Not a charm the 3rd time I have been to this restaurant on three occasions, each time I come away disappointed. I first came here in 2002 and did not like it and never would have been back but it stayed busy and everyone says its was so good so I thought I would give it another shot. Well flash forward a few years later and I went with my wife and again disappointment. So this brings me 2013 and again my curiosity got to me. I would drive by and the place would be packed and I would think to myself "maybe I just two bad meals five years apart, I should give it another chance". Well I regret going back again. We took the whole family and not one of us liked our meal,we all said it was bland and tasteless. My wife said hers was so enjoyable she passed on taking home her leftovers, a first for her @ any Mexican restaurant. When I go to a Mexican restaurant I always have my staples that I base on whether it passes my test, salsa/chips, taco, and Chile poblano. The salsa tasted like Pace(store brand) salsa with a little heat added along with some cilantro. Horrible. The chips were nothing special either. The taco meat had no spice/seasonings whatsoever, very bland with no pop. The shell was homemade( I think) but again it did nothing for me, no corn flavor and very greasy taste to it. So now I am left with my poblano. Turns out here I get the trifecta and once again disappointing. It was a soggy limp mess with no flavor. I know a lot of people may not agree with my review but I am extremely picky with my Mexican restaurants. I have certain flavors I look for and this place has failed, not once but three times and now I am done with them. I think in this area I have much better options in Mexican fare, try habenero s or San joses but stay far away from Garibaldis

The exterior and interior decor is attractive, but the food is terribly bland IF the diner is accustomed to the meal being accompanied by jalapeno pepper. I dined at Garibaldi twice; once for supper and then again for a lunch with two different people. All three of us agreed that there must be better Mexican food in the Orlando area. One of the lunch mates swears that the chili sauce on the enchiladas was actually tomato based, but I disagree because I think the red sauce is chili based because I ate it with a beef enchilada and then a chicken-filled tamale. The sauce seemed like chili to me, guaranteed, but the meat inside the enchilada was plain and flavorless. The mole over burritos was genuine, but again, the burrito filling was uninteresting. Pico di gallo was missing the punch severely for me so I would advise against it. The chicken soup was so-so, also not much flavor. The worst of my dishes were the beef fajitas because I felt like it was Chinese stir fry, and the fajita texture was smothered as if the fajitas had been sitting for a while waiting to be eaten. Again, like the other meal components, the fajitas did not taste like Mexican food to me. The worst aspect of the two visits to Garibaldi was the table service--on the dinner visit the table server was rude, never smiled, didnt speak up, and seemed like he had a grudge against us; bad experience. On the lunch visit a different table server was nice than the first, but he hardly visited our table outside in front. And even getting to our table to ask about drinks and first order took a while and for lunch the place wasnt busy. The one potential redeemer to these two visits was the chips and salsa; chips and salsa is very good, but didnt save the situation entirely.

A waiter who wasnt even our waiter came up to our table very rudely about a drink order. At first I thought it was a joke. Ive been to this restaurant so many times and I will never set foot their again. They ruined our night and lost weekly customers. On top of that, our own waiter was horrible. She spoke to us very rudely as if she didnt care to be working there. We go there almost every week and felt so disrespected tonight. In addition to everything else, a man was making a scene by cursing and vomiting right by the entrance to the restaurant and none of the workers confronted him or asked him to leave. Guests were disgusted when leaving and entering the restaurant because of the vomit. Our service was so horrible we will never go there again.

After reading the reviews I was expecting a nice family meal but did not receive that. Ordered the lunch supreme nachos at 1pm. What came out was very disappointing. I had potatoes, carrots mixed in as apparent extras and zero cheese. Had to ask for cheese to be brought out. The jalopinos that were to be on the side never arrived. I had to ask for more silverwear since only three sets were brought out origionally before orders were made for 4 people. They then only brought 2 plates and had to be asked for more. Water never arrived to the table and the check was charged the dinner prices. Was told the kitchen staff would be talked to, that was it. Needless to say, our first experience was not a good one.

We have a sleeper here! Located in a small pocket in a shopping plaza. This is the best Mexican Food that you can find in the Southeast United States. Service is decent but not excellent. Oh well, most restaurants that serve great food lack service. The food is perfect. Makes Tijuana flats taste like a Microwave dinner! Im not trying to be funny. Order the Lava Rock and you will be in for a treat. They are not playing around when it comes to drinks. Their Margaritas are the real deal, looks like a gold fish bowl. Beer is perfectly cold the way you want it to be. Restaurant is clean and beautiful inside. Its a must place to go to eat Mexican.

Anyone who doesnt give this restaurant and SERVICE 5 stars is out of their mind! I have been going to this restaurant for over 10 years now. Salsa, Service and Food have been consistent and delicious every single time Ive been here. We dont eat out often, so when we go, it has to be special. To give you an idea of how great this place is... We go every Friday night for great food and service by ANGELA! And did I mention how AWESOME their food is? Well, it is! Hands down the most delicious food in APOPKA!! And AFFORDABLE, too! Thank you ANGELA, for always making our time and meal at Garibaldis FABULOUS! xoxo

It was a good place to eat. Food wasnt too expensive but I was a little annoyed by the fact that we werent seated right away even though there was MORE than enough open tables to seat people. The excuse we were given was they were short handed in the kitchen and were sitting people in 10 min intervals. We sat there for over 20 mins in the heat waiting for a table. I would have rather preferred to have sat down and been able to enjoy my company in the a.c. and just wait a little longer for my good to come out. Ultimately, I would go there again though.
