Food was just OK, definitely overpriced. For example, the guac was a small serving for $10 (and slightly on the bland side), the shrimp tacos were very very small (shrimp was rubbery and tortilla was dry/stale). Also the tortilla soup came with an inedible black Chile on top. The Chile didnt add any flavor so I was confused as to why it was served with the soup unless it was to justify the high price? Service was quick but awkward. For example, the owner (chef?) came over to our table 6 times. Another strange thing is that this chef never once stepped foot into the kitchen but rather spent all the time in the front of the house. While I dont expect the executive chef to run the line or even expedite, I do expect they would want to spend some time in the kitchen. The waiters were clearly being micromanaged and were not allowed/trained to explain the specials. Instead the owner came over and showed the specials on an iPad in a friendly (but sales-y and way over-the-top) way. Waiting staff were friendly but seemed very skiddish. Another awkward example was when the waiter took our plates away and asked us to hold the silverware but didnt provide a clean surface for us to put it down on (we just ended up holding the silverware till the next dish came out about 5 minutes later). Atmosphere is nice, outdoor seating is very nice, but the restaurant was pretty dead inside. I want to like the place but unfortunately, I wont be back.

Blink twice, and youll miss this well-reviewed, upscale Mexican restaurant, which lies all but hidden in a compound including another restaurant and an astrological advisor. And that would be a shame, because the food here is fresh and delicious (and, yes, a bit pricey). I had the mole sampler and can testify, having just returned from Mexico, that the flavors here manage to be both inventive and authentic. Save some room for the right-sized desserts, too. Well worth looking for -- and if youre staying at the nearby Peninsula or walking the Miracle Mile, this little detour will make your day. Recommended.

Chef Pacos Chicago location is just as delightful as his Oak Park staple. The atmosphere is delightful and romantic, especially in the warmer weather with his outdoor café. Their margaritas and Palomas are great, especially the Jalapeno margarita. I concur with others that not only is his 6 mole option a great choice, but all of the daily specials which often include a selection of different guacamoles. I could not give this restaurant a higher recommendation - innovative authentic and unusual cuisine and attentive, thoughtful service abound. Bon appetite!

Place looks nice well remodel food is good but wouldnt recommend it to any one food is way over charge for three tacos with fruits on top of it would go up to $20 and would take so long for them to bring it wouldnt image it because there was only one table beside me and my date. And the cheff would talk about the food as if it was his child. Valet was $20 which is ridiculous i should of just park in the meter but everything was full. I would not recommend it food will not fill u up for the price u are going to pay

We didnt really understand the great reviews for this place. Maybe because we all had the tacos instead of the mole, but it just didnt seem worth the price. The margaritas were ok, but nothing special. The fish tacos were batter fried tilapia with tartar sauce. Granted, the sauce was delicious, but $18 for 3 fish tacos? Maybe our palates arent refined enough, but while the food was good, the price warrants a lower rating. We will not be back.

We had a great evening here at New Rebozo. The food was fantastic (we both had tacos, the chetumal and the carne asada tacos paco) and the drinks were also well-made. We sat outside, so I cant speak to the ambiance of the interior of the restaurant, but we enjoyed the nice weather on their patio. Our servers were all attentive and friendly and we had a very pleasant time all around. I would certainly head back here next time Im in Chicago.

Oh my lordy, the moles are out of this world, delicious. We ordered Chiles Nogada, Mole Fiesta, and Tacos de Nopales (spelling?). Everything was so fine....thinks Like Water for Chocolate fine. Not cheap, true. But much more delicious than cheap. I will be going back again and again. My only suggestion is that they give you a spoon, to lick up the mole which is hard to do with a fork....and impolite to lick the plate. Cheers!

Soon becoming one of my favorite Mexican haunts in the city! New Rebozo is known for its moles and thats exactly what you should get - fiesta mole! Ive been here 3 times in a month and have tried at least 2 different mole sauces each time. Very delicate and delicious. Even the chips and salsa served here is delectable! You can pick your favorite Margarita flavor - mine is tamarind or lemon.

This place was great - servers were super friendly, atmosphere was nice and food was good. The only thing holding me back from a 5 star was the mole enchilada dish. I wasnt a fan of all of the moles. It was an impressive story (they make 18 different moles and have a rotation of them), and served 6 different moles at a time. The tamales and 3 different flans were amazing.

This place is amazing and the owner, Chef Paco, is the best! He is always coming up with inventive and delicious drink, app and meal specials. If he is offering the guacamole with fresh fruit, you have to try it. It is one of the best things I have ever eaten. Chef Paco treats you like family from your very first visit and we always have a great time.

Phenomenal. Family run, cutting edge, inventive, by far the best mole I have ever had. My wife loves the Fiesta Mole (six enchiladas, six different moles) but I am a huge fan of the mole w/ chicken ("Mole del Rebozo"). Either entree will fill you up w/ just enough room for dessert (flan trio). Chef Paco is awesome.

Beyond amazing. Mole will change your world. Chef Paco is one of those amazing people who not only enjoys his craft but is a master of it as well. He actually drove my sister and cousin back to their train after I recommended they go to the Oak Park location and they mentioned knowing me. Just. Amazing

The food was hot and the environment was nice but it was expensive. My wife got the Paco tacos (3) and I got the fish tacos (3). Both of us drank water and we had a bill of 47.00 before taxes. Our service was slow. It took over 10 mins for me to get the check after having to ask for it 2 times.

Some of the best carne Asada I have ever had. Carne asada fries are smothered in meat and all the toppings. Fries are crispy too! Also had the potato tacos and those are delicious as well. If you eat in you get chips and salsa free! Always come here about once a month.

Probably one of the best overall dining experiences Ive ever had. Atmosphere was fantastic, service was great, and the food was absolutely delicious. Cant say enough good things about this restaurant, will definitely be back next time Im in Chicago.
