If youre looking for a fun, laid-back spot to hang at in Tampa, this is the spot for you! Cornerstone has got an amazing group of regulars and new comers. The staff is awesome and accommodating but the best part of all is their Karaoke/Dance nights! The DJ (DJ Shando aka Lano) really has fun with the crowd and gets you pumped. Hes silly, makes you laugh, dances, and is just a great guys! If youre into singing then definitely check this spot out on Weds.-Sats (this is the only nights the DJs there). Fridays and Saturdays are the best days to go and just hang listen to great music and karaoke. Their DJ has managed to combine the fun pumped up feeling of being at the club with the open and relaxing environment of a bar...its freakin awesome! I heard he does weddings n parties with through his company so you should definitely come sample his work on these nites! The food is really good I personally love the wings! And its super affordable ($5 -$10). Drinks specials are good and affordable...$6 pitchers! They also have a thousand HD big screens all over the place so whatever game or match you want to see you guaarnteed to catch it. The staffs pretty good about keeping all the major sports event on UFC, football, hockey,etc. Im 25 and Ive been in Tampa for almost 3 yrs and while I know the nightlife here is mostly about the clubs, Cornerstone definitely does it differently. Fridays and Saturdays this is THE place to be. The singers are actually really good, the jams are hott, and the people are great! Ive been a regular ever since i got hooked this past Spring. I go with all my friends and have made them Cornerstoners as well lol! This place is home.

I came here on November 13, 2011 to spend a Groupon and watch some Sunday afternoon football. My expectations werent very high because I dont eat a lot of meat and thats hard to accommodate in a pub atmosphere, but I was pleasantly surprised! The fare was the usual bar food, but nicely executed: I got nachos with no meat (they use real cheese!) and my boyfriend got a very yummy philly cheese steak and chickens wings (I sampled them, I admit). The beer selection is fair: I got a Shock Top on draft and the bf got Sierra Nevada bottled. This was a great, no-frills place to watch football on a Sunday - the only thing I have to knock is that they allow smoking indoors. I probably would have stayed longer (and paid more money to drink more beers!) if it was non-smoking.

My husband and I thought wed give this place a try as weve recently moved to the area. You are hit with a heavy dose of cigarette smoke as you enter and it doesnt improve as you move further in. We didnt make it to the bar. Turned around and walked back out. If you dont want your clothes and hair to stink of smoke after a drink or two, avoid this place. On the other hand, if youre a heavy smoker this place is for you!
