I am a Nurse and I work in the area of the wingstop on Hillsborough. I love their wings and fries, needless to say, I eat there a lot. This is the FIRST Ive had a bad experience there, and its enough to make not want to go back and NEVER recommend anyone go to this location. First of all, I placed my order with an employee over the phone 30 minutes before my shift at work ended and asked that it be ready at 430pm. The lady took my order with no problem, and I arrived at 430 to pick up my order and paid for it. I made it home(I live on Bearss ave)just to find out my order is wrong. So I called and let them know that, and the lady asked me to hold for the manager, except he didnt want to speak to me. He kept telling his employee to relay messages to me. I had to ask to speak to him several times before he would even get on the phone with me. Willie Jackson(the manager) finally gets on the phone and is very rude and passive aggressive and that he cant do anything to help me. So I proceed to tell him that I am not satisfied with the service I received and how my order was wrong and that I would like a refund. He told me to come get and hung up in my face. At this point I am furious. I couldnt believe I was receiving this type of treatment from a place I frequently dine at, and from the "manager" no less. But this isnt the worst part of my experience. It took me 25 minutes to get back to wingstop. I walked in with my food and drink in hand (in my work scrubs)and demanded to speak to Mr. Willie Jackson the manager. The staff walked out the back snickering and came back with a lady. So I asked her if she was the manager? She smiled and said no. So I repeated myself, and told her that I need to speak to the manager. So she goes out the back and I am left waiting. I turn around towards the front entrance and see a man large in stature approaching from the side of the building smoking what I would like to assume was a black and mild cigar. The employee at register confirms he is the manager. He walks in and aggressively walks by me looking me up and down as if he is sizing me up in an intimidating manner. He walks straight to the register and asks his employee where the ticket for my food is. Mind you he still hasnt spoken to me yet. He tells his employee that what I said doesnt match the ticket, insinuating that I made a mistake when I placed my order. To which I replied that that was certainly not the case. He said nothing. Gave me my money back and turned to walk off. I felt he was so unprofessional and aggressive that I should let his manager know. So I asked for his name and badge number and the corporate phone number. To which he responded by saying he doesnt have a badge number and that there is no corporate phone number and that they are not a franchise. Which Im not really sure I believe. I asked him who his supervisor was and he told me "Al something" because he doesnt know how to say his name. I am very disappointed in the service I received. I think Willie Jackson needs more management training seeing as he has no clue on how to be professional or deal with customers. Sincerely, disgruntled and VERY unsatisfied customer.

First impressions are lasting impressions, and thats too bad because the food was great (once I received it). Upon ordering, I was told 7 - 10 minutes...30 minutes later; I received the order. I opened it and went back to the counter and inquired why i had no fries (prolly didnt need em any way) but thats besides the point. I was treated like an idiot because I asked why I didnt receive my order as requested. I sat watching six other people who presumably ordered online and via phone come and go. I watched orders be call with no one to claim them. I had to ask if my food was near ready once we were at twenty minutes and something inaudible was mumbled. Given that I waited twenty plus minutes beyond what was promised, to then be interrogated and then made to feel like I did something wrong (and I didnt.) I gave up and left. I dont understand why all of the "tude" was necessary. Yes, the manager (assuming he was) offered to drop, fries but I wasnt waiting three minuets more. I left this particular store shaking my head, rather embarrassed and dejected/ i just wanted some chicken tenders, not . Not sure Ill go back. Im sure they wont care. They didnt while I was there.

I had a terrible experience at the location on Hillsborough and 22nd in Tampa. I went into this location to place an order. Cashier answer the phone before she acknowledged us standing at the counter ( we were there before phone ring) informed the customer on the phone that they were still accepting walk in orders. I was ordering a small fry only as soon as she hung up the phone and started placing my order she denied my order saying that they were closed! This took place 20 minutes before the website, and the hours listed on the door stated. So needless to say I did not get my order nor will I ever place an order with this company again!!!!!

JUST DONT WITH THIS PLACE. Ghetto employees with ghetto attitudes. Ive eaten at other Wingstops in Tampa and this one doesnt live up to their good name. WINGS were under sauced, employees NOT FRIENDLY, I saw more employees lounging around and joking than actually working. I the 2nd time I stopped in I called another location to get prices and the other WS location quoted me a lower price than this current location! I guess the owner figures people wont be smart enough to shop around before buying food from their restaurant! This is OUTRIGHT SAD!

So I never write negative reviews but please dont waste your time coming to this Wingstop. Food is good but the service is so horrible that you wont care how "great" the food is. Take the extra 10-15 minute drive to the Fowler location and you wont be disappointed. The staff at that location is 100% better than here. They dont care about their customer what so ever at this location and trust me it shows the moment you call in an order or walk in to the restaurant.

Awful experience several times last time I ordered online 30 wings to avoid wait no option to pay online so I selected in store. They called 2 minutes before my order was scheduled to be ready to advise I need to pay half over the phone before they will start cooking I advised im three minutes away at the light she stated ok either give payment info or we will start cooking when you get here. I cancelled order defeated whole point in ordering online in advance!!!

I have NEVER been asked to pay for half of my wing meal on credit card, prior to pick up. According to the staff, "this is thier NEW POLICY mandated for only this Wingstop."By the way, I have been a patron of Wingstop from TEXAS to Florida, via online phone ap..... until TODAY. I plan to stay home & cook my own wings;)
