Great fried chicken and collard greens. If you are going to use The Roost for takeout be warned they cook it fresh, it will take 45 minutes. We enjoyed the wait when we didnt call ahead. My friend and I had a nice conversation with a couple at the bar. In our conversation with them we found the couple was from Minneapolis and were close friends with someone my friend new well. Chris the bartender took our order and served us an excellent draft beer. Chris is from Utica NY, and we had a nice chat while we waited. The chicken was excellent and the collard Greens were too. I dont usually eat collard greens, but these were cooked and seasoned perfectly. You can eat in or take out. If you want to take out I recommend you call ahead an hour before you want to eat. Otherwise, go have a beer and enjoy a chat at the bar.

Love the chicken so crispy and flavorful, the collard greens are my favorite, not everyone knows how to cook greens, the mac n cheese baked beans & cornbread are also delicious...cant wait to try more sides. If you want flavor come here! Oh and the plates man reminds me of when I was in school, definitely that country style look and taste ❤ it!

My husband has Celiac and this place has the most amazing gluten free fried chicken - so crispy and delicious. Hit them up for lunch or dinner. We need then to stick around so we can keep having fried chicken!!

Worse place in st pete beach!! Spend your money wisely and go somewhere else. We have a microwave in the hotel we could have microwaved our own food

40 minute wait for my chicken. Upon arrival, sides were average, chicken was good; but nothing near 4-5 star. Publix has better fried chicken.
