UPDATE: A customer service rep and the manager both apologized for our experience. A little customer service goes a long way, so I appreciate that they took the time to do that. I came here for a friends birthday and boy was the service awful. There were over 20 people in the group so we had two long booths and two adjoining tables. The table I sat at decided to order calamari as an appetizer, a large plate of spaghetti and meatballs and a side of broccoli among 5-6 people. This was around 7:45pm. About ten minutes later, our order of calamari came. We finished this relatively quickly and then the waiter brought a bread basket. FAST FORWARD AN HOUR LATER and our entree still hadnt come! During this time, we asked the waiter twice about our entree and he kept reassuring us that it was cooking and would be ready soon. In the meantime, no water refills. It was dreadfully hot and stuffy in the restaurant and since we didnt have appetizers and just bread to munch on, we were all very thirsty. BUT NOPE, the waiter didnt come around to refill our waters either. Finally, one member of our party had had enough and flagged down the waiter a third time around 8:30 to ask again about the food. The waiter said that our entree of spaghetti and meatballs didnt come out because he thought we all wanted our entrees out at the same time and the other half of our table had ordered salad. We were all like WTF NO, bring the food out, were starving! Still, even 30 minutes later, the food hadnt arrived. It wasnt until 9pm that the manager came around with our bowl of spaghetti and meatballs and apologized for the inconvenience and said hell see what he could do about discounting some of the meal. We waited AN HOUR AND 15 MINUTES for ONE bowl of spaghetti and meatballs. In the end, the manager comped our entree of spaghetti and meatballs, thank goodness because none of us were exactly fighting over the bill to pay for that mess. Everyone was highly displeased with how awful the service was. Our waiter didnt even really apologize AND he forgot to put in our side order of broccoli. Seriously, how long does it take them to make spaghetti and meatballs? Its not a dish that takes a restaurant to make for an hour and if it was, the taste sure didnt prove it. The food was meh. We also ordered a second plate of seafood linguini during our waiting time and that dish was completely watered down and tasteless. The spaghetti and meatballs were just alright, nothing spectacular at all. It is definitely not something worth paying $34. If you want shareable Italian dishes, GO TO CARMINES. Pasta dishes here are bland, bland, bland. The meatball tasted off too. Also, who gives a large spoon to cut a cake? And where was the birthday girls birthday brownie they supposedly give? UGH the whole experience was just one big half-baked turd.

Went here with my girlfriend during our trip to DC. We were very excited, as we had heard good stories about Buca. Our starter, stuffed mushroomso, was real good. After that it went pretty much downhill. We ordered chicken saltimboca with garlic mashed potatoes. Instead of the mashed potatoes, we got rosemary roasted potatoes. Our waiter said hed take care of it and then made us wait for half an hour. We both ate a piece of chicken in the meantime but left the last piece to eat with the mashed potatoes. When they got to us, they were ice cold - hadnt been heated. Not like they had cooled off, but had just come from the fridge. We were done by that point and wanted the check - which took another 15 minutes of waiting while Mike (our waiter) stacked glasses behind the bar and wiped the counter - because that was clearly his priority... he did remove the potatoes charge from the bill, but nothing else. He seemed almost angry that we were dissatisfied with the food and his service completely disappeared from that point on.

Ive only eaten here twice. The first time, even having reservations, we were kept waiting to be seated for 45min. The waiting area is extremely small and we had a group of 13. When we were finally seated, the ENTIRE restaurant was empty but for us... they had been turning people away at the door, kept us waiting for 45min, and there was no-one there.. literally completely empty. Due to the size of our group, they provided us with 2 waiters. Unfortunately, one of them did not speak English well and it must have also been his first night there- he was not familiar with the menu at all. I pointed at the bottled sparkling water I wanted on the menu and he diligently wrote out the entire name on his notepad- then returned with tap water in a glass. The drink orders were all wrong, as were some of the food orders (specifically the salads). I really had hoped for much more, and perhaps it was just an off night for them, but I think 2 tries is enough.

We went to dinner at 8:30 PM on a Friday night and were seated within 10 minutes. The booth table was.fine but the bench cover was badly torn. We received our drinks quickly and placed our order for appetizers and entrees soon after. Calamari and cheese sticks arrived within a reasonable amount of time and were just average in taste. Entrees took a little longer. Caesar salad with chicken first. The Romain lettuce was somewhat wilted and some of the chicken was highly peppered which I did not expect nor like. My children liked the baked ziti, the meatballs were just ok and my husband liked the pepperoni pizza but it was very small, supposed to feed 2 to 3 people. The waiter was nice but always in a big hurry. I gave the restaurant 2 stars because the food was over priced, seating poor and the food not good enough to make me return.

The worse dining experience Ive ever in my life! We were a group of 10 people with a reservation. Server took so long to came to our table that by the time he came to take the drink orders, we were ready for the food order. After that, he disappeared! We had to ask another server to help us. We just had 1 glass of water, nobody never minded to came and refill our water. We had to request to this 2nd server to take over, because again, the guy dissapeared! We got there at 7:30 pm and left at 11:30pm! It was forever to get drinks, food, desert, check... when we refused to tip the first server, they said that would get the manager and of course the manager never showed up, never apologized! Will never go back there... food wasnt bad, but the lack of management and employee training is huge! Wont recommend to anyone!

Horrible experience and service!!! My family will never dine here ever again!! 1st off the place was empty that shouldve been a red flag, but since we have visited other locations in the past "Orland Park Illinois and at the Apple Blossom mall" we figured it would be just as great!! That was not the case at all!! Our appetizers came out 2 minutes before the food! Our waitress I believe was also working the bar since she spent the whole time at the bar talking about her personal life and school. She never came to check on us to make sure we were ok or needed anything. A supervisor was repremanding an employee for being late fifteen feet from our table very unprofessional! The food was blah the whole experience was totally not worth the drive or the $170 we spent. Dont Waste Your Time Or Money!!!!
