Mid morning on this past Sunday. Kind of busy as most new places will be in Coral Springs. Had a wait for a two top so we sat instead at the counter. There are six or eight counter stools so no big deal. Another couple sat next to us immediately. Waited around eight minutes to get a menu. Took another ten to get a drink order. Finally gave up and I ordered a breakfast and my wife had a sandwich. Try to keep it simple on first attempt at a new place. Did have fun watching the kitchen operate tight in front of us even though as expected it was a bit noisy. It also allowed us to hear each order that was called out and then chased by a hurry up this table is ready except for the.. fill in the blank I would estimate that something was afoul on one out of five orders. My simple breakfast of three scrambled eggs suasage toast and home fries was ok. We watched as the cooks applied a generous amount of clarified butter to everything on the flat top, including the sausage, which made it extra greasy. The wife had a BLT which she stated was average at best. Took an extra eleven minutes to get the bill, which if you pay by card they have an app on an IPad. I made the mistake of ordering a slice of key lime pie to go. Add on an additional ten minutes for the bakery to cut and place in foam container to go. They have fried chicken, chicken fingers, fried sandwichs BUT NO chicken fried steak. Honestly did not think that this was much of a step up from Dennys or IHOP, especially if you add in the hour and twelve minutes that this whole ordeal took. Will NOT suggest to our friends and will not be returning. Thier are plenty of options in Coral Springs and more of the Mom and Pop breakfast joints that do a way better job for less cost and an eternity less time.

I have read all of the great reviews about this place and I have been wanting to come here for awhile. I finally got the chance last Sunday. My daughter and I volunteered to take some pictures for the Sample Road Church by the Glades Easter celebration. We ran out of the house in the morning and were so busy that we never had a chance to eat all day. Next thing I knew it was 3 oclock and we were starving. I suggested we head over here because of the close proximity to the church. We were seated immediately and our server was the incredibly nice and attentive Vincent. We started off with two peach ginger ice teas. They were delicious and Vincent kept us in refills throughout our meal. My daughter and I decided to share a meal because we had to eat Easter dinner in a few hours. We chose the famous chicken and waffles. The portion was huge! Vincent said that was what metro Diner is known for, huge portions. He said that a lot of people opt to share a meal. Even as hungry as I was I could never have eaten the whole thing. You get fluffy waffles with strawberry butter and a half of a fried chicken. Before our meal was delivered Vincent came by and stirred some hot sauce into our syrup. It didnt taste hot at all, it just added flavor. The meal was divine. The waffles were my favorite. I didnt know they could be so light and airy. We were in a hurry on the day we visited but I cant wait to go back and try some other things.

I can not comment on the quality of the food because I never had a chance to try it due to the lack of service at this restaurant. My family and I were so excited to try this place out for Fathers Day. A week prior we called to make a reservation. We were told they do not take reservations but to please do call ahead seating 30 minutes prior to your arrival. We attempted to do that on the morning of and was told we could not do that anymore but to just come in and expect about a 20 minute wait. My father arrived about 10 minutes later and he was told it was more like a 45 minute wait. After we all waited for over an hour and 15 minutes we were told they were clearing a table for us. As we were just about to sit down someone else sat another family right in front of us. No apology given at all by someone believed to be the manager, just "Well you need to wait, some people are waiting 90 minutes." We agreed to wait a bit longer but then they sat two other familys still before us . We were now going on two hours with very hungry and cranky kids. The only person who had the decency to apologize to us was the host who admitted they screwed up going down the list but was still nothing he could do. We had no other choice but to leave after the restaurant already ruined a family meal for the holiday for us. Very disappointing.

This place is awesome. Today was my first visit and I will be back. I was alone, so I sat at the bar. This allowed me to see and smell every dish that was ordered during the lunch rush. Even though they were working their behinds off, each cook took a second to smile and ask me how I was doing. In the first minute sitting at the bar I was asked at least three times if anyone had come by to take care of me. Within two minutes my iced tea was in front of me and my order had been taken. Everyone working seemed happy to be there! I ordered the chicken pot pie (at the recommendation of my waitress) and it was the best Ive ever had. The crust was flaky and light. Underneath, the bowl was full of chicken and vegetables. I have never had a chicken pot pie in a restaurant with so much chicken! Not only was my meal awesome, every dish that came out of the kitchen looked equally good. Everything about this visit, from the service to the quality of the food, was five stars. I will definitely be back.

Ok, so I just left this place. I had a great food experience but not a service experience.... I would give them a 5 star if service was any good.... I felt rush and disgust by the way my server made me and my wife feel... she kept coming back and forth to see if my wife had already eating her good. NOT COOL.. She also seem to get aggravated at the fact that my wife was trying to figure out what she wanted and her co-worker came to assist my wife on what to get and she was a lot nicer. Patience lady patience!!!!.... ok, enough about service, the food was super delicious, I would come back again but with a different server but I still havent made my mind about that, I mean there are plenty of diners that I can go to and get a better treatment... IIll be glad to answer any questions about this location and if you found this comment helpful please press like.

I would like to give this place a 2.5 rating. I had a French dip sandwich (roast beef on a roll with au jus). Roll and au jus were bland. French fries were delicious. Other half had clam chowder (was not good) and a reuben sandwich (bland too). One thing that had pluses and minuses was the use of an I-pad to take the order. Plus side was that the info was immediately sent to the kitchen to place the order. Minus side was that it took so long for the waiter to enter the info and I think the Wi-Fi kept going out as the guy took out the "old fashion" order pad when things went slow. I grew up in New Jersey, diner capital of the world (or so we from New Jersey believe). There are very few "diners" in Florida that can use this title (per me). This aint one of them.
