Diamond in the rough! Can t figure out how we,ve missed this gem this past 3 years. Excellent food. The staff is really knowledgeable, enthusiastic and helpful about the dishes, ingredients and prep. Looks like a great menu. Most tender octopus I have ever had. The calamari salad was so light and crisp. My wifes pizza with Brussels sprout and potatoes sounded weird but was awesome. The crust was exquisite. My Cavatelli Bolognese was extraordinary. This chef knows how to combine unique and unusal ingredients that bring ordinary dishes to an extraordinary level. The cheesecake was yummy. Prices are reasonable but quality is high. Atmosphere is pleasant. Even the music choices were really good and not the usually h eadbanging crap thats so often ruins a peaceful , relaxing meal. Cant wait to try their meatballs.

If I could eat here every night, I would. We take all of our friends/family who visit from out of town to eat here and always make them try the meatball sampler. Weve done a meatball making class here and even spent last mothers day AND New Years Eve with them. Everything on the menu will blow your mind with flavor, and I mean everything. My boyfriend even was amused by the pleasurable sounds I was making when we last visited and I ate their winter squash pizza. SO. DAMN. DELICIOUS. They do half priced bottles of wine on Sundays, so thats when were usually there. But their cocktail and beer list is top notch as well. Lastly, I love that this is a family-run joint. Go!

The good - Food tastes good! The bad: 1. too hot in the restaurant - always -winter and summer because the pizza oven is behind the bar and a majority of tables are in the same area. 2. The wine is served too warm because of the warm temperature. 3. Service - getting your entree before you get your appetizer! 4. Way too expensive for what you get served - why do I walk away hungry? $18 for a whole order of cacio e pepe which would be considered half an order in other restaurants.

GREAT food, great drink menu, great atmosphere. The food was well-presented, the staff was very helpful, the service was wonderful, everything came out with great timing. Our party stayed pretty late and they didnt express any annoyance with us at all. (Loved the Brussels Sprouts and Sheep Cheese Gnocchi)! Highly recommend!!

Excellent beer selection here, surprisingly, and the food is better than Mario Batalis own creations. Pasquale does amazing meat balls, but the pizza coming out of their brick oven rivals pies you might eat in the likes of New Haven. Come for tapas or a full gourmet meal and youll be glad you did. Kudos.

Love Bar Sugo... Its our go to night out for dinner... Servers and bartenders are always great. Food is always knockout. Kale salad, brussel sprouts, crispy potatoes, the meatball sampler is spectacular. All the pizzas are made fresh right in front of you. You cant go wrong with anything at Sugo.

Amazing place with great, unique items! Get the meatball sampler and peppers the first time you go! Go for brunch and get the mystery brunch burger. Never a bad choice for unique Italian flair or more traditional Italian meals. Our favorite place in norwalk.

Amazing and the menu always keeps me coming back for more. Chef Pats meatballs and hand crafted pasta are a must but dont overlook the rest of the menu- each bite is delicious, the ambiance is relaxed, and the staff are always friendly and attentive.

The small plate options were decent. We really liked the Brussels sprouts. The pizza was disappointing. The dough was way too salty. It tasted like focaccia bread with sauce and mozzarella. It wasnt terrible, but I wouldnt recommend it as good pizza.

You must try the meatballs, liver toasts and signature drinks! The reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because of the lack of decent veggies on the menu... its definately meat heavy.
