Weve been here before, numerous times for celebrations, lunch dates, everything. Usually decent service with delicious food. However today, valentines day, we were on time for our reservation, but waited ten minutes for a table. It then took our server twenty minutes just to get our drink order and fifteen minutes after that to actually receive my drink. After placing our sushi order, twenty minutes later I watch our plates go to another table. Our server then grabbed their plate, wiped off what they had started to eat, and placed it on our table! Pieces were missing from rolls, and clearly the plate hadnt even been changed! Absolutely unacceptable and far beyond any health code regulation. Leads me to believe that this isnt the first and only time theyve ever done this. Ruined our night out and disgusted me out of eating anything. I still had to pay for my drinks and was only given a ten dollar gift certificate. Still not passable as an apology for something so gross.

We are deeply sorry if you came in Feb 14th and experienced the "cold" Valentines Day. There was a break in our heating unit and we tried throughout the night to correct it and we fell short of that. Its an awful feeling to us that this had to happen on one of our busiest nights of the year. We want to apologize for that, and we would give A FREE ANY MEAL/per receipt (or if you had a reservation that day) if you can give us one more chance to present you the best KOBE, please! This special offer will be only valid in February of 2015.

Been going there for a few months now and the sushi is by far the best that ive had in a long time. The sushi buffet is incredible. However, sometimes it gets a little too busy in there and you have to wait a little while for the rolls to come back out but I never mind the waiting. The sushi is that good. Def try this place out if your a sushi lover.

What kind of asian restaurant plays country music? Went there for an experience and didnt really leave with one. Food was decent. Very skimpy with steak and overloaded with veggies and noodles... I dont think it was worth $50 for my boyfriend and I, but the one good thing is that the staff are very friendly and made the experience worthwhile.

Terrible service (waiters only) and the steak quality has gone down drastically in the last 3 years. I use to compare. The filet Mingeon here to Jims steak house now it taste horrible. Their chicken is decent so thats all I get if I go anymore. Very disappointing as I use to go once a week and now its barely twice a year.

Like the place but never any managers on site. Hiring kids to work is a horrible idea unless someone is there monitoring and keeping them gainfully employed. I had reservations at 6pm didnt seat till 650. While the kids allowed people to come in a seat before everyone else since they missed their time by over an hour.

Always a great time when we treat ourselves with Hibachi at Kobe. Christmas eve is always spent with family and friends and we decided to skip cooking and enjoy not just some great food but some great fun too! Always great dishes and SO MUCH FOOD! Thank you Kobe my family loves you for the Hibachi aaand the sushi!

The atmosphere is great but the food is lacking. The shrimp was WAY overcooked, the rice had tons of crunchy pieces of something in it that hurt my teeth, the noodles lacked flavor, and the sushi was pretty awful. I wont ever go back to this place again.

The god awful nastiest experience ever wouldnt recommend feeding it to a dog. The food was cold dont go there for the buffet there is no comparison to the grill the buffet was more like a roach infested china wok. Wouldnt eat there again if it was free!!!

Its a good place to go with a group of people. The chefs are fun. Sushi is good enough. Food is pretty standard but the steak is good. There are other places with better food but if you want some entertainment with your meal give it a try.

Of all the sushi places near normal, Kobe is one of the most affordable. Occasionally the service is a bit slow, bit overall the service is friendly, the sushi delicious, and the atmosphere enjoyable.

Best Hibachi food in Central Illinois! Huge portions, very good, and even the sushi is amazing. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in the hunt for Hibachi or sushi.
