Horrible service! This place has declined to the service youd expect Dennys as it specifically relates to Management (the tall gentleman that works there). I had the pleasure of being served by our very nice waitress LuLu; however, I made a brunch reservation for 11am on Sunday, days in advance...only to get a VM from the Manager that morning at 9:45am rudely informing me that they were too busy, cancelling my reservation and I would be treated as a walk in. I realized the message was left later that day. What is the point in making a reservation if it is not honored. I get the to restaurant just before 11am and give them my name and reservation details (mind you, I was told I was being "checked in" and my table would be ready - had not heard the VM message at this time). Breakfast was okay, as soon as I paid the check for me & my client the Manager rudely tells me we have to hurry up and leave cause he needs the table. Seriously? I spend my money, barley spend an hour at the table and seconds after I pay you rudely rush me out the door??!!!! To make matters worse, later that day I get an email that my "reservation on OpenTable" was cancelled. I called the restaurant and asked how a reservation that I completed, could be cancelled. The lady who answered the phone apologized and agreed to correct the reservation to ensure that I received my 100 point for the booking; however, days later and nothing has been corrected and the piss poor and rather unprofessional service still annoys me. I use to love this place and was an avid supporter when I lived in Miami and ALWAYS made sure I visited every time I came home with friends or by myself. My tabs are not cheap, easily with friends I run over a hundred dollar tab. No worries, I will take my business elsewhere and encourage others to do the same. It would be nice if Managers working were professional, had manners and were not running around like the place was on fire knocking things over and bumping into people.

Good evening, I just thought you should be informed about the poor customer service that was given to my guest and I as a visiting guest to Florida and your restaurant. I was very pleased with the food, however will not recommend your restaurant to anyone because of the lack of customer service, that was rendered by your waitresses. We also waited for 15 minutes after being seated to order. Also, all I have is a server id,and not a name. Server 323, and the woman at which she was under the direction of during her shift were very rude. I was there in the morning between 11:00am till 11:59am. If you go through the receipts you will see my comments I left on the receipt. I do hope that you will be able to offer your staff additional customer service training in order to keep your restaurant a reputable place for dining.

Had a great experience at Balans on Biscayne tonight. As always the hummus trio and salads were delicious and it was happy hour (on a Sunday). Tonight the big highlight was our server "Obe" (like Obi-Wan Kenobi). What a stellar sales person (personable, great recommendations) and customer service (let us tweak our orders, made sure every thing was just right and fixed anything that wasnt). Lastly after years of going to other Balans SoBe and Brickell, Obe offered me a Balans rewards card and actually sat down to help us get enrolled so that we would receive points for our dinner tonight. Obe is new and yet gave me the BEST customer experience that Ive had in a Miami restaurant in a long time. I recommend Balans on Biscayne and am looking forward to going back!

Birthday family lunch totally ruined! Waiter forgot to submit one of our orders. When we brought this to his attention he had a deer in the headlights look and did not even apologize. He comes back and tells us it will be ready in 3 minutes. 20 minutes later as all the dishes are being picked from the other 4 members of our family and still no meal, we ask to speak to the manager. Manager apologized and said she would take care of the bill. We thought that meant our entire bill. Turns out we only received about a 20% discount and still no apology from the waiter. The staff is ill trained, the management does not communicate well. The overall service was deplorable but in fairness to the kitchen, the food was decent. Never again.....

I use to be some what a regular customer, but there are no longer any vegetarian options for me. They changed the menu and took the one choice they had, not even the pasta with a veggie option is available any more. Surprising for that neighborhood. And my favorite Bar Tender, Sebastian is long gone. The drinks are alright but were great when he was there. Once after paying, I mistakenly walked away with both copies of the check. I was on the way back a few days later to rectify when I discovered the waiter assumed I didnt leave a tip and took it upon himself to add one to my credit card. Never going back, not that they would miss my $$. Just saying.

Big disappointment....Although we have spent many a wonderful meal @ Balans, after trying to order delivery through the site of Blue Host (certainly will make u blue) our guests were not impressed with the first attempted eating experience in Miami. If ordering and eating is to be a pleasure and not a waste of time and money, call another place. The worst! Plenty of Happy Resturant owners close by on Biscayne. Enjoy and good luck.

I was with a party of 18 so Im sure it was pretty tough to get everything right but they did! Everyone liked their food and prices were reasonable.. I got lobster linguini but the waitress recommended the wild mushroom linguini and I shouldve listened to her. i thought playing it safe was a good idea but it was pretty dry and just not my favorite pasta meal. Good mojitos! Nice atmosphere for dinner.

this sunday morning my mother to eat there some one brake into her car and busted one the windows and stole certain staff from our car the balans manager instead of reviewing the survillance videos of parking lot gave my mother a broom to pick up the pieces of glass this manager was very unpleaseant and not helpful this location is very unsafe.

The ambiance, the service, the food. For the first time I tried crab cake, from the first bite, to the last it tasted great. I ordered one to go. (The first one wasnt mine,lol.) The Asian slaw, with the Chipotle mango sauce was delicious. I tasted the Indonesian noodles, love it. The server, Louis was on point. I have no complaints

Delicious Balan Burger. The Bacon Marmalade was one of the best burger toppings I have ever tasted. The staff was friendly but seemed preoccupied and unattentive despite the relative small number of guests. I will be back.... Cant wait to see what the rest of thw menu has in store.

Loved it! Strongly recommend. Too many things on the menu look fantastic. Cant wait until our next visit. More expensive than expected but the quality of food, presentation, and ambiance were excellent.
