Being a restaurant off Gulf Blvd I knew it wasnt going to be good and touristy but decided to try it out anyways. I mean if anything at all the spam masubi must be okay right?? So my gf and I went in with absolutely no customers. We saw two staff members staring down on their phones. We stood around for a couple minutes just staring at them wondering if we should leave. Finally one decided to look at us and take our orders. We ordered a loco moco, poke bowl, and a spam masubi. The spam masubi first came out and the waiter tells us to not eat the plastic thats wrapped around the masubi. On top of that he tells us that hes serious and has to make such a disclosure. Anyhow the masubi was hot because it just came from a microwave. It wasnt that impressive. I prefer my masubi rice mixed with some furikake. The poke bowl came sitting on top of the bowl with the rice. Yes the bowl was literally sitting on top of the rice! In what world are they taught to serve like this? Terrible! At least the poke was seasoned well. Now on to the loco moco. This is an extremely easy dish to make. Its literally supposed to be an over easy egg on top of hamburger meat over a bed of rice and brown gravy all over. Well what we got was far from this. The meat had a funny smell to it while being cooked to death. The eggs were over cooked and literally black on the bottom. How do you mess up cooking an over easy egg? The gravy was what finally did it. It was flavorless and watery. It didnt bind anything together. Absolutely disgusting. It also came with some bland, horrific macaroni salad. The waiter gave us a punch card for a free meal the next time around but I dont think Ill be making a trip out to Indian Rocks beach for what is clearly not Hawaiian food. Its possible that some of their other foods may be okay or even good to eat. However I dont have much hope considering that they cant even make easy, staple Hawaiian food.

Jen, I stopped into your location on a whim after driving past it several times and knowing nothing about it. I was welcomed by your staff with such friendly professionalism that I knew from the moment I stepped foot in the door it was going to be a great experience. I honestly thought by the way your chef and server handled themselves that they were the owners. They were so passionate about the food and took time for not just my indecisive self but for everyone inside the restaurant at that time. I ordered the short rib dinner and made it half a mile down the road before I had to pull over and finish the rest of my meal in my car. I immediately turned around and went back to the restaurant for another serving plus another entree to try later. True overall quality like this is hard to come by and I just wanted to give praise to your operation. Keep up the good work.

My best description is the food and restaurant itself is VERY CASUAL, NOT-TOO-HEALTHY, but releases thick memories (even if they’re not your own) of FAMILIAR COMFORT FOOD. Start with THE BIG KAHUNA (Shoyu Chicken, Kalua Pork, & Teriyaki Beef) or THE LOCO MOCO (two Hamburger Patties topped with gooey Fried Egg and Gravy) – both COME WITH RICE AND MACARONI SALAD. Somehow it all works together. The gravy was a tad salty but was greatly calmed by the creamy Macaroni Salad. The Poke (Tuna) also seemed like a lesser version of really good Poke… but not bad nonetheless. I think I’d RATHER TAKE THE FOOD TO GO since there’s only five tables inside and past the counter where you order you can EASILY SEE INTO THE KITCHEN. Somehow I feel intrusive since those working have no privacy. Besides—the beach is steps away. Just dine there!

Stayin in Indian Shores for the Outback Bowl. I love to visit small restaurants and I was not disappointed at all at Aloha Hawaiian BBQ. The 2 gentlemen working were extremely polite and pleasent. I had the Big Kahuna and was very very pleased with my meal, i left full and that means alot to me cuz i am a healthy Midwestern fella! My wife went with her normal cheeseburger...boring but she did say it was delicious she tried the trio of meats from my dinner and made the comment...we will be back tomorrow. I say if you are in the area give it a shot, am excited to try something else tomorrow!

Ono!!! (Yummy!!) Takes me home! I havent had these Island dishes in years and they are on the money! The Kalua Pig, Teriyaki Beef and Mac Salad especially. My husband really liked his Poke bowl and my daughter enjoyed her burger with Sweet Bread. Good job on bringing authentic Island dishes this way. We are from the east coast (Oahu originally) but will definitely be coming here in the future. To the owner, big Mahalo! I hope to get to meet you next time we visit Indian Shores. Maybe you might have some garlic chicken on your menu ;). Til then A hui hou!

Two gals who each had their own food trucks became friends and decided to start a joint restaurant together and Aloha Dude was born. Were in from Chicago, stopped here on a walk through town with our infant daughter and were warmly greeted by both owners. Want delicious Hawaiian food? Got it. Want amazing Philly cheese steaks? Got it. Need food for the kids? They have that too. We ordered a wide variety of food and it was all fantastic! Heres what you need to know: its a small, basic place. Get over it and enjoy!

This is always my go to for a Friday lunch. I work at a physical therapy clinic 5 minutes away and Im so happy that we have this gem so close by. I like to order the galbi or the chicken shoyu plates. Im so used to eating some sort of bonchon on the side of the galbi, but its not a total loss. Id really love a side of kimchi to give it some more authenticity, but its not too much of an issue. Its still a 4.5/5 in my book, but if they add some kimchi, Id give it a solid 5.

Aloha To Go came to my office. It was terrific. They have different food trucks every week and I was a little tired of standard burgers and chicken fingers. I opted for the shoyu chicken bowl. My only regret is that I did not get the big kahuna. I was afraid of macaroni salad touching my food and afraid the chicken would be dry. But the chicken was moist tender and delicious and I enjoyed the macaroni salad and mixed in with my rice. I hope they come more often.

BEST local Hawaiian outside of the 50th state! I grew up in Hawaii for 30 years and have been looking for a local style restaurant since I left home 27 years ago. Jen has all the flavors of the islands perfected! The Big Kahuna, Chicken Katsu, and Loco Moco plates are simply awesome. Just like the food at my favorite joints I used to go to after a long day of surfing...nothing better! Thank you Jen!!!

Great food and an abundance of it. Visited from Connecticut and loved the variety of Hawaiian (and other) choices! The Kahlua pork Broke da Mouth it was so good and when requested I had Poke and Lomi Lomi 2 days later ready for me. The chicken tacos were also killer with traditional flavors plus some sly new ones too. Cant wait to get back! A for sure visit next time i get back in February.
