I and my boyfriend were very excited about trying this place. We arrived and about 3 parties were waiting. They hostess never greeted anyone. She didnt smile and looked miserable. With that said, we are standing in the road that leads to the parking lot due to limited space. When it was our turn to approach the podium, we let them know we had reservations at 8 and it was just after that. They seated the two ahead of us after five or so minutes who were waiting on first available. After 5 more minutes, they gave us a seat near the door and by where the band was setting up and told us the band would be starting soon. The table was very wobbly. My boyfriend went out to explain that we would rather not sit there and would like different seats. After waiting about 5 more minutes, we were seated in the back at a booth which was to itself. Our waitress Hailey is really what made our experience there turn into a better situation. She was pleasant and attentive. The good was good. My boyfriend loved the burger. The beers were cold and the battered brownie was to die for. The band was perfect for the atmosphere. It was very busy when we were there so Ill blame the poor service at the beginning to that influence. We will try the place again in the future as the back half of our experience was great. Next time however, we will just go to the bar instead of dealing with the hostess.

I looks like a Swamp Shack, Smells Worse, Terrible Parking and Wait Staff Ignores you We had heard good things about this place, got a coupon and decided to try it. The best thing we can say is we only wasted the price of the coupon to find out that this place is a total dive. It is possibly the worst looking place in Tampa. It looks like a rundown shack in the middle of a swamp. And it smells worse. The parking is a complete nightmare. If you go here you must hate your car. There are 3 spots in front and then a narrow alley alongside of the dive. If you venture into the alley you find a sign saying to park across the street. It might be nice if this sign was someplace where you could see it before trying to navigate the alley and tiny lot behind the dive. So we then attempted to get a seat. You are supposed to wait to be seated. We waited 5 minutes and watched two servers wonder around the porch aimlessly without bothering to acknowledge we were even there. Once was carrying around condiments and appeared lost. At that point we decided it was best to just leave. If it looks that bad, parking is that bad, smells that bad and service is that bad we didnt see a reason to stay. I would rate it lower except it is possible if you actually get seated and don’t mind the smell the food might be ok.

Nice place to go to get some traditional British ales on tap. The first time we went it was about noon but we had to wait 5 minutes to get anyones attention at the bar even though there were only a few customers there. I insisted we give it another try so we went back and ordered some pub food the second time. I had fish & chips and my girlfriend had bangers & mash. The fish was old and almost rancid and it dripped with grease. The bangers & mash wasnt anything to write home about either. We were never greeted in a warm manner - no friendliness either time we went. Those who are looking for a place that resembles an authenic English pub will be terribly disappointed. My girlfriend is English and she didnt like the place from the first time we walked in even though she loves English pubs. It was only by my insistence that we stayed the first time and when we went back the second time but I have to say her insticts were right. I would never go back again. It is just another greasy spoon bar.

Mad Dogs is a low key, easily overlooked, crown jewel and for us its become a tradition...fish & chips for lunch on friday or tuna tartar and New York strip for dinner. Call it an English pub, its got great atmosphere inside and out (dog friendly outside). Service is impeccable yet warm and friendly...that inludes the wait staff, the bar staff, and the owners. A nice variety of menu items and great pub food. But the dinner specials...OMG. Id say generally somewhere between excellent to fabulous. NY strip tonight...with mashed potatoes & fresh broccoli tied together with a wonderful truffel and gorganzola sauce. If youre in the area you should stop by to check it out....and welcome to the neighborhood.

Really sad exprerience. Beautiful Friday afternoon, warm and breezy and we sat for 10 minutes until I went inside to ask someone to greet us. There were 2 people working, one couple eating inside and a couple having a beer outside. The couple outside said they stiffed the waitress because she never would come out so they drank one round and left. We asked for a beer 4 times but never saw it except where she had it on our bill. Also, How do you mess up a BLT? Pretty hard right but dry bacon and dry toast desperately needs some type of creamy sauce. Mayonnaise, anything. I just chocked it down with my water and we left. Truly a major disappointment.

My first time to the place and there is no parking. I will never understand why resturants having no parking for their customers. Once you do figure out there is a lot behind Mad Dogs that is very small then you see a sign that says extra parking at Hammer title...maybe this sign should be place out front because the lot behind Mad Dogs is very very tight and hard to turn around once you get back there. The food was good but services was super slow. However, the price for my beer was not bad... $2.75 for an ultra I was expecting it too be much more.

I go to Mad Dogs on Tuesdays almost every week and sit on the patio with a couple of my dogs. Their food and staff are outstanding. Since I dont eat meat, I usually order the hummus wrap, fish sandwich, or one of their salads. The Mad Dog salad is my favorite. And like the other reviewers I love the sweet potato fries. I have been with friends who ordered the steak sandwich and they were very pleased with it.

This place was not a good place to eat the atmosphere was dark and so loud I couldnt talk to the person next to me and when I received a phone call I had to walk half a block away to even hear its a bar with some over priced tiny portioned meals horrible in my opinion and the food wasnt even that good to boot will not be a repeat costumer

We went to on a Sunday morning and waited 50 minutes for food. After the table that came in 15 min. after us was served we decided maybe it was better to leave. The staff still could not tell us if our food was anywhere near ready. Ive eaten here before and the food was very good, but after almost and hour we were over it!
