If I could cover myself in guacamole and live inside their burrito tortilla, I would die a happy lady. My friends, as a Californian with access to delicious Mexican treats, I have to say that Sol satisfied my beans/rice/guac/salsa needs. Its relatively inexpensive for food, and subscribes to the average DC price for margaritas (although the many flavorings of margaritas must be tried. I wouldnt recommend the Passion...no bueno). Try the food truck too! Everything is made in a split second, even though the truck is microscopic. Theyre clearly employing the same Mary Poppins magic of pulling goodies out of a bag. Eat and drink up!

The food was so so and the service was horrible. I had to wait 10 minutes for the person behind the counter to finish her personal conversation before I could place the order. READ YOUR RECEIPTS CAREFULLY!! they tried to over charge me for my food and double charge for the beers and the staff got angry when I asked them about the error until I showed them and then still were unprofessional. I wont recommend anyone going their if you want good food and service. I wish negative or no stars would be offered because thats what I would give them.

The bottom portion of this place is pretty good; its like a Chipotle in how they make your food. TIP: get a quesadilla and then load it up with all the stuff youd normally put on a burrito. The upstairs portion of the place has good food but has been historically slow and inattentive service. Ive had to wait almost an hour before for a to go order. Another time I waited 30 min for a check that never came and had to go looking for someone to pay. Its a real shame cause the food is good. Downstairs is like a 4-5, upstairs is like a 3.

Great, affordable tacos - we are regulars for Taco Tuesday - always very fresh and good range of meats and toppings. Good margaritas too. I have to echo some of the other reviews, the service leaves quite a bit to be desired. Super slow (hint: finish one order before you start the next one, I was watching..) even though they seemed to have staffed up a little better. Ill eat here again, we live too close not to, but I always have to prepare myself for the wait and confusion at the counter.

We ate upstairs with the full menu on a Sunday that was not busy. The worst food Ive had in DC in some time. I ordered the brisket tacos and the brisket was extremely dry and flavorless. The service was horrible--slow and she forgot half of the tables order after originally repeating it back to us when we placed the order. The server had cuts on her hands and when we suggested she put a bandage on, she said okay, but didnt. We will not be back here again.

This place is AMAZING!! Nice and chill but the music is what makes it. The bartender Mery gave us a lot of helpful tips on the best tequila and showed us how she makes SOL s house margaritas from scratch using fresh lime juice (no margarita mix what so ever). She made our experience great. There are two floors. Downstairs is the fast food joint but upstairs is where the magic happens. Tell Mery Jeff sent you..lol

We ate here after a trip to the National Arboretum. We were hungry and thirsty and ready for a chill place. We found it at Sol. The staff was friendly right away as we arrived. I ordered the fish tacos and watched as they battered and then fried the fish right then. The tacos were fresh and delicious. We also ordered the vegetarian tacos and those got eaten very quickly. Well be back!

Me and fancy went there Friday to get some food. So I ordered extra chicken with yellow rice, black beans, lettece, tomatoes, cheese, hot sauce, second order extra steak with yellow rice, black beans, lettece, tomatoes, Chipotle Sauce, I love there food, We will go back get more food and Nachos with extra Chicken. Great Food.

As a food truck, this place has game. As a restaurant, it does not. Why go here when you can get better food at Chipotle. We thought the upstairs would be fun and, at first, it looks cool with their wood deck and lights, but the food isnt that good and the servers act like they are high.

Good: Decent tacos. BAD: they say it stays open until 10pm, but that may not always be the case. On 9/7 & 8 they closed an hour and a half early for "cleaning". UGLY: I live in NWDC and drove 20mins only to arrive and find out they were closed. No longer worth my time.

Went on taco tuesday, $2 tacos. Decently authentic, better than Chipotle. About on par with prices but served similarly. The server was useless though, mishearing and not listening to me at all, and forgetting to put my side order of guacamole in my to-go bag.

Downstairs they have a great Chipotle style fast casual burrito and taco counter that is incredible, easily one of my favorite quick bites on H st. Upstairs is a down to earth cantina if you wanna chill, margaritas are good and authentic.

Best spot on H Street for quality food thats super cheap. Taco Tuesday is great, $2 dollar tacos! and everything is made in house from scratch. Anytime i can get three steak tacos prepared how I want for under $10 bucks is a good thing.

Food quality has gone way down. Chips were stale, even after asking for them to be replaced. Beef in fajitas was overcooked. Mole sauce on burrito was much less than last time.

Best street tacos in DC! I got me at lunch time. It gets lively in the upstairs area on weekend nights - dancing or singing guests, it happens. Good value in the area.
