I stopped in to buy a pastry to go and purchased a very cheap blueberry danish.when I got to the office 10 minutes later, i bit into what was the driest piece of bread Ive had since my first attempt at baking whole wheat bread. I dont like throwing food away nor returning food, but this went in the trash bin immediately and had I not work to get done, Id march back and complain. Aside that, the service was friendly and the atmosphere very pleasant. Ill give them another chance. update: 9/10 Didnt have time to brew my own coffee this morning, so I stopped in and asked for a simple drip in my thermos. i got a coffee that was brewed with grounds way too fine for drip. its overly roasted and bitter. it did have a heavy chocolate flavor at the end. staff was still very pleasant, but ill stick to getting the naked juices from now on.

Its one of the best coffee shops in Chicago. Excellent intelligentsia coffee. Not to strong like in Broadway and Logan roaster locations. The interior is new, well decorated with clear concept. Bottomless coffee for under $3, served in nice, new mugs. Great service. Much better than New Wave or Ipsento. One small thing - they dont do sandwiches. Only pastry.

I wanted to like this place I really did but both of my experiences have been poor at best I had there espresso and the flavor that stood out was burnt beans it wasnt tasty at all their pastries were also dry and felt like they were a day old. I feel bad for this review but I have to honest.

This is my favorite coffee shop! Theres a very comfortable couch by a fire place and big, naturally lit windows. The staff is really friendly and actually talented baristas;A latte is an authentic latte, not an overly sweetened frothy mess. They play excellent music. I love to read here.

Great place to grab a snack or coffee in Portage Park. They had glazed and infused donuts on a weekend when I came here, dont know if they still do that. Its also a really good place to come and get work done. The prices are great I just wished they stayed opened a little later.

Local spot that serves as a fantastic work space (they even have a printer and a meeting room!) that churns out consistent quality coffee. Well kempt, well-lit environment that is conducive to studying/working from home. Has a little patio with outdoor seating.

Amazing neighborhood gem! Great coffee, do-rite donuts in the weekends and a super friendly staff. Not to mention the music classes for kiddos, a perfect place to grab breakfast or just a quick cup of joe! Highly recommend the fig vanilla black pepper latte

Though the name suggests coffee is their specialty, their teas are just as amazing! Great place for getting work done or just to hang out. Also, there is a conference room is available for reserve. Had their coconut oolong tea. Loved it!

My favorite spot for great coffee in the area. Great quality, friendly Batistas, awesome atmosphere to relax, meet friends, or study. They also have a large conference room you can reserve ahead of time for no cost! Highly recommended

My husband and I walk with our dog from our house to here almost every weekend when the weather is nice. The staff are courteous and friendly, and the coffee is wonderfully delicious. Great neighborhood coffee joint!
