So i decided to make the switch from Starbucks to Buddy Brew because i love how the coffee does not taste burned (i made the switch about a month ago). I walked into Buddy Brew in Hyde Park this morning wanting to try an iced caramel late. Normally when i got one at Starbucks, i would ask for a little caramel drizzled on top. I asked for some caramel drizzled on top from the woman making my late (she must have been having a bad day because she was very cold from the moment that i walked in) I try the late that she made after she put an alarming amount of caramel in it and its WAY too sweet. I apologize and say "Im so sorry, this is too sweet for me" She laughed in my face very meanly. I apologized again and reminded her that i only asked for a small drizzle on top. She goes on arguing with me about how the drink is made. If a drink is made badly at Starbucks, they graciously take it back and re-make it to the way that you want with a pleasant smile, not a sarcastic smile and jerky "angry" movements. I think i might go back to Starbucks and learn to love the taste of burn just because of her terrible attitude. I walked out of there embarrassed, not only for me but for her as well. Buddy Brew Coffee continues to deliver upscale coffee service without sacrificing charm and warmth. The baristas are professional and take pride in their work. You will always feel like you had something special even if it is your daily pitstop. I wish they had an open air window to serve pedestrians since Hyde Park has lots of cyclists, dog walkers, athletes or baby strollers that it makes it sometimes awkward to go in. But despite the décor it is a casual place and regardless of dress you are right at home. There are a variety of brewed and pour overs so if you dont care for one try another cause they are all very distinct. You will enjoy!!

Very upscale. The decor is amazing with a really impressive prep area and fancy equipment. The yogurt parfait was delicious due to the type of yogurt they used. I could not tell if the yogurt was homemade, but I have never had such creamy yogurt. I also got fresh orange juice, but for the small quantity, the price is not worth it. Side note: Judging from the name the shop come across as dog friendly, but there is a sign inside that says dogs are only allowed in their outside seating area. With that said, there were a couple of customers who brought their dogs in

Theres a lot I like about the atmosphere and staff of this Buddy Brew -- at least last time I was in. However I give it 4/5 because the seating is so hard and perhaps I cynically think it moves customers through more quickly. I like to sit on my laptop and compose music and sometimes I luck out and get one of the less-numerous softer seats but I think most of the seating is designed for 20-30 year-olds who dont mind the hard wooden stools. Not really great for your back and the angle to use a laptop from one, depending on ones height, not very ergonomic...

Love the Kennedy location but this location really sucks. Been here many times and a bad experience everytime. First time I came here my coffe cup was 2/3 less than the other location. Second time I walked in, it took me 15min to get my cold brew. Coffee is really bad, awful taste everytime I go there. Place is not sanitary, Im not a dog or animal hater but they are constantly inside the store. Your dealing with food, be sanitary and allow the animals to stay outside.

These are all the things I love about the Hyde Park location of Buddy Brew: 1. The cold brew is strong and refreshing the lattes are pretty and really good with simple syrup in them if you like sweet things 2. The employees get to know you and end up feeling like your friends 3. I can refill my cold brew growler and take it home with me 4. The customers that this location attracts are all friendly and outgoing and make conversation in the store

So great! The only reason for 4/5 is because its a little pricy, and not conveniently accessible, but hey- its Hyde Park. Much better than Starbucks or DD, and its local. They are pet friendly, but its not "unclean" at all. Ill definitely go when Im in the area- not crazy about parking in a parking garage to grab a cup of coffee though.

I have given this place several tries...Here are my various experiences: Avocado Toast, so sorry, not at this location. No chai tea, sorry. Kale smoothie, not today we are out of bananas. ( FYI, 3 groceries with bananas 5 minutes away.) And the best...sorry you cant pay in cash today, we have no change.

Superb Italian marble-style fit-out in a great HP location. However sultry service and incomplete detail on origin questions. Lost of room for improvement. However coffee tastes great even though we dont know what to expect seeing we dont know source..so thats a plus.

Despite the interior being a bit small, the cozy layout and airy high ceilings make for a really chic chill spot in Hyde Park. Great coffee, good vibes, and they dont mind if you walk in with your dog to grab a brew!

Best Buddy Brew location in Tampa. Real clean looking and feeling inside. The ambiance is hip and welcoming with a great friendly staff. A nice place to chill and relax.

Very small. A few tables inside and outside. There are counter spots as well if you are trying to do a little work. The people are friendly and the coffee us wonderful.
