Horrible service!! Visited here on 1/2/2016 and experienced the worst service. As we walked in the hostess barely mustered a "hi". And acted as if we were a bother to her. Once seated, Bradley (who never introduced him self), came by took our orders, delivered our orders and was never seen again. He was very active at other tables, but once our food was served he was never seen again until he dropped off our bill without saying a word. The Belgian waffle I had was absolutely amazing!! But the steak sandwich my fiancee had was not cooked the way she asked it to be cooked. Quite frankly, its hard to enjoy the food when the service was so far below par. I may give another franchise a try, but I will never again go to this location.

Food is good, for sure. Typical pancake house food. However, Gita, the server, made it outstanding. We were traveling, with three dogs. So, take-out was the only option. My wife went in to get food while I stayed with the dogs in the car. She told me that the initial servier she encountered said to get take out she had to get a table, order, then request boxes to box the food after its served. But, Gita overheard this and said just order with me and Ill pack everything for you. My wife ordered and Gita delivered two bags with ALL our food and utensils as well as the proper condiments, without any issues. Bravo for Gita. She got our day off to a great start! Thank you Gita.

They get 0 stars and I will NEVER go back there again. The first 2 times I went, I thought I was over reacting but Im not this 3rd time proved that. They are RACIST. The service was beyond poor,waiting and the fact that we were not greeted and waiting there and a white man walked in was greeted and seated before me and my family. No one checked on us they forgot our drinks, no refills no napkins and so on. I complained to the manager before and nothing has changed. I would have appreciate a no blacks allowed sign and get better service elsewhere. They got one star because I cant post this without it.

Típico desayuno americano, la atención es muy buena. Si no quieres ir a lugares como Dennys o IHOP, definitivamente esta es una buena opción. Los precios son aceptables aunque un poco caro a mi parecer. Lo mejor es el personal, siempre amables y con buena actitud.

My wife and i have made this place our Saturday morning after the gym guilty treat. By Thursday morning Im picturing my 2x4, scrambled eggs with American cheese, red peppers and onions, pancakes and white toast. My sister came to Florida for a visit and fell in love. The food is so fresh and delicious. Im sitting at the pancake house right now waiting for my order. I love this place and its also sooo inexpensive. We used to do Saturday brunch at the Ritz Carlton but now do so less and less. The staff is great as well.

The food is always good at the Original Pancake House, but this establishments staff was absolutely horrible. Go to another location with a different staff. The wait was 45 minutes when told 10-15 minutes, then the waiter brought us coffee and took 25 minutes to give us our water with a coffee refill. I will never go to this location again. I always love getting the "Original" with banana pancakes for my breakfast. Great food,but go to another location to enjoy.

Not sure where the last comment came from but we went to the one on rt#1 Federal Blvd and I would say this location is anything but racist. We are from NJ and we have been here 3 times and the service and food has been on point. Im not an egg person and this restaurant offers many options. Try the 49ers for a light pancake.. very good, go out of your comfort zone and try something different.

Original Pancake House on Federal Hey south of Oakland service sucks lunch break started at 12:56 took 15 minutes to be waited on Food didnt come out until I left at 1:40pm when I was leaving. If I could they would not get any stars. No one took initiative to serve me. Period I kept hearing the servers say thats not my table. This being my first time ever eating or trying to eat there

This place was great for breakfast. The hash browns were light and fluffy instead of overcooked and greasy at most places. The baked omelets were fluffy and cooked to perfection. Whipped topping on the pancakes was delicious and thick. Portions were good sized. The Apple Baby was delicious. Seemed more like dessert. I highly recommend trying it out.

Good breakfast, definitely a step up from IHOP. I had the stuffed french toast which was good, but not great. The slices are big but also very bready. Service was friendly and fast on a Sunday around 8am. 4/5, would go again. Just a side note, they dont have bagels. Not sure if thats just a Florida thing or only for this restaurant.

Absolutely horrible. I ordered a cheese and mushroom omlette. They forgot the mushrooms and only put a little dab of cheese in the very middle. Once the food was delivered, the waitress never came back until she gave me the bill, never asked how it was. I was there for over an hour. Bad food,bad service.

went in this morning to have breakfast. it took 40 minutes to get the food after we ordered it. they forgot my wifes pancakes and brought burned potatoes. now my wife and I have huge stomach aches and have been in bathroom several times. I will NEVER go thereagain I suggest if hungry in the area go ELSWHERE

Not family friendly. Was told the wait was 15 minutes, then forced to wait an hour because they refuse to seat young children requiring a high chair at the vast majority of their tables. Terrible service, very disorganized and loud, mediocre food. Unless you like waiting, go to Lesters instead.

Breakfast all day, except no oatmeal after 1pm. Service was slow given that there were not a last of people in the restaurant. Food was good. Place was clean and spacious. Good location and plenty of parking. Nothing was vegetarian friendly except for the oatmeal and pancakes. $$

Long waits for a table, but tasty food. We had the famous cast iron pancakes, which were huge and very tasty (the one I got was filled with local sweet corn). I only finished about half of it. All the portions here are large, but they charge a $5 split plate fee.

Very disappointed! It was so sad, because it was a great place to have breakfast. One omelet was prepared poorly, no cheese enough and the house potatoes with not even a grain of salt on it. Seems that they are cutting corners! Shame on you!

This place is one of the BEST, for breakfast, here in Fort Lauderdale. The waitress Christy, was one of the nicest and friendliest server I have ever met!! For sure Ill be back and will definitely ask for her!! Honest, shes that good!!!

The best breakfast I had during my stay in Ft. Lauderdale...We had 45 minutes to eat and get to the airport. We had a delicious breakfast and were out the door and to the airport on time, even though the restaurant was packed out.
