I have been to this location six times… Three times at lunch and three times at dinner service. Let me just state that the two star rating is for LUNCH SERVICE ONLY (two stars because dinner service is their only saving grace)… :the dinner service team is hands-down incredible every time I go. However this lunch service team made me feel like I wouldve gotten better service at a strip club on a Monday. The staff do not communicate well with eachother or the guests, bump into you (the guests) and then look at you like you got in their way. My sister and boyfriend were with me two times this occurred. They have angry faces and look unapproachable like the characters you see in prison movies. I enjoy the food, and love the ambiance, but quality of service is a HUGE deal for me. I will NEVER come back to this location.

I was sorely disappointed in the food served here. The service was great and the people were nice but the food... Oy Vey. While in the neighborhood, my girlfriend and I were thrilled to see a French inspired restaurant. Already tasting the flavors, I had high aspirations for the food after all, French food is damn near an art form. The place has a nice look, but the breakfast menu lacks heavily in choice and pop. Even the price point insinuated that my meal would be a memorable one ($28 for 2 people). The bottom line is the breakfast menu, which is what I chose from lacks passion, the food is very sub-par to say the least and sadly enough I have tasted better crepes at an IHOP. There are many places in this area with better choices and tons of flavor.

La Madeleine is a self-serve restaurant - in essence, its a cafeteria. Just wanted to make that clear from the start because I didnt realize that when we chose to eat there. That said, its a unique concept for a cafeteria and the food was a very good value for the price. My sister had a spinach salad and the server was happy to accomodate her when she asked for more veggies. My mother & I had the croque monsieur. My sandwich had been under a heat lamp and it was a bit chewy; mom had a fresh one and she enjoyed it. The serving sizes are large, but not too enormous. There were nice choices for dessert and bakery items.

Came 1.5 hrs before closing and order the Duet Magnifique. Soup was cold. Cheddar cheese they added on the soup was hard. Pesto pasta salad was DROWNING in oil, so much that it soaked my nearby sandwich. Roach crawling near the hot plate with the quiches. Took 10 minutes to serve me with a bored attitude. Asked for a to-go cup for my coffee, put his ungloved hand deep inside my cup before handing it to me with bits of chocolate or unknown particles stuck on the inside (lack of hygiene). Horrible experience. I have been a loyal customer of the chain for more than a decade. Will never be returning to this location.

This place has maintained its standard of quality food and charming atmosphere over the years. The highlights for me are the Tomato Basil Soup and the Chicken Friand pastry (dont forget the mushroom sauce on top!!). The complimentary bread slices with jams and butter are also a nice addition to your meal. The tables are close to each other, but you definitely feel like youre in the middle of a European cafe. The desserts are also a must. I have not tried their salads, but they definitely look good! Parking is decent, but can be tough during the lunch hour.

The food was good, but the service was terrible. I had wanted to order oatmeal but the people working there were too lazy to take 10 minutes to cook some fresh oatmeal, as they had ran out. If there werent a lot of people there, I would have understood if they didnt want to make extra oatmeal that would later get thrown away, but the restaurant is filled with people. The staff was also really slow at literally everything. For the price of the food, the service is terrible!

The staff act like they would rather be any other place than helping customers. They dont smile. They mumble so you cant hear them. I would get better service in a college cafeteria. For a high price restaurant like this the customer service should be top of the line. Hire staff that WANT to help people and whose face reflects it. The food is good, but not worth the Seinfeld Soup Nazi treatment you have to experience.

This was my first time at this restaurant. I order a whole chicken salad sandwich w/ Tomato Pesto Pasta. When I opened my box I had to go back to make sure they gave me a whole sandwich. It looked like a kids meal to me for $10. Now Im sitting writing this a Im still hungry. If they charge $10 for a whole meal but looks like a child meal, then I wont be back. This place is overly priced in my opinion.

The chicken and bacon in the salad had no taste, like cardboard. The tomato and basil soup was so acid, my tongue was sore for 2 days. The layout of the restaurant routes the customers with a tray of food through the long line of people waiting for seats. This is a poorly thought out restaurant whose food bears no relation to French cuisine.

Its not terrible, but Ive stopped by here several times throughout the years and its consistently underwhelming. The staff has never been very polite, the food is forgettable, and every time I come I wish I had just gone somewhere else. If you want the same quality breakfast at a better price, just go to Panera as someone else said.

Upscale version of Panera. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The pick in three options are reasonably priced for the freshness and quality of the food. The salad options were plentiful and a welcome variation from the typical salad options. The bakery options are enticing. The lemon chunk cookie and the tarts are tasty.

Customer service was fantastic. One of the employees was walking out the front door after her shift was over. She saw that we werent being helped so she turned right around got behind the counter and took our order. We didnt find out till later that she was not even on the clock. She was just trying to be nice. Wow!

The crepes I had were slightly TOO sweet, which made me feel like I was meant to eat something else along with it. And you never really want to feel like that after you just spent money on food. But the service was very stellar. The atmosphere felt like there was a little more to be desired though. 6/10

Food was good, but flow is confusing and staff were not that friendly. One thing that can help is a chalkboard menu. Staff did their job, but didnt make me feel welcome. Soup was great. Sandwich above average, salad below average. Seat was warm and comfortable

I love pure French pastries. This modify French inspired parties is ok but they Americanized it and added sugar/glaze to almost everything even the MADELEINE. I definitely was not impressed. Not my taste but some people will like it tho.

Love this place but service has gotten mediocre and I took a team member to lunch only to have a roach crawl up on the table to greet us in the back private room. If there was a roach in there how many are lurking in the kitchen? Yuck.
