My significant and I went to eat dinner ay Bootleggers last evening about 5:30. We go there often but usually earlier in the afternoon, more like 3:30 ,sit usually outside at the west end of the outer area by the west bar. We are use to good service and servers with good attitudes. HOWEVER, I am writing to you,and being originally from Madison Wi area(McFarland), I am familiar with the owner Darrel Hsnson, who was a great business person in Madison, and did a great job in developing the complex in Ft Myers Beach,Parrot Key,Salty Sams, and Bootleggers! But last night my significant other snd myself were treated rudely at Bootkeggers , and I know from prior expetience that is not the normal modus operandi of your organization. We went in to Bootleggers,at 5:30,and yes it was busy, and outside seating was filled on the west end. I looked down to the east end of outside seating and there were at keast a dozen tables outside open, and the entire inside bar was open.I asked if we could sit outside at one of the open tables, and the hostess said that area was closed since she couldnt have waitresses running back and forth to service that area, and her response wasnt with a friendly smile. I asked why on a busy Friday night management hadnt planned on proper staffing, and why one waitress couldnt assist us from another area, her response was inappropriate, and incoherent. Why on a busy Friday in peak season in March wouldnt Bootleggers plan on adequate staffing? Also another waitress carrying food who I happen to walk near gave us a annoying look, like I was taking up too much of her valuable time,or delaying her busy schedule. Since I have an impaired left leg needing total hip replacement ,I was in no mood to go back to my car and go to another restaurant. We decided to go to Parrot Key,your Flagship restaurant, where I had recently immensely enjoyed , your festive WI DAYS with a dozen of my WI frirnds, and had a great time. Despite the inconvenience of walking from Bootleggers to Parrot Key( again my left leg is in need of total hip replacement and in serious pain ) . When we walked into Parrot Key, it was like the cloud of negativity previously experienced by your front staff at Bootkeggers dissappeared, since the Staff at Parrot Key was very delightful and full of smiles and wellbeing. I know that is your ,if you will, your Corp. Office,so maybe management is closer to the staff. I thoroughly enjoyed our experience there and spent just under $100 for hors doeuvres two great meals and good drinks. I dont mind paying for good service and good food. I am great fans of your overall organization, and being from Wi(40 yrs and now residents of Fl) your company has a very special place in my heart. I just want Darrel Hanson, and his son,who I believe now oversees all operations ,to be aware of this experience so you dont lose many customers at Bootkeggers primarily to poor management of adequate staffing, and negative attitudes of some of your staff at Bootkeggers. You may have lost thousands of dollars of business if that open seating area on the east end of Bootleggers porch was never manned properly,or if the negative attitudes of the front dest did not improve as the evening wore on. Again,I now live in Ft Myers at keast 9 months of the year,so I am not a snowbird per se,but I have many WI friends who come to visit and always recommend your establishment to them. I would hate to have friends have any unpleasant expetience at your normally magnificent place of bussiness. As you know you are the Packer Bar and we often frequent your place for games, and have a great time. Not the end of the world ,but what happened last night at Bootleggers was very dissappointing, but fortunately Parrot Key and the staff there made up for it in the end. Go Pack and Badgers! PS. I would love to meet Darrel and his son sometime ,just to say hello! Lou Marino

My family and I thought we would give this place a try. When we were seated, we happen to be the only customers in the restaurant. My daughter and I order the beef brisket sandwich. When it came out, it looked okay, but had the flavor and texture was like a boot. The name Bootleggers is an accurate description for what your eating, well at least the boot part is. The brisket was overcooked, which lead to it being chewy and hard to eat. All in all, the food was, to put it nicely, horrible and the service was okay. Dont waste your time and money eating here. THIS PLACE IS A ZERO!! WORST PLACE WE HAVE EATEN AT OUR ENTIRE VACATION!!

Ashley was at the outside bar, a friend and i sat down for a few drinks and some food. The bar was busy so i understood not being acknowleged for 5 minutes, after another 10 min of waiting she says she will be right with us. A couple min later she came over and asked what could she get for us, me being a first time customer asked what are the drink specials? Ashley stated "your really gunna do this to me" and tossed a drink menu in front of me. A 20 min wait outside, the rude attitude, lack of service. I will never be back while Ashley is bartending. Megan was the best part of that experience, greeting and personality.

Went Last night to see the Boat Show. Our mistake was that we didnt make reservations. So we went on a one hour waiting list. Which turned into 2 hours. Then we sat for an additional 2 hours without even getting our appetizer. We watched as every single table walked out. We finally left after 4 hours without food. The mistake was being honest with repeat customers. We are not tourists - we live here. They kept taking people in but could not serve any food. This was a huge disappointment. We were starving! Our server Ally was a doll. She kept checking in with us and bringing drinks. We will never go back again.

The atmosphere and view is only out done by the quality of the food. The staff is friendly and the drinks are always spot on. The price of the drinks are fantastic and the best happy hour in town, I recommend everything on the menu as I have been there many times and filled up my frequent flyer card 3 times. It is always by game-day destination (wings are huge!!!) and anytime I have visitors out of town I take them here. FRIDAY NIGHTS and WEEKENDS is LIVE MUSIC and I forget the musicians name on Friday but he is fantastic and I schedule my Friday evenings so I am able to sit and listen to him

DONT COME HERE! Worst experience. The brisket was dry and fatty. The BBQ sauce was disgusting. Were a family of 8 people and the waitress "forgot" to put in our 13 year old members burger in so after our food came out theirs did 15 minutes later. We waited almost 10 minutes for drink order. About 15 minutes for food order. And about 45 minutes for the food. We were basically the only ones there with maybe one or two other tables. We had to hunt them down to find out why our food took so long. It was a right to get a discount on the burger as well. Such a disgrace to a BBQ restaurant.

We had high expectations from all the high reviews and comments. But sorely disappointed. We ordered two of their top suggested items: baby back ribs and the meatloaf. The sides were very good (mushroom green bean casserole, baked beans and slaw, but the main events were average at best with the meatloaf the better of the two. However the meatloaf while large enough for two was just plain old meatloaf and we left half of it. The ribs were not good, tough and had to be chewed hard to get off the bone so we sent them back in exchange for pulled pork tenderloin which had a $2 up charge.
