The Vineyard Cafe is an excellent place for a relaxed and refined lunch. You have to walk through the first floor gift shop and take a flight of stairs to the cafe, but its well worth the hike. They obviously take great pride in their food - the menu is varied and the presentation of each item is thoughtful. The service has always been responsive and friendly (Ive enjoyed lunch there on about 6 or more ocassions, sometimes alone, sometimes with my duaghters, and once with an extended family party of 12! They didnt bat an eye when our large group came in - I was impressed that their grace under pressure). It has a ladies tea room vibe, but even as a man (sometimes the only one in sight), I have enjoyed every visit. Based on my experience, I am willing to bet you will too!

I was underwhelmed with the cafe. It does have a nice view, but thats the only thing in its favor. I made reservations for full tea for myself and two friends. Its a tea house, so you expect things like cutesy cups, dishes, and teapots. Nope, not at this place. No tablecloths, no flowers on the table either. Just some fake wood veneer tables. Other reviews rave about the peach tea and the chicken sandwich with cranberries. They were pretty good. The baked goods were just okay-the scones tasted like they were baked from a mix. Maybe I was just not hungry enough or was having a bad day. I was just underwhelmed. I preferred the coffee house around the corner.

Four friends and I went to the dinner theater here last night and had a WONDERFUL time! We enjoyed a great buffet dinner. The food was delicious. Then we were treated to a play of Steel Magnolias. The play was fantastic and the performers were so talented and pulled me into the story immediately. Even though I have seen the movie of Steel Magnolias numerous times this was still such a refreshing version as the actors made each character their own. I was so thoroughly entertained! The owners were very welcoming and made sure that everyone had a good time. I will most definitely be going again!

DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT!! The food is not fresh, the manager is not professional, and you will be charged for food even if you do not eat it. While we were here I saw a woman whose meal was comped because she bit into a foreign item in her meal. The manager responded that she didnt know what the item was. When I received a pizza item, the pizza had a mayo dressing that tasted horrible. When I sent it back they still charged me and threatened to call the police if I did not pay for the ticket. They even got pissed that they werent tipped. Take your money elsewhere!!!

We ate at this place and our waiter seem to big in a huge rush to take our orders but then it took 20-25 mins for our food to come out considering it was just sandwiches and salad. Had a couple of ladies come in after us, got there food before us, ate and paid and left before us. Just ridiculous! My company had a chicken salad sandwich and and hour later she sick! Chicken wasnt good Obviously. And on top of all of that we had to wait 15 mins for a seat when there wasnt anybody in the place! Small small place and we wont be returning!

WOW - harsh reviews! Weve had lunch at The Vineyard several times in the last 3 years. It is a slower paced cafe-style experience - not a rushed, fast food place. Food was good, desserts were fabulous. This is a sit, talk and slow your pace place. Servers have been polite and helpful every time. Have not had a bad experience ever.

Love the view! Went here for lunch and was delighted! The food is so fresh and unique! They also were kid friendly which is hard to find in a cafe like this- dress up for the kids etc... Good prices, good service overall a great lunch

Very yummy food! Be aware if you have a soy allergy because we asked if the food had soy and our waitress wasnt able to tell us for sure. My daughter was thankfully able to take a Benadryl after her meal and sleep it off.

Pleasant service, if you get a window seat a nice view. Decent soups and salads, and what is hands down my favorite grilled cheese sandwich. Wife and I go just for that most days.

Delicious food at a bargain and very friendly staff. Great location on the Square. Keep in mind, however, that they close early and the kitchen closes 15 minutes in advance.
