The food is always good, and their baked potato soup is good enough to dream about. As much as possible, they use something other than wheat flour to thicken the soups, so there are usually wheat-free choices (though not necessarily gluten-free, as all the food is prepared in the same place). I think their coffee is the best in town, and the deli section has some really good selections. If youre looking for a great lunch, this is it.

The Wheatmarket is a Chester institution. Simons and the other places in town are great, but Chester veterans know that Denniss chicken salad with grapes is the best in the world. So is the avacado sandwich the deep dish pizza and the baked potato soup. Top it off with a slice of 18 POUND apple pie and you will forever remember this cozy place!!!

This is a top notch place, the food is all fresh and made from scratch like the soups. We have been going there for almost 25 years. Extremely generous portions and you get great value for your money. Have had them cater social and family events never a disappointment and is full service if you wish.
