If I could give zero stars I would. Such a shame. As business owners ourselves, my husband and I feel terrible for these owners. I seriously question whether the owners know how terrible the staff is. We pulled up at 8:50 PM (thinking they were open until 10). They are actually open until 9! We walked in and were immediately flashed a dirty look from the clerk behind the counter. We asked. "are yall open?" "Umm..yah." Ok man, Were sorry but if yall are open, we would like to get some ice-cream (feeling like we had to apologize). The clerk says well if you want ice-cream its going to be like soup and Im not cleaning the utensils again (to mix the icecream). He tells us we can shop from the cooler. Feeling a little awkward, we decided to make the best of it and we shopped the cooler. The clerk tells us the ice-cream in the front is FRESH. "I just unpacked it tonight!" We checked out and drove home to dig in. Opened the pint of ice-cream to find an inch layer of frost bite. The ice-cream taste like chalky ice. Threw the pint away. Such a waste of $12. This is the 3rd time we have had a bad experience with the staff at this location. As business owners ourselves, we were willing to overlook the first two terrible experiences but the third time, Cold Stone Dawsonville Struck out! Cant wait for Marble Slab to open up down the street. I like to give my business to those that appreciate their customers and Cold Stone Dawsonville definitely does not.

It closes at 9:00, not 10:00! Dont show up anywhere close to 9:00! The staff is extremely unfriendly and makes it perfectly clear that they want to get home ASAP. I totally understand that after a long day, but it shouldnt make your customers feel like they need to apologize for being there. Weve gone twice. First time, we showed up at 8:50 and the man working said "were about to close" as soon as we walked in. I asked if it was okay if we still ordered. He said yes, but blew out a huge sigh of stress and frustration after we both ordered the chocolate devotion. Im assuming by his reaction that that might be hard to make? He literally didnt speak another word to us. It was very uncomfortable. We tried again tonight and showed up around the same time (again, online said 10:00 and thought that would be accurate for a Saturday). There were two girls working. One was very friendly and the other... not so much. She gave us a pretty rude glare when we walked in. When she walked over to me so I could order she didnt speak to me. I said, "hi, how are you?" All she said was, "good" and starred at me waiting for me to order. Again, another very uncomfortable visit to this Cold Stone. Such a shame because I LOVE Cold Stone. I wish there was a Cold Stone episode of Undercover Boss and have them see how they handle customers at the later end of their shifts.

As always great ice cream. However, ordered a birthday cake Tuesday to pick up on Friday. Gave them the time I would be there to pick it up. Even gave them an extra hour to get it ready. When I went to pick it up, it was not decorated as requested and they apologized but said the icing for the lettering I had requested was not available. They would have to make it and it would take some time. We had to substitute a different color. They asked if I wanted to use pink icing.... I said for a boys name the answer would be "No". Waited while they decorated with what they had. Disappointing when the order was clearly placed four days in advance, plenty of time for them to prepare the necessary icing requested. Lettering could have been better too. Clearly kids trying to make do. Ill still get their ice cream in the future, but will just decorate it myself next time.

Dont waste your money or your time here. The ice cream is good because its Cold Stone, but the service is horrible. Weve visited at different times of the day and the staff is always incredibly rude. Tonight we walked in at 9:05 because online hours say they are open until 10 and the girl immediately said they were closed, which is fine and understandable - I mean I get that the girl working isnt in charge of the online hours, but then when we apologized for walking in and said that the online hours said 10, she cut us off and said "we close at 9." Ill eat at Cold Stone again, but never at that location. If youre in Dawsonville, go to Culvers down the road instead.

Just went there and made a $12 purchase. I was mortified when they said my credit card had been declined. The people behind us offered to pay, which was kind of them but extremely humbling. When I got home, I contacted my credit card agency, and they said the card went through - in other words, my card was charged $12. In the end, they were paid twice. Ripping off customers is not a way to get customers to return. Very, very disappointed!!!

This place is a hit or miss. The ice cream is good, but they are always understaffed and the wait can be awhile. I would tell anyone who is ordering a cake to be cautious. I bought the peanut butter cake only to find when I cut it to serve that it was the chocolate one. There were peanut butter cups on top but none inside and no layer of peanut butter like there should have been. It was a huge disappointment.

The hours of business are not followed. The last couple times Ive been in my service was not great. I was going to get a milkshake from this location and at 3 in the afternoon there was no one there. Again today they are supposed to be open at 12 and its 12:15 and no one is there. Terrible way to run a business.

The ice cream is good... The bad thing about the place is went the staff are more worry to make their own Ice cream before close them sale to customers... 3 customers were waiting for them to finish bc the cold stone was melting the ice cream.... So bad for the owner of the place.

i just left there at 1215 pm..sign says open at noon on all days. The door was locked at there was an employee inside behind the counter who paid us no mind...they have lost my business..not the first time this has happened

My wife cant have gluten so they showed us the list of gluten free options and there was more than expected. The ice cream was great the service was good but the prices seem a little high for what you get

Signg and website say open until 9pm. I pulled up and tried to open the door at 5 til. Was locked and employee just stared at me like I was an idiot. Oh well, definitely lost my business.

Love their ice cream. This one is very small and can make it impossible to get things ordered in timely manner but the prices and ice cream are great
