I ordered a full house special fried rice, half shrimp and lobster sauce and large won ton soup. When I got home I found that my fried rice was only a half size. Being kind of close and really hungry I returned to the place to get my correct food. I called when I was getting close to tell them about the error and was put on hold so long I was pulling in when I hung up. I walked in with the bag and showed them the receipt that said full fried rice, and then pulled out the small box. The girl took it in back and I watched as the cook looked at the receipt then gave me a sour look. The girl returned telling me that he was going to take care of it. I positioned myself so that I could still view the kitchen and cook and what I saw next was not good. I see the cook grabbing small portions of fillings and putting them into the to go box, so I thought I would intervene in what I suspected was about to happen. I said, hey since you have to throw that half order away, why not give it back to me for my troubles? The girl opened the kitchen door enough to ask the cook and that is when I saw my box sitting next to his wok. She turned around and said he is not going to throw it away; he is going to add it to my full order. I said, wait you can’t do that, in fact I think that is illegal. She argued, oh but you said you wanted it a minute ago! At that point I said, just give me my money back and I will not be returning. They obviously do reuse food and I will be sending the same report to the health department for their review. I gave this place a very positive review a few years back and I rescind that. I would never recommend this place to anyone after this experience.

I am actually an employee at lucky garden and I would like to respond to and to clarify some things that were said about lucky garden by John. He was a cashier that was constantly on his phone, never getting his work done, constantly making mistakes that took money and time away from other employees. All of the things he said about the restaurant is lie. The fact that he says we make things 10 days ahead of time shows how much of a "manager" he was. We make egg rolls twice a week and fry them through the day as needed that is why customers have to wait at least 10 minutes for their food to be ready. John would know that if he worked in the back kitchen like he claims but he didnt. He worked as a cashier and very rarely stepped foot in the back. And all the complaints about rude service was probably because of John. We got calls daily that he was rude to customers and got their orders wrong all the time. Along with starting conflicts with other employees. Please disregard his reviews obviously he is mad that we no longer wanted him working with us and felt like he needed to do us hard by writing false reviews.

My name is Johnny Lopez, Worked here since December 31 2016 - August 17 2017. Within a month of working here I was promoted as manager because the "manager" who hired me didnt want to manage. I was forced to hire and fire random people with her iron fist. To put it short, yeah the food is decent if you disregard that it violates over 10 standard Florida health regulations daily (your un-packaged raw meat is tossed in shopping carts outside behind the restaurant, all the steamed chicken that you eat is in an open bin that is ground-level that we step over constantly, and your beloved bourbon chicken is left out in room temperature days at a time and if we dont sell it today we freeze and sell it tomorrow, and if your eggroll tastes bad thats because we made it 10 days ago...the microwave is our best chef). Also, dont bother tipping the cashier. They dont get any of the tips. Edit : Just to reaffirm the obvious backlash, I quit - I wasnt fired. I was forced to give my resignation letter in order to receive my paycheck as well. The people in charge of this restaurant dont go by the books, ever..

My name is Luke and I have worked at Lucky Garden for over a year now (and was an avid customer 5 years before that). This is in response to "J L"s 1 star review. "J L" (Johnny Lopez) was a employee at Lucky Garden. He wasnt a manager. He was a cashier. The store is managed by a husband and wife team that does a great job. As far as Johnnys accusations about the food... they are all lies from a disgruntled ex-employee. Lets address each accusation he made. 1) We have no health code violations at all. 2) No unpackaged raw meat is stored anywhere besides under the proper refrigeration at all times. 3) There is no food that we "step over constantly". Again, our food is stored properly at all times. Same with our bourbon chicken. And our egg rolls are handmade then frozen then fried as needed. Its sad that I feel the need to respond to an ex-employees "review" like this but hey, its the internet and you can say whatever you want regardless of whether its true or not. The bottom line is our food is great and were the best Chinese take out and delivery place in Melbourne. Nice try Johnny.

The food is amazing, service is HORRIBLE! The first time I ordered the House Special Angel Hair Soup and they brought the dinner instead of the soup. I didnt say anything. The second time the girl taking my order sighed at me, which I did NOT appreciate. Then I politely told her that the last time I ordered from them that they messed up my order and to please make sure I got the soup this time. When the food arrived and I saw that they made the same mistake again I was furious! I called back and after explaining everything all they offered was 10% off. Sorry, but as good as the food may be it is not worth dealing with the terrible service there. Oh, and while eating leftovers I found an eyelash in the spring roll. They most definitely lost my service.

We ordered crab rangoon, fried dumplings, sesame chicken and shrimp lo mein. The lo mein was terrible. It had no flavor at all. The crab rangoons tasted sour and had way too much breading. A crab rangoon is supposed to have a thin crispy shell, not a giant wad of dough wrapped around a ball of super sweet cheese cake. The fried dumplings were not good. I cant really describe it. They just were not tasty. The sesame chicken was the best out of the order, but it still wasnt good. It was just disappointing and gross. They did deliver it really quickly, so thats good.

Ive always had good experiences every time Ive gone there, the food Ive ordered has always been very good the Crab Rangoons are awesome Im addicted to them and the staff are always very nice and professional and another thing I like about them is most Chinese places only hire Chineses people but they hire any race and I respect that the only Lil problem I dont understand is the wait time when they are delivering the food they always say 45 min and I only stay right across the street but besides that I have nothing bad to say about this peticuler lucky garden.
