Only giving 1 star because I have to pick one. Absolutely the MOST horrible experience I ever had at ANY place of business. First all the little rude lady kept trying to tell us what to order. Then once we ordered, I didnt like the sweet n sour chicken; it wasnt like any that Ive had before, so my friend got another chicken from the buffet that was a little better, so I ate a little of it, and just told her that she could upgrade my charge to the buffet. When I get up there for her to check me out, she charges me for 2 dinners, and got really loud and rude when I objected. Since it was not worth it to me to reduce myself to her level, I paid and walked out. I WILL NEVER, EVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!!!! And neither will my co-workers and some others that I didnt know that witnessed the scene! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!!!

Dont even think about going to the buffet anytime close to closing (or not close to closing!)! We went there on a Sunday afternoon 45 minutes before they were closing and they had only 50% of their buffet out. We saw they were out, but figured since we and others came to their restaurant that they would replenish. Not the case. They said if we wanted anything off the bar, let them know (with a horrible atittude!)! We told them that we wanted the buffet, that was why we came and we didnt know what they had because it was gone! Our son ended up eating 6 shrimp, and we all left hungry. Did they adjust the price since we didnt get to eat you ask....no, of course not, they only wanted our full price money, not caring if we return or not! Amazing! We will never return (they didnt care). Beware!!!!!

Outside of being a principal dialect of the Chinese language Mandarin is also used as a general term to infer nobility. I love Asian culture and cuisine. Mandarin Palace in Covington however needs to abdicate its throne. The funny thing is its not that the food is bad its actually good but they dont tend to it very well and as a result the food looks unappealing, dried out, and tastes like it looks. I think if you get there just as they open for lunch then you will be in for a pleasant surprise any later and you risk your sweet and sour soup turning to sweet and sour slop.

Chinese Buffet style with 44 idems on display (so salad idems). Medium to large size restaurant. Clean and friendly staff. Health rating as posted today was 90%. I sampled several foods: lo main,string beans: broccoli, mushrooms, crab meat, sesame fried chicken, white baked fish, shrimp fried rice. All was well prepared and very tasty. I also has a bowl of egg drop soup that was very good. I had a diet coke and the bill was $8.25 at lunch. I give this restaurant 7.5 on Traveling trainers scale (1 to 10). Recommend you to go by and try the offerings. Be safe people

i gotta give credit where its due. It is true that there are new owners. The nasty little woman & her unhappy staff is gone! A new family owns the place now and there is a world of difference! They no longer do the buffet at nite, just at lunch. I ate there for the second time in two weeks tonite. The service is polite, the food is good. Its still foodservice stuff but so are all the others. They bring out the food fast, its well made and the building is MUCH cleaner.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!! This is an awesome place to go to get Chinese food and i love eating Chinese food!!!! I have been a customer here for months. The staff is super friendly and ordering from the menu they have a lot of options. I recommend the the Roasted Peking Duck i know its a little pricy but it is worth it. Most of the meals are full of flavor i love their Hot and Sour Soup too! Its a must try place.

The food was terrible! Service was horrible. Everything was frozen products with some things being under cooked, then everything else was over cooked! The wonton soup was old, the eggrolls were still cold on the inside and half the bar was empty! All the desserts were either gone, warm or stale. I will never eat here again. Especially not for the price! Ill drive right down the road to Royal Palace!

If I could give a negative review I would. The "8-9year old manager" was rude and disrespectful. I could not get an adult to address our problem to. The food is gross and cold. Service is crappy. They refuse to make their unsatisfactory food and conduct right. I paid 25 bucks to taste the cold food. Do not eat here. Someone is going to get sick or worse from their food.

Recently went there the service was a lot better than before, I was asked how everything was the staff was friendly, before was a rude lady but i dont see her anymore i think they had a new ownership. I have been lived here for a couple months and this was really close to me. I think the food here is full of flavor and i recommend this to anyone in this area.

These are the rudest people with a business that I have ever seen!!!I will never visit here again. Apparently they dont know that customer service is everything and they have 0. I asked the lady a question and she told me that I could leave , which I did. Took my money elsewher. Now I know why there was only one customer at 12:00. Bad!!!!!

Dont eat here my co-worker was eating eggdrop soup and there was roach in her soup. We were kick out of the restaurant because we were asked if we wanted to continue to eat and we said no the owner go very irate and he stated that "it is just a baby roach".

Arrived at 2pm to find the buffet nearly empty with what few items were available seeming hours old and crusted over from the heat lamps. When I pointed this out, I was asked if I could like to order from the menu. I declined. Avoid this place.

Have loved this place for YEARS. Food is great for the most part, just be sure to eat at the buffet when theres lots of people. This is to ensure the food is fresh. Of course this is common sense for any buffet

Great shrimp fried rice. We ate here twice while in Covington, take out first and eat in lunch the second time. Service was fine and food was good.
