I stopped in at 11 on a Friday, when it was still quiet. I had a great chance to take in the ambiance, and I was delighted to look at the vintage French advertisements and posters decorating the walls. Service was attentive but not overbearing, as well as informative. I ordered a Kir Royal, which was garnished with a lemon twist. The lunch selections were based on in-season ingredients, with local fare and a few out of town offerings. I decided on the CBLT sandwich, c for charcuterie, that comes with soup or salad on the side. I chose the salad, which was very good. The sandwich was humungous, a double decker on toasted bread with mortadella and thick cut bacon. I had to ask for a to-go box. However, I wouldnt leave without a glimpse of the pastries. They were gorgeous, classics and innovations represented equally. Again, I was able to get some insider recommendations from an employee, and I chose a lime meringue tart... in a box. All in all, a great experience and Im looking forward to coming back for dinner soon.

Jean-Robert already had my heart, so I was not at all surprised that I fell in love with him all over again when I popped in for breakfast at the French Crust Cafe. Think warm Parisian pastries and some of the most beautiful deserts behind a glass case with a casual seat yourself wherever vibe for breakfast. The coffee was brought to us instantly once we were seated and we drooled over the menu, trying to decide on what to try. Ultimately, I decided on the scrambled egg sandwich. Such a great choice. This is not a sandwich you can pick up and eat with your hands. Trust me, you will absolutely need a file and knife. The scrambled eggs are fluffy and creamy with asparagus and goat cheese. Its served on a warm croissant. OMG. But the real star of our breakfast was the quiche dujour...a meat filled, impossibly tall and creamy quiche filled with geotta, bacon and sausage. HEAVEN. Located right across the street from Findlay market, this couldnt be more convenient.

Biggest disappointment was rudeness of hostess. I chose the restaurant because of its good reviews. I called about making a reservation but was informed you had to be a party of 5 or more. So we go without a reservation and the first thing we are asked is "do you have a reservation" for our party of 3. Then we were told we would have a 45 minute wait. I informed the hostess that we had to check out of our hotel in 2 hours. After waiting for 1 hour and no text, we returned and were told we were next and to not leave. We waited and watched more groups being seated. My wife asked if we could be seated at a 2 person table and at this request her menu was taken away. As we were walking out the door we were told we could be seated but that it would take an hour for our meal therefore making it impossible to get back to the hotel on time. Being busy is fine but the lack of manners and communication is not. Take reservations or dont.

Figured Id give FCC a shot since Ive eaten everywhere near my office and they were on my list. I was hoping it would be great, but, unfortunately, I cant give them a 5 or 4 star review based off my 1st experience. Im open to $9 for scrambled eggs, bacon, and a croissant if its good, but, this was average. On a positive note (leading to the 3rd star,) I placed my order to-go, and, it was ready promptly and packed very nicely. Im optimistic, and would love a regular place across the street from the office, so will give FCC 1 more try, and hopefully update my review with the addition of a star or two (as well as my recommendation to coworkers.)

This place is the real deal. Their new location (since October) is exponentially nicer than the previous little "hotbox." The food is just as delicious as before but the Bistro is much larger and more comfortable. Its kind of cool that the café in the back is reminiscent of the original little café down the road. I usually get either the Eggs Benedict or the Quiche Lorraine and take home a bag of Almond Croissants (a must in my opinion.) Coming down for dinner is on our to-do list and when we do Ill post a review.

Service was horribly slow. One hour wait for our meal. Ran out of Bloody Marys early into Sunday brunch. So no libations to pass the time. The only saving grace was that the eggs were light and fluffy. However, the quiche and soups lacked flavor and definition. Bland. And the sausage omelette had just 3 pieces of sausage. Not worth the wait, the price, or the food with so many delightful options available just across the street at Findlay.

Where to begin- I had the quiche and the soup of the day and I think it brought a tear to my eye. The crust on the quiche could be eaten by itself and the filling... Oh man. A tiny slice of European deliciousness in Cincinnati. Also dont bother coming here if you arent going to leave with a dessert or a pastry. I have never been a croissant fan until I have eaten the croissants here from chef J.P.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST Croissants outside of Paris--especially their Almond Croissants(get there early or they sell out) but they are all great.Get a plain one w French drip coffee and one of their delicious quiche-- youll feel like you are in a Parisian Cafe or maybe died and gone to Heaven. The place is quite small-- weekends are packed--best to go in the middle of week.

Love this place, great brunch, great location and atmosphere. Only issue I had and I hope someone reads this, the reusable water bottles at the tables need to be seriously cleaned. One at our table had this gross built up gunk around the mouth of the bottle. Hopefully we just had the bad one, but staff had to seen it before setting on table.

Fantastic! The puff pastry is so incredibly crispy, tender, and melt-in-your-mouth-y. Fresh, flavorful fruit and eggs. If you want a simple, authentic french breakfast for about $10 downtown, I cant recommend anyplace else higher!

Just wasnt good, service was terrible. The only thing I thought was good was the prices. Waited an hour for a table which was fine but I excepted it to be amazing. Overall I would say it was just a bland experience.

Reminds me of Jean Roberts Table, as it should, and it is very good. The decor is great with the old posters and large windows. Service is solid and the food stacks up.
