A disappointing experience overall. Susan was our waitress, short on chat and cold we got the impression we were just another couple of bodies entering her booth. Not warm & friendly, she was very matter of fact, like she was not really "there" nor happy with her job and wanted to just get though it. : ( The menu made the food look glorious, very overpriced for breakfast! We bit the bullet and ordered our meal, upon arrival of our food, we were kind of shocked at the meager portions, the menu LIED! : 0 The quality of the food was generally speaking good, but the bacon strips were extremely small and the biscuits were almost bite size, served with canned sausage gravy, Yuk! Hash browns were quite small too. Such small servings made us cringe at the nearly ten dollar price tag attached to it and we even laughed afterwards about still being hungry after dropping almost $30 on our five eggs and a few morsels meal! The service was generally fair, we were asked how our food was but then they didnt stick around long enough to get the answer, Im sure our faces said it all, but nobody seemed to really care! we felt rushed and not very warm and welcome there. One bright spot, was a balloon man named Glenn who worked the crowd making balloons for the kids. Wont be going back to Perkins in Clearwater! Lukewarm Hospitality from our waitress, small portions, and a hurried unfriendly atmosphere, not to mention way overpriced breakfast! Go to IHOP, they do a much better job overall! Perkins in Clearwater if your listening, DROP your prices and BEEF UP the portions, and give your waitresses some southern charm training!

Some of the food is bland but so much to choose I always find something flavorful enough to make me happy. Prices seem a bit high for that type of restaurant, (food for thought) but is necessary, I assume they try to buy the best they can. Alot of times you truly get what you pay for so you see then the price point shouldnt matter when you want a good meal. I dont mind paying a little more if its worth it and I do believe Perkins is definitely worth it. They do offer smaller portion, 55 plus menu at a very affordable price point. You have to give it a chance, first timers, I would suggest that you ask your server, "What is your fav?, What is most popular? ETC. If your server recommends a meal and it is something that you like, trust her and go with it. All of the servers are knowledgeable and since Perkins adds new foods often it seems the servers know and are probably involved in tastings of new menu items. Many have worked years and years at that Perkins some even now in management. Simply put, it is clean, great food, smashing staff and you dont hear or see drama between employees. Love the desserts, that is my go to place for pies and mammoth muffins. Always adding and trying new yum yums in the bakery dept as well I find their baked goods are priced appropriately. Do yourself a favor, stop in and get a pie, muffins, cookies or pasterys buy for a loved one and do a random act of kindess. It is fun being nice to others. Enjoy Perkins, it is ultra casual. (No Ballroom gowns needed here) Enoy! Enjoy! If something isnt right get a manager, they make it good. Try and post me on your experience so I can share with them.

The food was great, our server was great, the reality show happening while we ate was quite embarrassing for this franchise, first of all I believe this location should Fire destiny ( the hostess)she was extremely rude. Did not great us. She was Yelling at people across the restaurant. Was bully to Carol (a server). It Was just embarrassing to watch. This lack of customer service she displayed was unacceptable. She had a terrible attitude. Half the time she was standing there with other servers gossiping shooting the breeze and bad mouthing people. All of this taking place in front of guest. Give Carol a raise for having to deal with destiny and the bullying she received and some how managed to not feed into. Michael the manager did nothing!!!! Some how the only thing he managed to do was sit there and just watch!!!!! He Walked around like a deer in the headlights. He had no idea what was happening around him The location is embarrassing to Perkins and needs serious help. Sending out an S.O.S for this place.

My server was very rude. I understand that your food may take awhile when its busy. But our waitor totally ignored us. She came in our area seveal times and checked on everyone except us. So we finally called her over and she rudely says "what i know, your food is coming". She comes with the food and SLAMS on food on the table. Then she says "enjoy" and quickly walks off. My husband and I were upset of course and we had enough. We left the table and found the manager. We explained our experience with the waitress and my husband wanted her to apologize. Well the manager "did not want to put her on the spot". So he finally bring her over after we persisted. She come over rolling her eyes and giving an insincere apology. This was the worst experience at a restaurant and I do not recommend anyone to eat there.

I took my boyfriend here for the first time since hes never been to a Perkins before. We were delightfully surprised as the service was great, there were buy 3 get 3 free specials on muffins/cookies, and the food was amazing for as far as breakfast foods go. We both ordered the omelet specials which included a stack of 3 pancakes each. I make pancakes daily for my boyfriend since he loves them and the Perkins pancakes were some of the best ones we have ever had! Normally I wouldnt be so excited about a breakfast food place but this Perkins is better than the others I have ever been to. There was even a woman making balloon animals for kids! There are also coupons available for this place in one of the many visitor brochures. We will be stopping by this Perkins again before the end of our trip is over!

We enjoyed the meal but we had our food no longer than a minute and she brought us the check all ready to go,,, we actually were looking forward to have some dessert but felt as tho we were being rushed out the door. we were there at 11 pm so there wasnt anyone waiting or anything, there were plenty of open tables and the people acrooss from us were getting excellent service from their waiter and friendly too. Dont know what happened with our waitress.but we were offended like we were being asked to leave or something.Ive never been to Perkins before but my finance was a frequent customer. the food was good but next time I think we should ask for someone else to serve us

My girlfriend and I were in there in June of 2017. We sat in a booth caddy corner to the kitchen. Our waitress took our drink orders and walked into the kitchen. As she walked past the door she shreaked and her and the manager both stomped something( I am assuming a bug). I continued to observe what was going on and moments later a bus boy with a broom began swatting at something on the wall. At that moment 3 large cockroaches (about 2-3 inches in length) ran across the wall. We then stood up and left the restaurant. The more disgusting part is Ive eaten there numerous times. Who knows what I have inhaled unknowingly. I will never go there again. 0 stars if possible.
