TERRIBLE...My husband and I dined here once before and I remember It being very good. tonight we chose 220 again and it was a mistake we will never make again. The best thing we experienced was the sweet hostess with a large smile that walked us to four table. When the girl who came to take our order arrived we were not greeted she never gave us hee name and didnt even know what the specials were. We asked what the soup of the day was and she said she didnt know. She left the table. To go ask and returned with an answer. And said she was not a server? Well who was she? I hope not the manager bc she was si awkward. And made me feel uncomfortable. She never once smiled and looked as though she was angry to be at work. When our first course arrived at the table my husbands ahi seared tuna had parts of the silver trim inside which you could visibly see before even tasting. Secondly it was hardly even seared at all. My crab cakes were soggy and green garnish was wilting brown on edges. The waitress seemed irritated that we werent happy with the tuna and said what do you want me to do, get you another one? She did bring another that was much better. When my 30 Dollar filet reached the table it was over cooked and there was no distinction in flavor from the vegetables to the meat. Everything Was dusted with fennel which i believe to be an aquired taste. when did fennel become the new salt and pepper?? I am a big fan of potatoes, But couldn't Bring myself to eat what was on my plate. I could physically see fennel seeds all over everything. I couldnt bring myself to eat my food. After we got the check and paid the waitress or whoever she was never came back to check on us, thank us, or welcome us back even though we sat for another 15 minutes with no water. It was the worse 100 dollars we have ever spent. From the bad service to the fennel this reataraunt has literally left a bad taste in our mouths...

Great food, Excellent Service. My wife and I, along with several friends have eaten at Town 220 on several occasions over the last couple of years. We have never personally had a bad experience at the restaurant and the food we ordered has been fabulous. It might not be the least expensive place to eat in the Madison area but I can attest to the quality service and the very well prepared meals. The portions are large enough to take some home for the next day and the taste and presentation of the entres are first class. Whenever we are in the mood for a quality dinning experience, we place the Town 200 restaurant high on our list.

I am a local Madison resident and I recently took out of town family and friends to dine here. Our waiter was terrible, a young man that seemed like he was doing us a favor by waiting on us. All of our food was bad but especially my daughters steak. She had ordered it medium and it came out blood red. It was steak frites so it was very thin and should have been easy to cook more thoroughly. She took it home and cut it up for the dogs and discovered that it was completely RAW on the inside. I was disgusted and embarrassed that I had taken people to eat at this place and I will NEVER go back.

If you like to be treated like crap and ignored this is your place. If you think the wait staff is rude you will love the manager. Slow service, cold food who could ask for more. I had the absolute worst dinning experience ever in this restaurant. This includes Waffle House and many truck stops over the years. I really loved the part where you try to tell the manager that things are not going well and she tells you it is YOUR fault. Save your money,go some where else.Pay no attention to the reviews written by the owner trying to make this hole in the wall look good.

This is just a great restaurant right in downtown with probably the best food Madison. The dining area is beautiful with and open fireplace in the center and an open view of the kitchen which adds to the experience. Although it was cold when I dined there, they do have a outdoor patio for dining as well that I look forward to enjoying in the future. The menu has wonderful selection from numerous steaks, fish, and pasta dishes to choose from with dinner specials too. The service was welcoming and caring. I cant wait to go back and dine there again soon. -MG

Just finished lunch at Town 220, where we stopped on our way to Myrtle Beach. Not only did we love the quaint, historic town, we thought the restaurant was excellent. The service was fantastic, the ambiance good, and the food was delicious. My husband had a burger and I had an Asian inspired chicken wrap. Both were great. The carrot salad which accompanied my wrap was so good, I asked for the recipe. I thought the prices were quite reasonable. The experience was so positive that now we want to return to Madison for a weekend sometime.

Dont usually give reviews on here but this place was truly amazing!! The wait staff was so courteous and inspite of the fact that it was less than a hour til close time they still were respectful and treated us with the best customer service. The Shrimp pomodoro was amazing seasoned perfectly but when my party of four shared the steak...OMG I was truly blown away, a perfect sear with excellent seasoning! Hats off to the chef and his staff and I will definitely be coming back again and again!!

FANTASTIC! The best meal Ive had in GA, hands down. Service was fantastic as well. I have a lot of dietary restrictions which they accommodated, no problem. I was surprised that although it has a large open dining area with high ceiling and brick walls, it is not overly noisy. My husband and I marveled at how good the food is and REALLY enjoyed the Fresh Berries Napoleon for dessert. We rolled out of there completely content and woke up this morning dreaming about it.

The food was just bad. I was very disappointed. Ordered a wedge salad and the bleu cheese dressing was watery and pretty tasteless. Ordered the roasted pork chop as a main course and it was TERRIBLE. I could barely chew it. Ate about two bites. Decided not to waste our time on dessert. The atmosphere was nice with the exception of the tv over the bar with ESPN on... Made a semi-classy place feel like a sports bar. Service was decent. But the food. Just not good at all!

Atmosphere, service & food were all excellent. My wife and I save this destination for special occasions and have taken several out of town guests here without the first disappointment. Im from the local area and have not found anyone who has not had a positive experience at this establishment. Consistently a great dining experience.

I have been dining at the 220 on a regular basis since it first opened. This is the go-to place in Madison for consistently good food. The bar is the best in town, but that isnt saying much, as liquor culture in this town is painfully primitive. The best drinks are to be had in nearby Rutledge at The Manhattan Project.
