando la verdad me senti tan mal que mis tacos no me supieron muy bien . Si lo ven por aqui ayudenlo solo queria comer algo

hoy fue mi abuelita alos comales de 18 st pero no le gusto ir hoy porque una mesera le grito alo otra mesera nosotras somos ya clientess deahi ya que vivimos por ahi la mesera llama rosa le grito alo otra llamada jacqueline o yoselin no lo recuerdo bien le grito desde la caja asta las mesa 19 solo para que le yebara chips o algo asi a una mesa pero rosa no esta siendo nada mas que platicando con otra persona pork no dejar de platicar para aser su trabajo. que lastima que tenga trabajadoras asi lo digo por rosa no por las demas asi no me gustaria regresar.

This place was great. The service was blisteringly fast and the food was cheap, but it didnt taste that way. You could definitely get a great meal here for just a few bucks. I ended up getting a huarache. It was crisp and not greasy, and topped with a nice combo of steak, veggies salsa. The chips and salsa that we had initially was very spicy, but even though it was a little too spicy for me it had a very good flavor and I couldnt stop eating it. The horchata did a very good job of subduing the spiciness and I didnt feel as though it was watered down at all, which can be the case at some Mexican restaurants.

Went there with a few friends (7 to be exact), and we asked if they could do split checks. They automatically said no. A few people needed an ATM as well and, the waitress just said that it was at the bank a block away. When she asked us if we wanted to order, we asked her if there was any way they could split checks. She said that we would all need to sit at different tables to make that happen. We decided not to order and leave, she left in a huff. Sucky customer service. Dont go unless youre willing to pay for the whole check.

Clean fast service, the waitresses were very nice. The salsa they had in squirt bottles were good but the one they handed to us in a bowl with the chips was runny like very watered down. Who wants to eat chips with salsa that drips of your chip. The tacos i had were not that good the tripas were basically just boiled kind of gross and the al pastor tacos were a little better but not very tasty. Next time maybe Ill stick with the steak tacos. Oh and the pickled peppers/ carrots were very good those I did enjoy.

We had plans for another restaurant for the 4th of July but they turned out to be closed. We were worried a smaller place wouldnt be able to accommodate nine people but they were great. They had this huge taco platter with like 20 tacos for a really decent price and it came with tons of delicious horchata. Large tubs of rice and beans were also delicious. Great customer service, very patient and helpful, especially with portion recommendations.

I have been coming to this place for years and its always been great This is not a fancy restaurant but for what it is it definitely is above and beyond Nice ample dining room with booths and long tables for large parties Service for me has always been courteous fast and effective Prices are great and food good Comales is a chain with about 10 different locations in the Chicago area and this is my favorite one Gracias!

This place is so hit or miss. Sometimes the food is perfect. Other times its bland. Today, the girl on the phone could not fathom why one would want a plain cheese quesadilla. We also ordered three "chicken" tacos. The chicken resembled something closer to beans. I like dark meat and I know what it is... I have no idea what they put in them. We ended up throwing them out. I couldnt eat it... true mystery meat.

Bad customer service! The servers kept messing up my order. Our waiter kept paying more attention to the white people than our table. Kept ingoring us. Food is low quality... Microwave food. Prices went up.. more expensive and kept their food cheap quality. Made us pay extra for messing up out order. I gave up on this place. Hipsters took over this place. Definitely would not recommend!

They mess up my order and brought me a different dish. I had to wait an additional 15 minutes for the right one just to find out it wasnt hot (they used frozen meat and just fried the flautas) On top of that, the waitress never stop by even once to ask if everything was okay. I had to go directly to the cashier to pay because they didnt bring me the check.

Breakfast, lunch or Dinner this place has it all. Agua frescas are delicious. My favorite breakfast is desayuno Comales. Which is served with rice, beans, lean cecina, and an egg of your choice. Then topped with a mild tomate salsa! Tacos are small but delicious! Platillos are good portions and of course, the tortas are very popular too!

Came here with some family and friends and it was just what we were looking for! We were so happy they were open late, as we werent able to eat dinner until 11pm. We got the party platter and struggled to finish it. Every bite was so delicious though! I will definitely return next time Im in Chicago! The horchata was THE BEST EVER!!!!

I was in a hurry, i was actually working and came in for lunch a few weeks ago. They made my food pretty fast, i didnt think anything of it. I got back to car and drove off, i bit into my steak tacos and the meat was hard, i didnt get the sour cream on them that i asked for and they didnt taste fresh at all. Very disappointed.

it saddens me that there is only two locations that i know about this place. i usually have to travel for about 40 minutes to go to the one on the south side on kedzy and 26th. the place is a very authentic mexican place. and its allways worth the travel the tacos sopes and tortas are delicious. and its very inexpensive.
