Worse Than AIDS....This is the first review I have ever done of any business.. I ordered a $7 dollar Quesadilla. I was brought out something totally different. When I told the server I did not order this, she rudely told me I was wrong, that I specifically asked for an enchilada. I dont think I have ever even used the word Enchilada in my life. I felt bad and told her that I would eat it anyway, I didnt want to make a big deal, even after she was rude. I now know that I do not like Enchiladas, at least not from here....I asked for hot sauce and Sour Cream, so that I could mask the heinous taste of this dish. When done, I asked for the bill, which came out to $17....After being given the wrong dish, I was up-charged for Sour Cream. Looking at the bill with a confused look the server came back over and told me she made a mistake and that the bill was supposed to be $14 flat....kind of strange how she knew she made a mistake and came over and knew the exact amount It was supposed to be, but she waited for me to react before saying anything.

The place looked dirty and dark. I ordered Campeche Burrito - "chicken, beans and mushrooms stuffed in a flour tortilla". The burrito they gave me was stuffed with shreded boiled chicken and bean puree with slices of raw mushroom on top and a suspicious looking bright yellow sauce. The chicken was boiled with the skin on, and pieces of boiled chicken skin were still on the meat. Tasted horrible. I couldnt eat any. The waitress asked how is everything and I told her my food was disgusting. She acted like I said nothing. Didnt offer anything else, didnt apologize... nothing. At the end we had to wait a while till we can pay for the food I couldnt eat.

I just have to insert a comment here after reading all these negative ones. I have been going to Tipico Cafe regularly for the past 4-5 years, with groups of 2-8 people; and never, ever have any of us had a problem with the service. In fact they have always been very professional. They dont kill you with kindness like at TGI McFunsters, but thats what i like about them. They are REAL. And the food is consistently Fantastic. That bears repeating: The Tex-Mex and Latin American food there is all INCREIBLE. and I know the difference.

Im about to order from Tipico right now. I disagree with the other posts about the staff being rude. They have always been great to my girlfriend and I! Maybe the posters took their vibe the wrong way since their english is very poor, but they know the menu and can sub any order. I recommend their fajitas, steak tampiquena and chicken pollo de la plancha! Its much better here than Maracas and Carlos and Pepes! The prices are decent. The steaks are worth it though!

Agree with the warm and fuzzies on Tipico. I probably go a minimum of once a month, and they are super consistent. The service is good and the food is on time. Some people might construe any language barrier as rude but no way they are rude. Order the roast pork, chicken or palomilla. Any of the mexican too. DO NOT go there and order a burger, and I think my nephew tried to order a cheesteak there. Stay away from that too...

locals establishment in a strip shopping center, homemade sangria glass $3.50 very good not too large though; shredded beef burrito very meaty with cheddar and jack mix melted over top with a beefy sauce very good at $5.50; ground beef taco very meaty also with cheddar and jack cheese good at $3.50; chips and salsa fresh and hot chips with a good salsa I mixed together but not much if any cilantro served complimentary

I have eaten here in the past and it was alright. Not the best. However one night I stopped in and got the flank steak with the chimi sauce. It tasted okay that night I came home and threw up and my stomach was spasmiming. Also they are rat invested. I seen the rats running all over the back of the restuarnt. Do not go here if you want to gamble on getting sick!

Excellent Spanish/Mexican Cuisine! Shredded pork, thinly pounded steak and chicken, a variety of fish dishes as well as traditional fare,(nachos, fajltas, tacos, enchiladas)are available. There are lunch specials which include a beverage. Wine , sangria beer and margaritas to complete your meal. Truly, there is NO bad food here! Nicely priced.

Luis was are waiter , The service was very good. I had the Mahi and Shrimp fajitas. My girlfriend ordered a variety of vegetarian dishes, 1 of was the White Bean soup. The Fajitas were incredible, it was the sauce that set the meal above any other restaurant. The atmosphere is pleasant and the whole experience was enjoyable.

Was in town for business and had the best service! Most servers arent too friendly with a one person party taking up their table. Food was beyond delicious and you get a lot of food. Price was very affordable. Anyone who is in the area should give this authentic restaurant a try.

My boyfriend and I have been coming here for over 4 years and its honestly the best Mexican food weve found in the area. My staple is the chicken flautas :) The beef tacos are another favorite. Dont let the negative reviews drive you away. This place is great!

Authentic and delicious Mexican Food in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Lunch for 2 on a Saturday was about $50 with a bottle of Merlot, Crab Meat Nachos, and 2 fried grouper sandwiches. The food is fantastic and I highly recommend Tipico.

The food is authentic and delicious, the staff are very nice and efficient, and the restaurant itself is very clean and pleasant. Easily some of the best Mexican food in the south Florida area

Fast & friendly service, delicious food, and quality margaritas! From the outside, it doesnt look like much, but we were very impressed from the moment we sat down.

Best Latin food and service. The owner goes out of her way to insure everyone leaves completely satisfied. Special recognition to Ana my server. She is the best.

Have gone several times. Food is fantastic, only complaint is it tends to be cold inside. So wear a sweater or long sleeves and youll have a WONDERFUL meal

Its okay, beef tacos are weird. Pretty pricey for non english speaking workers. Small portions.. Maybe good for locals but not so much tourist

I dont know how you can mess up a taco at a Mexican place. My chicken tasted like leather and it was inedible

Food was ok, beer selection is terrible, staff was mediocre. I dont think they smiled one time.

Had the worst horse meat burrito ever. I would have been embarrassed to serve that to anyone.
