Just had their Thanksgiving dinner last evening. I have to say, the food was very good. However, the experience was less than desirable. I placed an order over the phone, never received an itemized receipt and showed up only to find some confusion about my order. Also, when I arrived for pickup, the food wasnt ready, so I had to wait. Finally, when I got home, I found items missing, which was my fault for not checking before I left. Overall, the food was good, but the me was what I would consider to be very pricey for the portions received. It was good for this year, but doubt I would return for the same price and mismanaged order.

If you have $14.30 to spend on a medium sized sandwich then by all means its AMAZING. Some of the best cured meats youll get anywhere. Also can white people please stop putting kimchi on bahn mi. Kimchi is korean bahn mi is vietnamese. Youll get a better bahn mi for $5.00 at a vietnamese place I went theyre once and got the Italian which was great but prob wont come back. Andys a block away gets you a burger for $3.50. Just too expensive for what you get in my mind. Three and a half stars.

This place belongs in Brooklyn, and I mean that as a compliment. All the things youd expect - bacon, salumi, sausages - at the highest quality, lovingly crafted and delicious. And then theres the unexpected, like the sobrasada to which they introduced me and I am now addicted. Their BBQ sandwich - on a jalapeno-cheddar bun no less - is the best Ive ever had. I hope this place becomes a DC and Petworth institution. They - and the city - deserve it.

It was the most amazing banh mi Ive ever had. The flavors of the grilled pork mixed with the creamy pate, the vinegary picked carrots, and the spicy and crispy kimchi is an experience. I washed it down with their homemade soda. My friend ordered the pastrami and said it was the best hes ever had. We talked about those sandwiches for the next two days. If Im ever in the area again Im definitely going back.

Look forward to giving this place another chance. I wasnt too thrilled with the meatball sandwich. My friend did have the pastrami and raved about it. I recommend calling ahead because it takes a bit for them to make the sandwich.

I thoroughly enjoyed the BBQ brisket! Its such an unexpected little spot. Seating is not plentiful so you might be taking a cozy seat around the wooden, what looks like a barn door, table. The staff was very friendly and helpful!

This is my favorite sandwich place in DC. It is worth visiting whether you live in the Petworth/Brightwood area or elsewhere. And the staff is really friendly, which makes visiting there even better,

The pulled pork sandwich was by far the best Ive ever had. The jalepeno cheddar cheese brioche bun, creamy slaw, succulent sheds of tangy-slightly-spicy pork deliciousness... It was perfection.
