There are very few things as unfortunate as having a place you use to enjoy go downhill. I recommend that if you want to enjoy a place with good service and decent attitude, DO NOT go here. Dont bother unless you want bad service and an even worse attitude from the Assistant General Manager. Specifically (1) The service has been slower and slower. When I mentioned anything about it, they appeared to just ignore it or not care. There is not as much regard to the customer service as they use to have. (2) We use to go for Sunday brunch but when we recently asked for a substitution, the Assistant General Manager got all snooty with my friends and I. This was never the case in the past. Wed just pay the little bit of upcharge and get on with it (without an attitude). Im not sure whats been changing but something has. Its just not the same type of place it use to be. (3) The music use to be at a volume level where it could be enjoyed but over the last few weeks its gotten loud and when my girlfriend and I said something or simply asked why it was so loud, we were told the general manager or asst gen. manager chose to put it that loud. No apparent regard for customers. Too bad. My wife and I use to love them but now have been disappointed a few too many times now :(

Ive been coming to Tisane regularly for food, drinks, and Karaoke for years. The food and cafe drinks are excellent, and the cocktail menu is the best Ive ever found. Service can be a little slow, but the staff is very friendly and happy to help. The decor is funky but tasteful and Thursday night karaoke is always a good time. A couple of notes: Tisane is not exclusively a gay bar, but it is very LGBT friendly and some of the clientele reflects that. Also, they host gay and lesbian night events occasionally and I have accidentally ended up at them before (lots of fun, by the way!), so check the event listings on their web site or Facebook if youre planning to go for a late dinner.

Afficionados of pop culture AND those with traditional values can all agree on this swinging hot spot. They have everything from a wide variety of new and interesting martini concoctions, beers to please any manly man and a variety of coffee and liqour varieties I have never found anyplace else! Prices are EXTREMELY reasonable (even moreso on Monday 1/2 price Martini Night!) You just cannot go wrong. Parking is a little tight, especially on the weekends but its certainly not impossible to get a space. There is also plenty of parking availble on the street. So, I really have nothing BAD to say about the place. Try it!

Totally unique and allows you to be the same .. teas, coffees, alcohol, food .. all with their own special twist .. Ive eaten things that I wont eat anywhere else and loved every bite .. if you cant find anything just ask; theyll do their best to satisfy you. For those of you who have seen dirt or things out of place, just say something; Ive never seen concerns ignored .. Its a busy place .. even their slow times are not slow. I dont live locally, but come whenever I get a chance. They are not cookie cutter and deserve all the praise they receive.

Wow. Some of these reviews surprise me. All the negativity, even anger. Where is that coming from? Ive always found Tisane to be a welcoming spot with great food and coffee. And drinks, if you like. A great place to go. In the warmer weather you can sit outside with friends and watch the traffic go by. In the winter, sit close to the fireplace. You can get something as simple as a coffee and read the paper, one of my favorite things to do. Or you can get yourself a tasty meal. Its my favorite place to go in the West End.

Place is kinda funky, kinda nice, kinda tucked away. just between downtown and the funky side of town and just before you get to the upper class parts, too. Kinda stuck in the middle. They may have a little hippie thing going on and they have music including an alternative night. Its not a bad place. Ive had a latte and their brownie sundaes. I dont think Ive ever gotten a meal out there. but not a bad place, not cheap, decent, probably close or more closely to resemble. Tablet voice recognition review

Great spot. Have been a fan, and a frequenter over my 15 years living in the area and have met wonderful people, eaten great food, and certainly had great drinks. Their soups are amazing, Im a huge fan of their vanilla chai, and one of my favorite dishes would be their steak frites. The atmosphere is young, varied, and youll likely end up striking up conversation with a truly interesting person, be it staff or a guest. Highly recommend!

Delicious brunch on Sundays, there arent a lot of veggie options but they have been happy to modify items for me when I asked. They have a great tea and liquor selection and its a cool atmosphere inside. The brunch does get busy so I usually try to get there right when it starts at 10am. the staff is always very knowledgable about the food and extremely friendly. I gave 4 stars only because I wish the menu was more vegetarian friendly.

these reviews surprise me. you dealing with 20 years old working hard to make a living. people are saying they squeeze tips out of you yes. why else be a waitress? if i was one id do the exact same thing. work hard, be nice, get you everything you need, in a attempt to earn an extra few dollars. if people dont want to give a tip thats fine. but dont hate on their hustle to earn a few. this is a community coffee house. help out alittle

Lots of interesting cocktails! You can also ask them to cut the sweetness if youre not too into that. Great service, the wait staff is always helpful and funny. The food is ok, its a little pricey for what it is but also serves as good drunk food if you get a little tipsy (which I often do here). Parking is pretty limited though.

I always have a very pleasant experience going here for food or drinks. On one occasion the French waiter was beyond helpful, knowledgeable, and overall some of the best service Ive experienced - and Im in the restaurant business. At other times service mightve been a little slow but they were busy and still very nice.

Really really good brunch. Really great prices and lots of choices. It does get busy but you can just grab a coffee while you wait for a table to open up. Good for larger groups. Great place for a mimosa on a Sunday morning. I havent been here for dinner in years but I remember it also being very good.
