Ive been going there since their soft opening over a year ago. This place is incredible. The staff treats you like family. Angie is the best. The food is amazing . Every day, there is always something different in their pastry lineup. Half the fun is seeing what new and awesome treats are offered whenever you visit. Having eaten everything De Azucar has to offer, heres what I recommend: The Croissants: You cant go wrong with any of the breakfast croissants that are offered. My personal favorite is the Cubano croissant (pickles, Swiss, and pork) Cinnamon Rolls: They serve many kinds of cinnamon rolls. My two favorite being the pumpkin cinnamon roll (yay fall) and the bacon cinnamon roll (heavenly). If youre lucky when you visit and they have pumpkin bacon cinnamon rolls I advise getting one right away. Its one of the best pastries Ive ever had. Possibly the best thing at de azucar. Coffee Cake: Best coffee cake Ive ever had. Thanksgiving Sub: only available in late October through November. Its in my top 3 sandwiches of all time. I cant get enough of those sandwiches. Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and other wonderful surprises inside.

Ever eat something so delicious that you later find yourself daydreaming about it? Have you ever thought up of pastry combinations but could never figure out how to make them or make them taste good? When I stumbled upon De Azucar that is exactly what I found. Dessert inventions that only a sweet tooth could imagine. And you wont forget the delectible flavors or the Costa Rican coffee. This bakery is amazing and worthy of 5 stars. The staff is pleasant, friendly, and knowledageable of the variety of pasties and sandwiches that they serve. The setting is quiet with guitar cafe music playing at a respectable volume. They even have a couple of tables outside for those who wish to sip and enjoy a Florida spring day. The shop is small so expect close quarters and making new friends on busy days. And much like Chik-fil-A you will think "Lets go to De Azucar for sunday Brunch!" But you cannot. They are closed Sundays and Mondays in order to replenish the shelves with more delicious sweet and savory treats. And if you are a Gilmore Girl fan, youll appreciate the Lorelai approved coffee mugs along with their coffee.

Visited last week for the first time- and loved it. Ordered a fruit tartlet (which I gave a B+ as the fruit topping could have been a little sweeter), & two almond based pastries, one had Apricot associated with it- they were both absolutely incredible!!! This is a hidden gem, but I think not for long. Oviedo has been needing a real gourmet bakery for a long time. The pastries are tiers above anything that you will find locally, whether at the higher end grocery and health food store bakeries, or even the few gourmet shops we have. My only dissapointment ... they are not open Sundays. BTW I have not tried their sandwiches yet- but no telling what magic they will be able to work with their own luscious homemade Croissants and partnered with a wonderful french cheese and/or other "noble" accompaniments!

Ive now been here twice and this might be my favorite place to start the weekend. While there isnt a lot of seating, the smiles, fresh food and delicious lattes make up for that...and you dont break the bank. The croissant was mentioned by some friends as being some of the best theyve had. They werent lying! I had the ham and cheese croissant the first time and today I had the grilled focaccia turkey sandwich. The flavors are so simple and just right. There are Cuban sandwiches, Mallorca, sweet pastries (like dessert croissants), and the Cuban lady next to me says they have the best Cafe con Leche in town. Anyhow, this place is pure quality. Come by between normal meal times for a shorter line, but sit back and enjoy the day. You deserve it! :-)

I went by the other day around 9am. The place already had a few people sitting and enjoying their coffee. The shop is small, not tiny but not large either, but still holds a home like appeal. The tables are a little close together for my preference. If someone went there to have an intimate coffee date or a business meeting, it might not be the right place. I tried the quesito pastry and found it to be quite good. Also I usually like my coffee more bitter than most places make but Azucar doesnt put sugar in your coffee. They make it and then give it to you as is. The customer has to put in their preferred amount of sugar which I appreciated. I like the place, I will come by again.

De Azucar has always had excellent customer service and always delivers fantastic coffees and pastries. I always get the toasted marshmallow latte and they hand make their whip cream, so some extra of that. They can be a bit pricey, but youre paying for the quaint artisan atmosphere as well as the amazing good they provide.

Love this bakery! Ive been here a couple of times with my son. The way to my heart is through food and my child. And the girls here always remember my boy and greet him when we stop by. Their Mallorca sandwich and cinnamon roll is to die for. Along with everything else on the menu.

Awesome bakery. The croissants are fantastic. I personally love their sandwiches on Mallorca bread. The coffee is top class; way better than the chain coffee shops. My only complaint is that they are not open on Sundays.

De Azúcar BakeShop has the most delicious pastries I have ever had. Their croissants are AMAZING! The one and only downfall to this small business is that it is not open on Sundays. I recommend this to anyone!

Its nice to have a french place in the neighborhood. Great pastries and sandwiches. The place is small and not very well decorated but the food and service makes up for it. A little pricy but worth it.
