At first glance, Eastern China Taste looks like your typical Chinese takeout...sparse interior, backlit pictures above the register, massive menu, etc. In many ways, it is typical, but it seems to distinguish itself from others in that the interior is warmly lit, the menu looks to be error-free, its very clean and the cook is Chinese. A lot of takeout restaurants seem to encourage takeout and only takeout...painfully bright fluorescent lights, the single chair or two in the corner, virtually nothing else going on. At ECT, the interior is warmly lit, theres a nice TV on the wall and there are actually a number of tables for dining in. I wouldnt come expecting amazing service, but it feels comfortable enough to dine in. The menu here is easy to read and, if I remember correctly, didnt appear to have any of the typical mistakes you see on a Chinese menu. You know what Im talking about...confusing text, misspellings galore, dishes lost in translation... The interior is also really clean, from the front to where the tables are to as far back as the eye can see from the ordering counter. Thats a plus...and comforting. Finally, the chef cooking my "authentic" Mongolian Beef order was Chinese. Not that the chef/cooks of a restaurant need to match the restaurants type, nor is that a guarantee of better food, but for some reason it just feels right. Speaking of Mongolian Beef, I ordered it quart-sized and it was good for ~3 meals. A little onion-y and scallion-y, but delicious nonetheless. Will definitely be back here when Im in the mood for some Americanized Chinese.

I get lunch here once a week, more than any other lunch spot in the area, because its fast and cheap. $6.69 for a lunch whose portions are so huge, its perfect for two lunches, and reheats really well. I dont think the sauces are too soupy at all! They are perfect for covering the entire portion of rice. They use a ton of vegetable in all the dishes that say they have veggies. I love the Szechuan chicken, and get that most of the time. Tons of veggies, good sized chunks of meat, and a delicious sauce. Not too salty like a lot of Chinese places can be. The service is fast; my to-go order is ready in 7 minutes. The place is clean and the lady behind the counter is really sweet. The to-go containers are those quality plastic containers that can be reused and cleaned in the dishwasher.

I thought it was very good! Ordered take-out and I felt the dishes were overall tastier with fresher ingredients than one might expect. My order was one hundred percent correct with all the necessary condiments. This was my first time ordering from here and it was a good experience and I will recommend to others in the area looking for a quick in house bite for lunch or dinner or for an easy, quick and tasty take out option!

Ive always been pleased with this place. Ive been at least 10 times and always liked my food and never had a bad experience. The food is always very hot. They seem to made the meals fresh, so it does take 15-25 minutes to get your food, depending on how busy they are. There isnt much seating inside, so this is mostly a take out place.

Great place for a takeaway. Good portions, good taste but of course you cannot expect anything fancy or truly authentic. You do always get a good meal at a fair price. It does get busy at lunch time . (which is usually good) my only gripe is the enormous amount of broccoli in everything!

Lots of vegetarian options that come with lots of tofu. This is a great place to pick up some Chinese food on the go or for takeout. Best of all, you get a lot of food for a low price.

This is the worst Asian food Ive come across in my 60 years of eating it. They dont thicken any of the sauces so all of the entrees are very soupy. If I want soup Ill buy soup.
