I never write reviews but after todays experience at Mauris I had to warn people away from this place. I wish I would have read the prior reviews before I went because they are correct... the service is some of the worst Ive experienced. It wasnt busy but all of the wait staff was moving in slow motion and we finally got drink refills as we were about to leave. Not a single person there smiled. Food arrived quickly but some of my food was ice cold (not even room temperature). By the time someone came back to the table my 3 children had already finished eating. I was told that food gets cold quickly and that they would "re-heat it" for me. I politely declined since I didnt really want to eat re-heated food and I didnt want to put my kids through waiting for another meal to be served. After waiting almost 15 minutes for the bill I was charged for the cold food that I didnt eat. They blamed me for the food being cold and didnt even offer an apology (including the manager). I told them that I was not going to pay for a meal that was cold and that I didnt eat. They finally took the combo breakfast off of the bill and then charged me a-la-carte for 2 eggs and 3 small pieces of bacon. We will never be going back there again. Grannys on Grass Lake Rd is MUCH better (and less expensive too). One good experience that came out of it though... I asked my 3 young children "what do you say when you make a mistake?". Their answer was "say youre sorry" and then commented that nobody said "sorry" there for the cold food. The wait staff there could learn a lesson on manners from my kiddos.

Amazing food in huge portions for low prices. I have yet to finish a whole meal here. They have no problem customizing your order. The staff is good, and several are bilingual (Spanish and English.) Sometimes, they go table to table playing a game (fishing labeled ping pong balls out of a container) which can result in someone getting a free meal. Parking can be crowded, and they close at 2:00 pm. Theyre best known for breakfast, but they serve lunch food, too. My only complaint is that they have switched from diner-typical Do-wop music to country. It seems to me to have taken away some of the charm they had before.

My wife and I decided to go have a nice Sunday brunch there. When we arrived we were right away. We waited about 10 minutes before somebody came by and said have you been helped yet. The waitress quickly went and got menus and brought them back for us. We ordered her drinks and food. A young man brought us our food and was very friendly. We did not see our waitress again. I had to ask for our check from a manager. The food was pretty good the prices are not bad. I think we will check out some different places in the area before we return if we return it all. They need friendlier staff that are more attentive.

Awful service...Was seated by the host and waited 10 minutes before the host came to my table to take my order...he brings me back my drinks and then no one for the next 20 minutes when the waitress finally brings my food and asks if I need anything else....yes, I need silverware...couple that with the food being mediocre at best, never again

Its a great place to take your girl for a quite meal. Very tasty selections and deals for seniors,kids and the regular town folk. You get what you pay for. Sweet hardworking staff. I consider it a treat to eat here.

Service is friendly and the food is tasty; this place is perfect if youre looking for a relaxed dining atmosphere with homestyle food. The only downfall is the limited hours (you guys should stay open for dinner!)

The service is slow. When we asked about our food after 40 mins it showed up immediately and cold. It shouldnt take an hour for 2 short stacks of French toast. I could make it faster at home.

This place is fantastic! I used to go to the Vegas Cafe next door but that place sucked. Mauris Famous Cafe has quick service, delicious food, and cheap prices! Everyone should go here!!!
