Since I have moved to Glastonbury, I enjoy taking walks with my children to the fountain in the center of town. We usually step into the coffee shop for a latte and a treat for the children. However, I will never patronize this place again. First, they screwed up the order, which isnt a big deal at all. They made the latte iced instead of hot. I normally would have just taken the iced latte but it was kind of cold outside and was looking forward to a warm drink. They looked offended when I politely told them that i had ordered a hot latte, just as i do every day. Then they became rude. Even though i piad for a large double, the guy gives me a size small. When i tell him that I had paid for a large double, he didnt believe me, as if Im trying to get over on a few extra ounces of coffee. They were actually very rude and not accomidating at all, even when it was their own mistake. They should not be treating their customers like this, especially when their is a Starbucks only a few hundred feet away. Now, Im a regular at Starbucks and have met several people there who also had very bad experiences with rudeness at Daybreak. Starbucks is even cheaper, which is a plus. Normally, I like shopping locally where the money will stay in town. This is why I was originally willing to patronize Daybreak over Starbucks, even when the prices at Daybreak are much higher than just about everyone else. However, their rudeness and how they treat their customers is where I draw the line. Save yourself a headache and get your coffee from Starbucks across the street. These people at Daybreak either have their head in the sand, or they arent paying attention to how their employees are treating their customers.

Ive always seen this place and I thought that I would start my morning off with a great cup of coffee. I entered the establishment and was seen not only by the servers up front but also by a guy who appeared to be a manager of some sort and no one said "Hi" or even "Good morning". Despite my observation, I continued to the back of the store to order my coffee. I stood waiting to be served and waited and waited. Again...though the staff members were present completing their tasks, no one said "hi" or "be right with you". So I just waited and put a bigger smile on my face, you know, thinking it was just an off day. I then noticed a woman come in after me, she noticed I was there and so did the server. Guess who got served first? NOT MEE.... Anyway....while I will never be returning to this establishment, the coffee did smell great and I wish them all the success in the future!

I started going here because the coffee is AMAZING, and I kept coming back because the staff/service is beyond wonderful. You are always greeted with a warm "hello" and a friendly smile, and the staff takes the time to learn your name, answer your questions, and make suggestions. What I especially love about Daybreak is that they dont "go through the motions" when making your drink and they dont rush your order. They take their time and prepare your drink order with care. You leave there feeling special!

If youre a hardcore coffee drinker that cares about bean origins and roasts then this place is for you. Otherwise, stick to other faster options. I got an iced drink and it didnt even come with ice. Very weird. PRO: They have outdoor seating so its a nice place to enjoy the sun Coffee beans are very good CON: Food options were also very limited... Unless you want gourmet chocolates. The place is also fairly cramped. Coffee was expensive

This place is what the modern world is missing. With Dunkin Donuts on every street corner, its nice to see a small local shop like this that is still in operation. The variety of coffee is AMAZING! The atmosphere is nice and classic, the aromas of roasting coffee is phenomenal, and the staff are very friendly! I highly recommend stopping in to check this place out!

Ive been going to Daybreak for years, and their coffee is always fantastic! I usually buy beans that we grind at home for our morning coffee, but Ive been known to buy some tea and occasional chocolates too. Their pastries and coffee drinks are also quite good. Plus, their customer loyalty program is great, and the reward dollars add up quickly.

Ive been coming here for 8 years now. The coffee is not over roasted and bitter like the majority of coffee chains serve. They roast their own beans daily on site. I highly recommended. They also have good panini for lunch and Great wrapped and ready to purchase coffee gifts, and they have a rewards program for frequent visitors.

Great beans. I lived and worked in Glastonbury since Daybreak first opened 20 years ago, and always got my whole beans there. I moved a couple of years ago to Fairfield County, and couldnt find anywhere that has as fresh and flavorable .beans. So I get my beans from Daybreak through mail order now. The crumb cake is great too!

I love this place. Best small roaster I have ever been to. I order solely from here and i love that they will ship. Staff is friendly homely welcoming can speak intellectually on the coffees and roasting process. You can even watch the roasting taking place. Such a relaxing comfortable non rushed coffee house.

Daybreak roasts their fantastic blends of coffees fresh on location. The aroma hits you as soon as you enter the building. The staff is friendly and passionate about what they do. The shop is cozy and comfortable to sit down and enjoy a cuppa. Food is available too. Their breakfast panini are delicious.

Best coffee in the area..better than Starbucks and Peets. Huge variety of flavors for lattes which always makes me upset when I have to choose from 3. They have like 20. Amazing I will be back and I wont be going to Starbucks. Thanks to the owner for watching my dog for a second too. Very nice place..

I dont know whos working there Sundays but they were so rude. They literally ran us out so close to their closing time. I mean, yes youre closing, but you dont need to hover over us and usher us on. We were leaving. Come here to get treated like cattle. Never coming again.

The coffee is roasted very well and prepared in a variety of delicious forms. Great service, nice atmosphere, and always busy without feeling crowded. Baked goods are also great and the food options are also delicious.

Amazing local roasters! They have many different blends and varieties of coffee all made in house! Their baristas are fast and efficient and there espresso is very smooth. Definitely my favorite local coffee spot.

Have not found a coffee roaster locally that does a better job. Fresh roasted is the only way to go, or you can go to Starbucks where the coffee was roasted on the other side of the country months ago, yuk.

Best coffee bean source in the area. The only one around, that I know of, the roasts the beans right there in the shop. Also a healthy selection of premium tea leaves. Food is limited but pretty good.
