Good home-made food, especially for breakfast. However, when inquired about oatmeal, it comes out of a packet. Oatmeal is cheap and easy to keep and make in a crockpot. I would recommend that they do that. The breakfast burrito with swiss and basil was excellent; fresh, and hot with the cheese melted throughout. Fresh garden veggies on top. A short coffee in a mug looks like more and served in a euro-style ceramic cup than the paper cup, so I was happy with that. The hash browns were very good but had the artificial aftertaste of margarine, so I would change that to regular canola oil or even olive oil would make it stand out without the aftertaste. The turkey sausage patties were an excellent brand. There are not enough places to sit without sharing. Two women were holding seats with their coats and one couple with a baby and a toddler took up a table for 6, by spreading their gear everywhere! We ended up sitting with a very cordial senior couple. So, we ended up making some new friends. Also, our small order took 20 mins. to make;that did not include the drinks order. Browns, sausage, and eggs should be ready to go on the griddle. The baristas were very quick with coffee and juice though. I would highly recommend Perfect Cup, since a decent non-chain restaurant/café is very difficult to find in Delaware. Their price points are really doable for anyone. However, just be prepared to wait (I have been other days and times not busy and still slow) and to share a table on the weekends with new folks!

Not sure why anyone would bother coming here. If you ask any questions about where their food comes from, youll be sorely disappointed. Their "house baked" muffins are just packaged pre-mixed batter squeezed in a pan. Their hummus comes from a jar. Their roast beef comes pre-cooked, pre-sliced. Even their turkey, which they brag about roasting themselves, just comes as a pre-seasoned, plastic wrapped block that they just toss in an oven. Make no mistake, nothing you eat here is even close to being cooked from scratch. When I spend my hard earned money on a restaurant, I expect a little more than dumping premade food out of a box. Also, celiacs beware. If you order anything gluten free from their menu, its probably contaminated. They cook their gluten free pancakes on the same surface as everything else without sanitizing and even stack them right next to wheat pancakes and bread. Thats just lazy and shows a lack of respect for their customers food safety. Another warning sign is the smell. The whole place smells like a dirty grease trap. Definitely not what I imagine when I walk into a cafe. I expect smells of coffee and fresh baked pastries, and instead its burnt oil and smoke. Had breakfast here and still had the smell in my hair and clothes when I went home in the afternoon. Another sign of laziness. If they cant be bothered to keep the clean their greasy cooktops, think about how dirty the food is. Be warned. Spend your money at a better establishment.

We have been going to The Cup for over 10 years. It was terrific under the previous owner, and now it is, surprisingly, even better with the new owner. Other(s?) commented negatively on the owner being a micromanager and being hard on employees, but ZI think that is in part responsible for the consistently high quality. For breakfast the omelets, breakfast burritos, and country breakfast (two eggs your way, sausage, bacon, delicious thick cut toast -sourdough, rye) are delicious. Their hash browns are the best around. Lots of filling choices for the omelets, which are stuffed full and cooked properly. For lunch, they make a grilled reuben that is (no pun intended) perfect. The right proportions, toasty but not greasy, tangy, cheese melted properly...just delicious. Im almost hesitant to write in such glowing terms because selfishly I dont want a ton of people competing for table space, but the owner deserves kudos.

Every single time I go in here the "chef" is yelling at one of her workers. Every. Single. Time. She particularly picks on this one kid who is, I think, a cook. She just stands there and berates him in front of the staff and the kid suffers through it like a sad puppy saying "Yes chef. Im sorry chef." Food is ok, coffee is alright I guess, but I just cant support someone who is that vile to another human being in front of other human beings. I *want* this to be my cozy little coffee shop, where Im a regular and everyone is cool to talk with. Instead, I have to worry about my order contributing to someone making a mistake and having to sit there and watch this "chef" rip into someone who probably desperately needs that paycheck. Take an anger management class or, for the love of the community, sell your role in the company and let someone with a heart run the place.

Like I said on my blog THE WINE SISTERS BOOK CLUB , I have a love-hate relationship with this place. I love it because its where I see friends and neighors, but I hate it because the food prep is awful and my clothes smell after I leave there. There is no venting and so the food smell permeates the place. Do NOT get the breakfast burrito-- they dont know how to make one unless youre just willing to accept scrambled eggs inside a soft taco shell as a burrito.

Out of all the fast/casual establishments I know, Perfect Cup is my absolute favorite. Everything is from the freshest ingredients and they support local farmers/growers by purchasing produce from local farms and coffee is fairly traded so you know you are getting the best possible all while supporting small, local companies around the DE/PA area! I currently live far away and havent been "home" in a while, but on a regular basis I crave their cooking!

Last week my friend went in for her normal iced latte and we are regulars we go in all the time! But "chef" was yelling at her workers who didnt write on a cup correctly and started slamming things around and yelling. While she was slamming a plaque fell off the wall and cut my friends cut open!!! no one apologized! no one even noticed! My friend had to walk out of there while her ankle gushing blood.

The food is usually good but very heavy on butter. Its usually smokey inside from all the Burnt butter. My eyes burn by the time I leave. Overall decent food. The poor servers always look like they are the verge of a nervousness breakdown because the owner/cook is an Ill tempered micromanager who is constantly telling them they are doing everything wrong

This place is just perfect. The best about it - it stays the same over the years. Youll never be dissapointed! Ive tried everything there and I believe chef is a wizard, because how can it all be fantastic every single time? Service is great too. And coffe! So good! Stay the same, Perfect Cup!

I love visiting The Perfect Cup. Its a very community oriented cafe that serves excellent coffee and food in a very relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere. Ive never had any problem with the food, the drink, or the service at this locale, and I would definitely consider it a favorite.

Great place, this was my first visit. Theres a ton of stuff on their menu so Ill have to come back to try more things. The iced mocha I got was excellent and the bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich I got there was tasty as well. Will definitely be going back.
