Sadly I cannot award less than one star! Used to be our favorite Chinese food. Buisness must have changed hands because last night it was the worst food Ive ever had! Decor slightly changed in the resturaunt and the attentiveness of the staff has also changed. I was left standing seemingly alone at the counter for 10 minutes, after my food was supposed to be ready, while three staff members awkwardly peeked at me from behind the curtain to the kitchen (super awkward). My food came to me in a grease soaked bag. The food lacked flavor and texture. The noodles were far over cooked. No flavoring was added to the fried rice or lo mein! Kids chicken fingers were hard and deformed. An order or mu shu pork ended up being chicken and came without all of its components. Overall a terrible experience!! We had to throw the entire food order into the trash as it was not palatable. We had cereal for dinner (which was delicious by the way). Do yourself a favor and take your buisness anywhere else.

I think hands down the best sushi you can find in Vernon. I havent tried much from of their Chinese section, though my coworkers swears by their orange beef lunch special with hot and sour soup and orders them to pick up 2~3 times every week. But my absolute favorite has to be the crispy scorpion rolls - no questions asked. I just love the combination of eel, salmon, avocado and cheese all mingling in my mouth in harmony, my mouth is watering up just thinking about it. My only gripes about Oriental Cafe is that whenever I go in for a quick bite at 4ish (admittedly this would be like late lunch or early dinner) I have to wait so long for orders to come out and its not like they are closed either. I guess some of it is my fault for ordering during the deadtime between lunch and dinner but still heres hoping service time during non-peak hours can be improved

Came here with my boyfriend because I was getting my oil changed and needed to kill sometime. When we got there I wasnt really hungry so he ordered a little more than what he wanted because he knew I would take some (obviously lol). The food was really good, when it came out it wasnt too hot and it wasnt cold, the host and the waiter were both nice and checked up on us just enough, it wasnt bothersome or anything. The atmosphere is very quiet and relaxing and perfect for lunch (the bento boxes are great). I would defiantly visit this place again!

My husband and I are big fans of Oriental Cafe! Not only is their chinese food delicious, (especially the lomein) but their sushi is great too! We especially like their spicy salmon rolls. Sushi tastes and looks fresh. I recommend the Yellowtail sushi. In addition, when we order take out, they always have our orders correct, even when we order special rolls. They also have the best Crab Rangoon that we have ever had... big pockets with a great crab filling! Only complaint is that they dont deliver!!!

Ive been coming here for about 3 years now and have Always had great service and great food. I highly recommend this place to everyone! And to the lady that gave it a one star for putting shrimp in the eggrolls.... Come in most egg rolls have that. If youre allergic to something you should know. Im allergic to carrots and they dont list that on salads but I know better to ask. ...

I enjoyed eating here. the decor was fitting to the mood and added a sense of ,for lack of a better word, mystery. the service was fast. drinks within 2 minutes of walking in food by the 10 minute in. the fried dumplings were excellent as was the egg roll. the pork lo mein was delicious.the chicken fingers were on par. overall it was a good lunch visit and I shall continue to eat here.

I used to absolutely love this place. In the last year the sushi has become questionable in quality. Also, I went into the bathroom recently and one of the kitchen staff had just been in there smoking weed. Im cool with the weed smoking .... maybe not in the 3x3 bathroom? Also the bathroom is freakishly dark. Who knows what may be lurking. Bring back the old OC

Excellent food in a great setting. Really hope they come up with delivery though, I would order delivery from them every day! But big parking space makes up for it most of the time. Also pork are like the hidden jewels of this restaurant, really flavorful and would recommend everyone to try them in some form.

Please specify on ALL of your menus (including on the internet) that your spring rolls and egg rolls both contain shrimp! Shellfish is a major allergen, and should ALWAYS be clearly labelled! I thought I tasted something in that egg roll, but had to learn from a Yelp user that it was shrimp!

The 2 owners are fantastic and make every customer feel like a regular. Hidden treasure in Vernon. Very small interior creates a great atmosphere. Great sushi at fair price. I enjoy eating here once every 2 weeks on average now and look forward to it.

The food tastes quite good and so that deserves a three stars but the take out service is quite annoying. We did not receive the complete order even though we paid for it. This has happened several times and for the price this is very frustrating.

Great Beef Negimaki. Super friendly staff. Entree comes with small salad and awesome ginger dressing. The Negimaki came out sizzling which was very cool. The place is very clean. Very quick kitchen. The ambiance is very nice.

Questionable looking exterior masks a gem of the area. GREAT food. Excellent service and a nicely priced menu. Dont let this books cover scare you off--youre in for a happy ending (not like that, get your mind out of the gutter).
