Well, Im only taking one star off because Ive been shopping at this Publix for over 3 years and have never had a bad experience...yet today I must have missed the sign that said "No phones allowed while being checked out". Please correct me if this is an unspoken rule, but I have never had anyone give me the death stare like this cashier did and I have been in her line many times before (granted probably not on the phone). Maybe she was having a bad day, but I think she could have handled the situation better and hope she does in the future. She began by talking to the bag boy about some study about neck issues with people who always talk on their phones, then preceded to give me the death stare the entire time I was checking out. By the time I finally put together the reason why she might be doing that, I apologized for being on the phone and she just shrugged her shoulders and raised her eyebrows as if to let me know, yes that is in fact what she was pissed about. So weird. Maybe there is a behind the scenes job that this cashier might be less offensive doing, as I usually enjoy chatting up the cashier, but dont feel as though I should be scolded if Im catching up with a friend on my phone instead.

I have celiac disease, and every Publix I have ever been to has always accommodated accordingly. Yet, this Publix was unable to? I have a gluten allergy and normally Publix will allow me to choose my gluten free wrap, or they offer gluten free bread. This location didnt offer gluten free bread, which I understand because a lot do not. The female in the deli was already rude, "Well, we dont do that here, this isnt Orlando". That statement already put me in bad vibes. Then I mentioned that Publix normally lets me choose my wrap, and she continued to say "This is a different location". Well, obviously. So, I then go to the manager, and this man "Sam" stated that I would have to buy the gluten free wraps, and then pay for the sub. So I would have to buy a $4 package of gluten free wraps, and then pay $8 for a wrap that will only be HALF the size of a full sub. Just unreal. I love publix, and I will continue to attend my regular, but this place was ridiculous, and rude staff.

Although I adore Publix, this particular branch has left a "not-so-nice taste" in my mouth (figuratively speaking). My understanding is that part of being a Publix employee is to push the cart of purchased groceries to the cars of their loyal customers and help unload bags into the car....without asking....especially if the entire cart is full. NOT with this Publix. I have been there on numerous occasions and 1 out of 10 times, they offer to help me out. The times they have asked, they look aggravated to do so, and they are not friendly. In addition, most of their cashiers and other employees look like they hate their job and it makes for a very unpleasant experience to shop there. I rarely shop at this Publix and usually drive out of my way to shop elsewhere for better service. However, I will continue to keep trying, as the location of this Publix is more convenient. Please, Publix....get back to your original motto...."where shopping IS a PLEASURE!"

This Publix is pretty bad. The deli department makes hit or miss subs, sometimes a lot of meat, sometimes very little. I just got a boars head roast beef that has about two slices in it! they never have premeasured portions at night so it takes forever to make subs and rarely have any bread left after 7 PM. If youre looking for a sub after the gym, definitely try somewhere else. The meat department could also use a lot of improvement. There is rarely anyone available to help at the counter and Ive given up waiting several times. When I can, I go out of my way to a different Publix where its always a pleasure!

Publix. Where shopping is a pleasure. NOT. The staff their is the most unfriendly people I have ever seen. Especially in the seafood dept. Last time I was there some lazy Negro acted as if it was a huge inconvenience to have to wait on me. Typical. Last time I remember to get paid, you have to work. In short, I will never shop there again. Ever !! And I know of many other people who have had the same experiences. They now shop at the Fresh Market. Just like me. F U. Publix.

Frienfly staff. Clean location. Only have 2 gripes: 1. Getting in and out of this location is horrendous, even at non-peak hours. 2. Bought a BOGO wine for the wife and the cashier didnt double bag them. One broke in my driveway and the other tore through the bag but didnt fall out by the time I noticed. If it wasnt BOGO and cheap wine, I might have been peeved.

I have been coming to this Publix for 2 trips and my first trip was AMAZING STAFF WAS FRIENDLY. I came back again and Deli staff member was very rude and NOT how a Publix emloyee should talk to a customer. I would have talked to a manger but I didnt want to spend more of my time at this place. I just paid what I had already in my cart and left.

The store is great, the selection is good. However, the employees are the most unfriendly people I think I have ever met in my life. I have been coming here every Saturday for several months now, and it never seems to improve. Not to mention, they have no clue how to bag food properly. Really, who teaches at the bottom of a heavy grocery bag?!

Wasted my time here... I love me some Publix but they need to get the sub area together. They are way too popular to have this tiny sub bar with one person going .5 mph behind the counter. It took me 10 min to decide to not wait for another 15 before I was served. Get it together.

I like this Publix because its got the largest selection of all the Publix locations in the Clearwater area. They carry lots of organic selections which I think is great. Its well kept, the staff are nice and there is plenty of parking.

Corey in the deli ! He was 5 people deep and always had a positive attitude / he even addressed the people waiting in line. Letting them know he would be right with them . He was very quick and efficient! Thank you Corey.

I use to enjoy shopping it there, not as friendly since remodel. When they do not have sale items and you ask for rain check it is a big hassle. They act as if you are trying to get it for free.
