Joe and Eddies is a Ft Walton tradition--a classic home-style restaurant with an excellent menu, friendly and accomodating staff, outstanding kitchen, and affordable prices. It thus excels in the areas critical to any restaurant: serving quality food at a reasonable price, maintaining a pleasant and welcoming establishment, and having a constant and unwavering focus on customer service. We have been going here weekly since 2008 and have found it excellent for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The breakfast offerings are ample and diverse--a wide range of egg dishes, of course, but also breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, steaks, burgers, and a variety of sides. Lunch features filling portions and daily specialties, with excellent fresh-caught fish and shrimp, home favorites like meat loaf (wonderful!) and pastas. Dinners are surprisingly reasonable given the quality of the food and service. You know a place is good or questionable by the number (or lack) of locals seen. Joe and Eddies has so many locals that on any particular day it is always near-full, with families, friends, and local associations all represented. Family and kid-friendly, this is a "must go" restaurant located on the main road through Ft Walton Beach, a short distance from the beach and other local attractions such as Shalimar Points superb Shalimar Pointe Golf Club (open to the public, with reasonable greens fees, and both beautiful and challenging)

We had a group of eleven (3 families) and they seemed bothered to accommodate by putting tables together and then one staff member made a negative comment to another regarding the use of three tables. If we had arrived separately, we would have used three tables as well so did it really matter? After I ordered my drink and waited for almost 10 minutes (everyone else got their drinks) I asked the waitress politely if I could have my drink and I got an eye roll and a sigh in return like it was a bother. When the food arrived (my daughter and I both ordered the waffles w/ blueberries on top, hash browns, and grits) the waffles were cold and rubbery and the topping was dumped in a bowl from a can and still cold...the hash browns and grits were fine. When I got the ticket, I had added the price up to roughly $23 so when the cashier (an older lady) said almost $26 I asked how it was that high and instead of reviewing the ticket with me, she rudely stated, "Because thats what it is." I immediately told her I would never be back. I grew up in this area and went to this restaurant growing up and enjoyed it but it has gone down drastically in customer service and quality. I would not suggest this place to anyone.

terrible I ordered two omelets last Saturday night, so disappointed and mad that my seafood omelet $7.99 was small like a egg roll, egg was thin as a crepe, two tiny pieces of shrimp and mostly mushrooms for filler. The Mother Tom omelet $7.69 was the same way, small like an egg roll, husband called it thin as a condom. The old joe and eddies was better on main street, been here for 50 years. I complained to a manager and all she could say was I will talk to the kitchen about it she didnt care that I was dissatisfied with my order. I got one biscuit, a cup of fried hashbrowns and a seafood egg roll full of mushrooms for $7.99. Go figure, owners must be greedy.

Honestly nothing to write home about. Yes prices are reasonable and the staff are very friendly. The scenery is well dated and the food is manageable. If you are looking for a cheap place to eat and you are looking for breakfast go to Waffle House. If you are looking for a burger you can find a better $8 burger somewhere else. There was no wow factor in the food and for me I tried it and now I am done. I like looking for local food places and am disappointed in places that I get recommended and they do not turn out very good.

Craving a Gerard omelet (add jalapenos) right about now with a side of hash browns, one sausage link, and a half order of biscuits and gravy. Ive been eating Joe and Eddies since coming out of the womb. If you want good ole hometown southern cooking this is the place to visit. Grandmas fried chicken, warm melt in your mouth biscuits, and not your mommas banana pudding are a few things you should try!

I just had breakfast there today. I heard about it from my radio station and the waitress was very nice. I had to flag someone down to get a refill on coffee. I ordered the rib-eye steak and eggs breakfast. When the food was finally brought to our table by the cook, it was cold. Also I had to go find a waitress to bring me a steak knife so i could cut it. It was very disappointing.

Overpriced and overrated. Ordered a to-go Mother Tom omelette, hold the green peppers and hashbrowns, substitute tomatoes. Girl came out of the kitchen a minute later: "There will be an upcharge for the tomato." Are you serious?! Forget it. For $8.50 you cant sub tomatoes? Good lord. The omelette was horrible. Cheap ham was used. I couldnt finish it. Ill never go back.

We always love breakfast for dinner, heard about this place while swimming at our condo so we thought wed give it a try. It was like being back home at one of our local country restaurants, great food and wonder service from our waitress. Even the locals who were having dinner struck up a conversation with us. Will definitely come back when we come back to Florida!

Ate here last night. Had the shrimp basket. Who ever gave this place 4 stars is an idiot. Only decent thing I had were the fries. Shrimp and hush puppies were soaked in grease! The crust for apple pie was obviously made with lard. About 3 hours after meal had severe stomachache and diarrhea as in FOOD POISONING!!!

I use to work at joe and eddies in the 60s (68 & 69) as a dish washer. The restaurant was located near miracle strip then. Food was always good and the waitress were always a delight to be with. I had a lot of fun there and the work helped me to have a good work ethic. A lot of fond memories.

Great breakfast and lunch at great prices. Ordered the e and j and everything was very fresh. Pasta salad was very good as well. Service was fast. Little bit of a wait but kitchen was busy. Worth the 20 minute wait.
