Ive been eating Zois pizza since around 1971 when the place first opened. I always thought it was good, but I didnt realize how good until I moved to the Philadelphia suburbs around 20 years ago. Its very hard to find any pizza down here that compares in any way with Zois, not to mention the famous New Haven establishments. There is some decent pizza around, but its all strangely flavorless when compared to something like Zois. This is great Greek-style pizza, and the flavor just explodes in your mouth. I always stop in when Im back visiting friends and relatives in Seymour. Maybe there is something in the water in Connecticut that makes for great pizza as the rumor says.

I have lived my adult adult life in New Jersey amidst the best pizza restaurants in the nation. And yes, we actually have mobsters and social clubs, so Italian food is the main stream cuisine. So here Im risking my life: Zois makes the best pizza I have ever eaten, without exception. Its to die from. Ask for the Zois Meat Lovers Special with fresh garlic, bacon and extra cheese. Then be prepared for a truly great experience. How good is it? I stop there every time just prior to leaving to New Jersey, pick up two loaded pies and then race down the Merritt Parkway home. I love this place!

All this chatter and confusion since my last review of Zois about three years ago. Italian Pizza, Greek Pizza, Polish Pizza, Korean Pizza...Its all pizza and Zois is the best in this Valley. Perfectly made, loaded with whatever toppings your little heart desires. Yes, the owner Jimmy is Greek. So I guess this makes it a Greek pizza. Its still the best damn pizza Ive ever eaten, and after three years of this stuff once or twice a month, it just gets better and better. I would marry Jimmy just for the pizza.

My girlfriend and I have recently moved to the area and wanted to give this place a try. We went there 1 time and that was too many!! Not only the service was horrible but food wasnt all that great either. Waitress never came to our table and ask if I needed a refill on my drink or even how the food was? It wasnt like the place was filled cause it was only our table and one other couple. I guess maybe we didnt have our noses up high enough? I wouldnt even given this place 1 star to rate!!

The staff was not displaying any type of consideration for the take out people. I personally ended up dropping my food on the floor, in the bag though. That all started from me asking the waitress if i could get a plastic bag because there was way too many items ordered. It was as if she wanted me to carry all the orders in my arms. No common sense basically

Unparalleled value and quality. Ive been here dozens of times, for almost everything on their menu, and theyve never let me down in the many years Ive been going here. Theyre open during sunny days and snowstorms alike, and the food and service is always stellar. This is the best pizza place in the area, in my opinion.

I think its ok, my wife likes it more, she is from the "Valley". I dont like my toppings under the cheese, just not brought up that way. Every time I make a pizza I put my toppings on top of the cheese. Thats just the way I like it, but its a very popular place and a lot of people dont mind it, so its probably just me.

We love Zois! Weve known the family a very long time. Their pizza has only gotten better over the years. Good service, good food, quiet, calming, family atmosphere, friendly staff. What more could you ask for?! Their desserts are to die for! Try the chocolate cake and chocolate moose!

A great place to grab a bite to eat if you like thicker greek style pizza with all the classic items you expect from a pizza place. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. Clean restaurant if you want to sit down for a meal. Highly recommended if you like thicker crust pizza.

I loved going here as a teenager, but I love it even more now since the remodel. It has a beautiful atmosphere, nice interior and great greek pizza. The pizza there is unique, it is not common to find! It is delicious. They also have amazing salads, and deserts.

Ive been going to this place for years. Family-owned and has a very simple menu. Their pizza and their calzones are great but, if you want a real treat order the meatball parmesan grinder! Be sure to grab a piece of baklava for dessert!

Excellent menu options, friendly staff, and its a cute little place. The parking lot is really small and is right on a busy intersection, so be careful. I ordered a small chicken ranch pizza and it was the best Ive ever had.

Best greek pizza around. Customer service is also top notch. Owner really involved with the community and remembers all the regulars, as do the waitresses. Great food with great service. Recommendation the bacon pizza!

Theres all the fuss about Wooster Street pizza and Roseland... I am not going to start measuring the thickness of the crust for comparison. I know this is good pizza, made with good ingredients and the service is great.

Great pizza! But not necessarily there most efficient eat in location, suggest take out. Little to no parking during peak operation hours, as seating can be very tight and limited. But the food is simple yet excellent!

Theres a reason Zois has been around for over 40 years...they make the best Greek style pizza in the Valley. Whole strips of bacon on a pie? Yep. This place has been a staple for my whole family for years.

Ive been going there since the 70s as a teen when it was Seymore Pizza Palace. They make a great bacon pizza! Full length strips across the pie. Yummy!

The best Greek style pizza in town. My family has been coming here since moving to a town nearby 31 years ago. High quality and consistent. Family owned.

The cheese calzones are made in advance and heated. The filling did not have time to melt resulting in a terrible calzone. Will not return.

Very good Greek pizza, good service, and my only complaint was too much cheese on the pie (yeah, I know, Im in a tiny minority there).

Take their pizza to go or eat right there, you will enjoy their pizza. They have a small parking lot to the right of the restaurant.
