Visited the Decatur location today with my kids. It was the first time Ive eaten at any Grindhouse Burger location. I ordered a double burger with pimento cheese, an onion ring, bacon, and BBQ sauce. The burger itself (i.e. meat) was great in that it was fresh and juicy and was not overcooked. The issue was with the toppings. There wasnt enough pimento cheese and BBQ sauce on it, so I only tasted hints of these two as I ate the burger. It would have been a great burger overall if I was able to taste all of the toppings in every bite. Nonetheless, I would return to give it another try in hopes that it would be better the second time around.

The staff is friendly and the prices are not unreasonable. Gave them four of five stars because the ordering process is slightly confusing. You enter at the fast casual counter where youre supposed to order then wait at one of the downstairs tables for your food to be delivered. What I didnt know was that if you go upstairs, you can sit at a table and be waited on by a server. Dont order at the downstairs counter and try to take your food upstairs. Thats a no no. I had the avocado salad and a cup of chili which were both very good.

Definitely not a family-friendly place. They screened a movie that involved men doing coke, shooting, and examining corpses at a morgue (and it was only 5pm! I wonder what they choose to screen for the 7pm crowd). I asked the manager to turn it off because my 4 year old is with me. He said "sure," but kept the movie on. The burgers are fine, but nothing to die for. Downtown Decatur has better options than this place (Farm Burger, to name just one). If you want to eat an okay burger, come here. Just leave your young ones at home.

I wonder if these other people know this place just opened up like a couple weeks ago (Im writing 26-June-2016). About the same as the grindhouse in midtown. The upstairs patio has been full the couple of times Ive been so weve eaten downstairs. Burger is good: probably better than farmburger probably worse than five guys (who I believe have the best burger at the moment). Cold inside there! Otherwise a find burger place.

I can see how this place can get crowded quick. Limited parking and spillover from nearby restaurants could swamp this place in a moments notice. However, any wait is well worth it. The turkey burger "Grindhouse style" was incredible! Pickles, shredded lettuce, American cheese, secret sauce in perfect proportion on a tasty turkey patty. Add a side of frings (crinkle cut fries and onion rings) and you are set.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. This place is a hip, trendy, edgy dump where you can eat very average food with below-average service. When our waitress wasnt ignoring us, she was being straight-up rude. I asked for extra sauce on my burger and she replied "Its already on it," but gave me extra eye-rolling. Seriously... Just go to Farm Burger. Or McDonalds, for Gods sake.

Consistently one of the best burgers in Atlanta. The owners of this place know all the right people in the beer industry, too, so they are always bringing in extremely rare, hard to obtain kegs of really special, and usually delicious stuff. Great spot to watch sports, and get away from youngsters because their upstairs patio is 21+.

The food is good, but Farm Burger has great burgers and a much friendlier staff. This is my first time coming here and it will not be my first choice in the future. Staff is just straight up unfriendly and unhappy... Made me feel unwanted. I almost told the cashier "cheer up, you could be working at McDonalds with that attitude".

Bold southwest & traditional flavor combinations with a great kitschy vibe, featuring anime and old movies on projection. Burgers were greasy (in a good way) and filling. Staff friendly and courteous. Easily the best burger for your buck in Decatur. This location also features an upstairs deck/bar for sports and events.

Great build your own burger joint; beef, turkey or veggie, one or two parties, dozens of ingredients, from fried green tomatoes to pimento cheese. Good draft craft beer choices. Fries and fried onion rings are merely adequate. Would be nice if you could escape the omnipresent television screens and noises, though.

Burgers are just Okay. A little small in my opinion but it hit the spot. I would have given them 3 stars if the cashier wouldnt have sucked. I felt like I was annoying her but simply placing an order. Very lackluster based on the hype the restaurant has received. Will stick with The Vortex when I want a burger fix.

Best beef burgers ever. Salad that bites back. Boozy shakes are delectable. Oh, and the beer selections change but are mostly always on point. Best part is I dont have to dine with someones bratty kids because theyre not allowed upstairs ;) where the bar is. The staff is pretty chill, as well.

Good, solid burgers and surprisingly good salad options (though theyre still fairly standard). Staff is friendly and helpful, and theres usually space even during busy times. I just wish they would source local meats and tell you where they get their meat and produce from.

Staff seem friendly...food service was prompt, but I have decided after a few visits that the food is not nearly as good as the Piedmont location; nevertheless, still worth the visit. The upstairs set-up is awesome...they had a mix of tvs with sports and random cartoons.

Food is good. Parking is terrible. Used to be able to park on river rocks but sign says city said no. They have like 12 actual spots. Since I have to park somewhere else for lunch Ill eat somewhere else closer to parking space. Why have river rocks to begin with??

The burgers were good. I had the Eurostyle veggie. Next time I will get a double. It was a little slippery with the bbq sauce and mayo but it was tasty. The sweet potatoe fries werent worth it. Small bag, little flavor. I will be back though!

Waitress w Bart Simpson shirt, dark hair and hose was not the friendliest. We had a large party and she didnt hand anyone their bill. Just dropped it off at the front of the table and told use to pass it out. Burger was pretty good. Lol...

Great place to get a good Burger to go. If you want to stay you can watch Anime and enjoy the atmosphere with kids. Leave the kids at home and hang out upstairs I walked around it was a nice experience. Great view of Decatur.

Grindhouse makes good hamburgers at a reasonable price. You can sit and eat in the air conditioned downstairs where you would order at the counter or go upstairs(roof) and be served at a table or the bar.

Personally, I think this is best bar in decatur. I think the food is excellent as well. The bar will stay open as long as people are there if there is a game or something. The milkshakes are awesome too.
