[Time & Date of visit] 7:45 pm random weekday night [Party Size] 3 [Location/Ambiance:] There was music playing that night from a live band in the bar area. Mostly loud through out the restaurant. It seems bigger on the inside then the outside appears to be. Through out the dining area are very spacious booths. Also pretty dim lit. This place has a "special occasiaon" kind of vibe with out hurting on the pockets too much from the menu prices. Just depends on what you order. The waiting area has a few comfy couches while you can chill, while looking through the menu. Service: I timed the wait as we sat in the front area, as the hostess suggested it was going to be around 25 min before a table opens up. I guess the combination of carrying an actual camera bag, while jotting on a note pad and looking over my watch might have been spotted by one of the managers as he was talking to the hostess. We were then seated within 7 mins. Not sure if that gave off a "Food Critic" vibe. Haha, maybe that would have been faster if my roommate didnt dress like a bum. Assisting the server are various food runners bringing out food and to help clear the tables. They operate like clockwork while passing by each table they attend. The appetizer came promptly within 10 mins after putting in our orders. The kitchen deserves props to keep up with how busy they were, even on just a weekday night! [Food Highlights] Salmon hush puppies: Served on a long rectangle shaped plate, with three types of different sauces running through the plate end to end for dipping. Ginger Soy Cream, Spicy Bistro sauce and Sirracha. I could only visually pin point which was the Sirracha. The exterior was cooked until a crisp, crunchy like exterior that then leads to the moist inner of bits of salmon upon first bite. Definitely not just brimmed with filler, you can taste the salmon bites. The amount was only 5 pieces per serving, so its not really made for sharing with a big table unless you half them - Ok Lobster and Smoked Gouda Ravioli: Wow, I wish the lighting in there was better so I could have taken a way better pic. This thing is crazy good. So crazy that I wish I didnt have to share. (Jk Andrea!) The stuffing of the ravioli is actually separated on which is filled with what. The "striped" ones are filled with a mash/pate of Gouda, while the non striped ravioli are filled with shredded pieces of lobster. Best eatin when dunked with the pasta sauce, maybe even triple or quadruple. - Great Garlic Jack Grit Cake: Its slightly dry from being I guess...fried/baked into its shape. But thats merely on the outer exterior. Slight buttery flavorings with a hint of jack cheese on the back end. I didnt taste much of the garlic, so it must be a lesser flavor. - Good as a side {Summary} Dont let the rest of the plaza and surrounding business fool you, this is a hidden gem in plain sight. Though the prices are fair for the quality, its not made for this network admin to dine at daily. The other dining room where we were seated at is quite big, to fit large parties such as birthdays. The food was great as well as the service. Im itching to bring more friends here so we can order different dishes to sample from. Definitely worth visiting.

My wife and I used to love this place, but its starting to follow the same trend that so many others are, which is one of smaller portions, higher prices, and worse quality control. I went there this past Friday night and ordered the baby back ribs with fries and broccoli, and what came out was slightly larger than a half-rack with a small fist-full of fries, and quite literally ONE piece of broccoli lazily tossed on the plate. For $27, this is simply unacceptable and will mark my last visit to this formerly great restaurant. As a frame of reference for comparison, J Alexanders ribs are the same price, are much larger, taste better (in my opinion), and come with a MASSIVE plate of fries with a second side of your choosing. If I could offer a word of advice to Brookwoods management it would be this: stop being short-sighted by skimping on portions to boost your bottom line and start taking care of your customers because its going to cost you in the end when people stop coming back, and rest assured that is already happening as Ive talked to several friends and family members who share the same sentiment.

The good...was quickly seated on a busy Friday evening and our server was very attentive. The not so good...the food on the other hand was mediocre. I got the filet with potato cake and Mac and cheese. My boyfriend got lobster ravioli which shrimp and added salmon. The kiddo got chicken tenders which he quickly gobbled up so they must have been good. The steak was cooked to order but still fairly tough. I didnt enjoy the chewy texture and lack of flavor. In my opinion a good steak doesnt need much, but it certainly does need butter, salt and pepper. Mine didnt taste like it had any of the above. My boyfriends ravioli was dripping in rich cream sauce...a little too much which made the ravioli soggy. The sauce overpowered the seafood. I dont know about you, but I like to be able to taste my seafood. The bottom line, I wouldnt recommend it.

My family and I didnt have a great experience at this place. I am very disappointed in the professionalism that we received by Kevin the general manager. I want to talk to the owner. Let me know when you are available. The food was really good this time and the server was great. However I talked to Nicole the day before we arrived, and she told me everything will be taken care of, because of our last experience. When we got the bill, things turn for the worst. Kevin came to the table, and told me that Nicole didnt tell me everything will be taken care of. We were there to celebrate my wifes and moms birthdays. It was very embarrassing. Kevin said that Matthew tried calling me that morning to talk. If I already talked to one manager, and was able to resolve it with them. Why should I have to talk to another?

Fabulous service and divinely inspired fresh foods. James was our waiter and was attentive and thorough with every detail of our dining experience from our arrival to departure. Our first time visiting the manager stopped by to ensure that our visit was thorough, which it was in every way. The ambience of the establishment is relaxing and was consistent from the solid dark granite table tops, dark cherry woodwork, and low lighting all the way to the wonderfully lit modern restrooms. Cannot wait to come back and visit for a 2nd time. If you get a chance to visit make sure to ask for James and I would highly recommend the Strawberry Shortcake.

The Hickory Grilled Salmon dish is excellent. One of my favorite dishes. The chicken fingers are great as well! And the spinach artichoke dip with chips is the perfect way to start the meal. The dip comes with roasted jalapeno sour cream in a cup, as well as a cup of home made salsa. The Mimosas are good (at least thats what the misses says). And they seem to always have some kind of drink special going on. There is live music most nights, and always fun to people watch while sitting at the bar. Definitely a place to go. You wont regret it. Love this place.
