Ive been regularly going to the Aegean Restaurant for the past several years and I order the same meal every time--the burger. It was actually a great burger. Today at lunch however, the burger tasted quite disgusting. Todays burger at Aegean was dry with an overpowering onion flavor despite me ordering it plain. Perhaps Aegean started mixing the meat with diced onions, or maybe they cooked the burger in an area of the grill that was full of onions or onion flavoring beforehand and it got soaked into the meat. In either case, the burger was dry with a powerfully foul flavor. My initial intention was to keep the complaint to myself. After all, everyone has bad days. The owner of Aegean came up to my table and proceeded to question why I left part of the burger there when we were preparing to leave. She actually questioned why I didnt finish it and asked if I didnt like it. I honestly hate leaving negative feedback but felt put on the spot. Since she asked, I politely provided her with honest feedback. She then became insulting and condescending to me. If she cant take honest feedback, she should not ask. More importantly, she should never be rude to a paying customer. If you give the owner honest feedback, TAKE COVER! Bad burger and even worse customer service!

Never again! Today I ate there during lunch with my 3 1/2 year old. He had to go to the bathroom, so I informed the cashier (we were seated right by her), that we were coming back. I even left my purse (dumb) and my cell phone so people knew that someone was there. We still had our food there as well. We came back to our table to find the owner cleaning our table. She had put our food in to go boxes and was already washing the table. I asked her what she was doing, we were eating there. And she replied nastily, how am I suppose to know, nobody was here. I explained to her that I had told the cashier we went to the bathroom and my purse and cell phone were there. Instead of an apology she had a horrible attitude with me, making a scene in front of a packed restaurant. She then said what do you want me to do get you some more food. Who treats patrons like that????? I was nearly in tears walking out. All I expected was an honest apology. And if she had thought I was gone why would she pack up our food?

Horrible!!! Server had no clue of what their food consists of. Dinnerware was dirty. I ordered an appetizer she said they no longer had any left, then came back to say they found some. Then she brought out cheese sticks that I most definitely did not order...I went to eat Greek food, cheese sticks I can get from sonics...and had a very bad attitude when I said I did not order cheese sticks...she said yes you did! I asked for her menu to show her what I had ordered and when I handed her the menu back...she literally snatched it out of my hand. I would never go back to that location, idc if they offered me 10 free meals!!!

I tried the Gyro sandwich and to be honest, it was not the best. There are other places that you can buy good Gyros in Fort Walton Beach. The Aegean Gyro sandwich was a humongous sandwich with lots of meat but again the meat had no taste in it and it was kind of bland. As I read before from other reviewers, the food was bland. The sandwich comes with lots of French fries and it was good. Customer service was kind of iffy but better than others. I would give no more than 3 stars to this restaurant but you have to try it yourself to find out.

Bland food. I tried two different times. For dinner the duck was over cooked to death and the side dish was a mush that tasted bland. We were very disapointed becasue it was recommended from a friend. The next Monday I took this friend there for lunch, he told me to try this dish made of eggplant where he ordered the potato version. We shared each others dish and concluded neither was not good. -- If you want to fill up and do not care what it taste like then this is your place -- not mine

Great place with a very nice ambiance. I was in a group of 5 and the waitress took our order without writing anything down which we thought could be messed up. But no, the food arrived just the way as it was ordered. Great food, waitress was very good at explaining the difference in the dishes and the place had some good music going in the background. I am visiting the area and will be going back! Try the Greek coffee and the Greek potatoes on the side.. It was delicious!

The food at the Aegean is delicious! I recommend the Berry Bliss salad, that is a large salad with dried cranberries, walnuts, crumbled feta cheese and a nice portion boneless chicken breast sliced on top. Top it off with the Greek dressing! Follow with the homemade Rice pudding or Baklava. They always have specials of the day. Great place to dine for a quick lunch or romantic dinner!

Everytime I went to the resturant, I had a terriable experience. The food was under cooked, The hostess Angie was flirting with a random man and the head cook Chris was screaming at another cook, I will never go to this resturant again !! People say that this is the best greek resturant in Shalimar, well its the only greek resturant in Shalimar.

Have eaten here many times. The food is good. My only complaint is there is this old guy who hangs out in there. He doesnt work there. Yet he goes behind the counter and helps himself to the drinks. I never see him wash his hands before handling the cups or glasses. Maybe making a big deal out of it, but I dont know where his hands have been.

The waitress got political and cursed me out for asking what her nationaIty was. A fellow employee told me to leave and never come back. I was also threatened by a customer because they were apparently liberal and defended the out of control waitress. I will never go back. Food sucked and political bias seemed to be the special of the day

Why be rude to your customers? Without customers your restaurant will eventually fail. I went to the rest. with a friend wh0 was from the mediterranean area, I thought we would have a good time however, the server was defensive, kurt and abrupt. Then i found out the server was the owner - I wont be back.

After a long tiring day of work sometimes you need an amazing Gyro, an I love chowing down on one of the amazing menu items. Ohhhh and the Greek potatoes are simply smashing! The staff from FOH to ROH are top notch, service is prompt an every meal is served with a smile.

Awesome food, large helpings, big deserts. Very popular with lunch crowd, but never have to wait more than a couple minutes. If going with a group, suggest you car pool because parking lot fills up quickly if you get there much past the hour at lunch time.
