The foods good, although the celery on the hummus tray yesterday was anything but fresh. The hummus could have done with a bit less garlic. And it seems odd that the only bun they offer, for all sorts of fillings, is a sweet and flimsy brioche. The presentation is poor -- the plates yesterday were overfull, making it impossible not to knock food onto the table -- very unappetizing. The place is very noisy because nothing has been done to absorb sound in this converted bank building; at lunch yesterday, the place was half full but my partner and I barely could carry on a conversation. In the narrow room in the back, the AC/heat registers are directly under the tables; if I had not had a large purse to block the AC, I would have been very uncomfortable, as I have been on two previous visits. The wait staff leave much to be desired; our waitress yesterday first forgot what we ordered to drink (in 30 seconds time?!), then just kind of walked off after we ordered an appetizer and asked her to come back in a minute for the rest of the order -- we had no idea whether she registered the appetizer order, given that she already had forgotten the drinks. It took her a full 15 minutes to return for the rest of the order; neither of us is THAT indecisive! And, no, it was not that busy. Will we go back? No. This is the third time service and the noise/temperature were not at all up to par. Other alternatives in the area provide a better overall experience.

Completely disappointed with our first expirience here tonight. We made reservations yesterday for dinner @ 5 today for 5 guests...Our server was amazing and the food was great...have to say i was really impressed with atmosphere....UNTIL we had been there apparently 30 minutes longer than your dinner is suppose to last. Yes you heard me right. We were asked to leave because we hand been there more than 2 hrs. Granite maybe most people dont take that long but we were meeting up with good friends and enjoy visiting. Also have to say the tab (tip included) (BYOB remember) was $250.00 wasnt even out of line until we were told there is a time limit on our table and we needed to leave. I was even fixing to order some dessert but oh well....went some where else for that. All I can say is if youre gonna have a time limit set for your tables you might want to let the people know when they make thier reservations to avoid the rude shock at the end of your nice dinner and evening with your friends!

Great service! Kim was not intrusive but attentive. (Kim, you could work at the best Paris restaurants.) She deserves a 10 out of 5. The food was disappointing but with high points. Really good oysters. On the other hand, a steak at $25 should be marbled and not tough when medium rare. Who is your buyer? Get the good stuff at Giant. Trout should be seared on the skin side until brown and the meat should not be dry. On the other hand, the fish was fresh. My hunch is that it was put in a pan and then broiled. Wrong! On the burners. Will I be back? Absolutely! There is always hope. (P.S. We were there at 5:00. No rush was on.)

We ate at Twelves last week. The food was good but a little pricey. For 2 our bill with tip was $110. Remember this is a BYOB. For appetizers I had the mushroom soup which was outstanding and my wife had the oysters which were OK. For our main course my wife had the crab cake which was OK and I had the crab macaroni which was OK. We split the lava cake which was OK. Overall, nothing great, nothing awful but just OK. In our opinion, for what we paid, there are other restaurants in the area that we would prefer to go to.

Went to lunch with a friend. I had the veggie panini which had an awful mix of veggies, soggy tomato, asparagus spears and way too many small mushrooms. No harmony among them, really. Where is the eggplant, zucchini and roasted pepper? The home made chips were good. My friend had the crab cake. Hardly would qualify as a cake, more of a crumb. It should have at least been a 5 ounce cake. Im certain it was barely 3 ounces, looked like an appetizer! Things were tasty but the crab cake was definitely overpriced.

Dont listen to bad reviews on this place. 3rd time I have been there and each time was great. Last night however I had the Grilled Pocono Trout, telling you how fresh and how delicious this meal was wont do it justice. Im realizing the chef is a master at sauces, the flavors are incredible. We are foodies and dine out frequently in the De.Md. Pa. area and 12s is one of our favorites. My wife is a crab cake lover and she rates theirs one of the best also. Try it you will like it.

My medium rare burger was over cooked and dry; fries were soggy. The shepherds pie was watery with little lamb. The soft shell crab was small with only one claw. The tile fish was over seasoned. The fried oyster appetizer and the mushroom soup were good, but not good enough to save the meal. Im in no hurry to go back...not worth the time or money. Too bad the kitchen let the wait staff down...service was attentive and cheerful.

50/50. Wife and I on a friday night. Mushroom fries A+ served with a spicey dipping sauce. Mushroom soup, nothing special, topped with a measly amount of crab. Might as well leave it off. Entree I had the salmon with lentils and broccoli rabe. Great, except the broccoli rabe was real chewy. Wifes pasta was real watery and she did not care for it at all. Dessert, A+ homemade icecream and choc bomb. Little pricey considering.

I have eaten at Twelves many times & find that the food is extremely fresh & well prepared, the staff is well trained & attentive. The prices are appropriate for a restaurant that serves a substantial amount of locally sourced ingredients.

Twelves has the very freshest food and creative dishes. LOVE the fried Oysters and get that every time. Soups could sometimes use more seasoning. Their burger and fries are the best in Southern Chester County!

Excellent variety of locally grown food in a unique setting. The building used to be a bank. The service was very nice and considerate.

Food and service was amazing. Well worth the drive. Short Ribs with risotto cakes and asparagus was the best I have ever had.
