I hated this Johnny rockets when I went there for my DC field trip my friends and I went there we walked in and the whole place was unsanitary and the waiters didnt do anything about it and then the manager who was taking orders and he was always very pushy to the customers and telling them to hurry up and pick the order they want then the person who was pouring the soda he was an idiot I specificly a normal Pepsi and he gave me a diet pepsi. Along with my other friends he gave them the opposite of what they wanted for a drink. And after that we sat at a very sticky table and waited for our food, and the manager started to scream at me and my friends for taking up one table when we ordered for to go and they still gave me the wrong order I wanted my burger plain but they put every little thing on it and then we left and hated it never go to this place its horrible

The wait staff looked bored and didnt try to be friendly or talkative, just handed me a menu amd came back when I was ready to order. Everything was super expencive, even for DC. The burger was dry and the shake was just average. I sat at the bar so I dont know how the service was if you werent sitting right in front of them. Reminded me of steak and shake back home only worse food and unfriendly staff. The decor is its only redeeming factor was the decor. Is had a nice old fashion feel that was geared towards kids and adults alike. The shake also came in this cute little mug which was a plus. Unless you really like the decor of the place skip it amd head to shake shack instead.

Visiting from Texas had better experience back at home. Seated are self like the sign said. No one came to the table to greet us alot of people cleaning other tables or just standing around. Then when this african American lady or could of been east african with dreads came to are finally table. It wasnt to greet us or take are order but tell us that the food we bought are 1 year old son wasnt allowed in the restaurant. At that point my wife was mad and I was just going to take are food to go. But no one ever came back around again. Except one one might of been the Manger but we just left at that point went to shake shake instead. Which I never had and it was great

For those who like their fast food with a heavy dose of nostalgia and a dancing waiter or two, there is Johnny Rockets. Their menu is surprisingly diverse - reminiscent of an IHOP - but its the burgers, shakes, and fries that most people order. Their grill cooks have to go through special training in the proper way to cook a Johnny Rockets burger, but that still doesnt make them something to write home about. Lets be honest, you dont go here for the food, you go for the kitschy 50s feel and maltshop atmosphere. And THAT is what JR has in spades.

I stopped in to Johnny Rockets while I was at Union Station as nothing else really appealed to me. All I can say is, what a HAPPY place! I was immediately greeted by a waiter, Sollan. He was extremely friendly. A young lady, Lidya, kept checking on me, and the manager, Altaf was wonderful! I love the upbeat atmosphere and music. Normally, I would not have stopped in because I think of it as a burger joint, but I was able to find something on the menu that I can eat. Recommending Johnny Rockets to all!

I had read some of the mediocre reviews about this place regarding the service and food quality, but needless to say I wanted to try it out for myself. We went on a Friday at around 5pm, and had no problems whatsoever. The place was nearly full, and the service was good. I dont know how anyone would consider their food to be sub-par, because my bacon cheddar hamburger was fresh and delicious. This is a great restaurant to go to before heading-out to the movies! I enjoyed it thoroughly.

The waiter here was obnoxious, demanding and rude. He has to be the owners family because I cant imagine anyone this disrespectful holding a job anywhere with such an attitude. Management appologized for his behavior but I dont go where I feel threatened. That said, Johnny Rocket has seen my family and friends for the last time. Taco Bell across the food court was GREAT, less expensive and much friendlier.

Prices are high, but staff was very attentive and gracious. Fast service though I asked for extra crispy bacon and got the bacon from the same pile of precooked bacon that they had. I know its terrible in the station they want to get you in and out, but I can wait for fresh quality breakfast; I was in no rush. In comparison to the other restaurants in the station, Johnny Rockets is a 10!

we tried carry out and the lady *cough cough rachel* barely spoke english and we never received fries. the lady working at the counter *cough cough once again rachel* would not listen to our questions and yelled at us. we were yelled at for sitting in chairs while waiting for our food even though nobody was there and we had to stand right by the chairs anyways. 0/10 recommend.

Fries and Drink do not come with purchase of Burger, causing the bill to be much higher than I thought. Terrible waitress barely spoke English and couldnt even refill my drinks. Tip was included in the bill, so I couldnt back out of it despite the service. Between four people, the bill was Fifty dollars. I know its D.C., but its Johnny Rockets, a stupid burger joint.

I have read all of the negative reviews, I dont know if it was different management or not but I had a very good experience here. The omelette was fresh made, and tasty.. The service was comparable to other restaurants that are at a busy train station.. and for the amount of food I received the price was good... we will be eating here again

The service was so bad I wonder if the staff actually have their heads back in the 50s. The server literally threw my burger at me. The line stretched out the door into the mall, the unorganized staff took forever and were not friendly, It doesnt seem very 50s when the people there dont even speak english. DO NOT EAT THERE

Ive been here quite a few times on different occasions, and Ive had a fairly consistent experience. Its usually pretty busy, and the wait time is a little long, but the food is comforting after a long day on the mall. It tastes good, and has a fun atmosphere in the restaurant.

Dont go to this place save your money this is the worst place ever thank you. They make you wait like a whole hour for your food and its horrible, the fries are tasteless and the napkins are so small and these people are so mean. Go to McDonalds is better.
