We went on a Friday night around 8:30. Talked to the hostess she told us there would be a wait, perfectly acceptable it was busy. Got a text from their app that our table was ready, took the three steps to the hostess stand only to be told that someone had self-seated themselves at the table we were supposed to be at. Alright? What kind of restaurants let people just randomly pick somewhere to sit when they have a wait list full of people? Fine whatever we said okay and we’d wait for the next available table because it wasn’t worth fighting over. About 10 minutes later we finally got seated and then we proceeded to wait…. And wait some more. When the waiter finally came over it was abundantly clear why we had been waiting so long, the poor man was ready to fall over because he was exhausted. He apologized for the wait and none of us could even be upset with him when he said he’d been there since 10 am, it was after 9:30 pm at this point. We ordered a few drinks and an appetizer, the drinks came and we ordered dinner and it was great. Dinner came and our waiter told us that he was finally being sent home, which we encouraged, and that our table would be given to a different waiter. We eat, see the man he described as being our new waiter and tried to get his attention for refills and a dessert. Completely ignores us. We finished our dinners, still trying to get his attention the entire time and he never once comes to our table. Finally after another 10 minutes one of us went up the tap wall hostess and told her that we just wanted our check so that we could go. We waited another 10-15 minutes and still no one had come to the table other than the hostess for the tap wall to settle the tab for the one of us who had used it. Suddenly our original waiter is back, he hadn’t been sent home he had still been in the back working but he had transferred all his tables. Yet they couldn’t find our ticket to print our bill, it had disappeared into the abyss. So he goes to the computer to figure it out. Another ten minutes go by and its after 10:45 now and I was so done I was ready to walk out. He comes back telling us that waiter number 2 must have somehow closed out our table when he transferred it over. No one cared we just wanted the damn bill. Another 10 minutes and he comes to ask us what we had so he could print a new bill. Finally we get a bill at 5 till 11, we had been asking for one since just after 10. It took nearly an hour to get a bill. We will never come back here or recommend this place to anyone we know. This was our second and last time at The Lodge.

Worst Brunch The Lodges brunch menu is spartan, at best. A waffle, with choice of 5 toppings, or 2 eggs (with optional rolls and/or bacon) is all that is offered. So, I ordered eggs, rolls and bacon. The over easy eggs were over, but definitely not easy. The rolls might have been fresh baked yesterday, because they werent warm enough to melt butter, and gave the definite impression of being stale. The bacon was the thinist sliced that Ive ever been served. The endless Mimosas were made with the cheapest domestic sparkling wine sold in Florida, and tasted like it. This review should not be construed, under any circumstances, as a reprieve for my reviews of the Office in Cape Coral or Prime de Leon in Fort Myers - all three are real stinkers when it comes to brunch. My top choice for brunch is still Bonefish Grill - their Endless Bubbles (including an entree) at $19.90 continues to be the best value, by a large margin. They use better ingredients for their beverage options, and the peach syrup used for their Belinis is the best available anywhere! The food menu has variety, and the Surf n Turf (Filet Mignon and Lobster) eggs benedict is superb. The Standard, also in Fort Myers, is a strong second place for those wishing to stay close to the River District.

Great atmosphere! We started with the fried green tomatoes, which were just average. They were properly fried in corn meal, but the tomatoes lacked the twang necessary to make them good. The vinegar in the sauce helped. I ordered the grilled skewered shrimp with pork belly and they were delicious. Really nice shrimp that were properly grilled in barbeques sauce. My sides were roasted potatoes, which could use some seasoning and the corn souffle. I wasnt wild about either. My husband had a combo with wings and ribs, broccoli and fried okra. The wings were large, but a bit salty for him, and he also would have preferred a blue cheese dressing that was less vinegary. The ribs were a short pork rib with a lot of meat. They were Excellent! Sides were just okay. It was our first visit and we will definitely go back, and work on finding our favorite items.

First time ever at The Lodge, was amazing the Lodge Combo was a meat lovers heaven, brisket, ribs, and pulled pork. Second time around in lest than two weeks from my first visit, there was some mistakes and missing items from my Lodge Combo. Third time around, major disappointments, price increases (this place hasnt even open for a year and already increasing prices), My Lodge Combo, major downgrade, went from 3 amazing, juicy tender Texas brisket on my plate, to, I couldnt tell the difference between brisket and pulled pork. Management always says the same thing ( depends on the cut) BS, it depends on cockiness in the new market of bringing in new customers. Might not come back sorry Lodge major downgrade in service, food, and pricing.

My family and I love to visit this place when youre in the mood for some beer and delicious food. Outdoor seating is always fun with oversize picnic table. They have a nice varied menu for different kinds of appetites. They are even vegetarian choices although the menu would appeal more to a meat eater. Define place to sit and have a drink or even just appetizers. We always have great service to. Theres one particular server who I unfortunately do not have the name of, but hes been there forever and is maybe about 50 years old and bald. He is the kind of server who you would expect to encounter in a very expensive restaurant. Hes very attentive and you can tell enjoys serving. One unique highlight is the moonshine based cocktails. Yum!!

I love the Waffle Excursion with the bottomless mimosas. I usually come every week. I have noticed that they are doing something different with the scrambled eggs. The first three weeks I went, the eggs were amazing. They were so fluffy and tasty. Now they just seem so-so. I would love to see the manager go back to the way they were doing it...it was almost like they made them with cream, I dont know. The wait staff is extremely friendly and outgoing. They are the reason I continue to return even after the decline in food quality. The music and atmosphere is laid back, easy going and relaxed. I never feel rushed to leave. I feel like I could sit here, listen to the music all day.
