Although I cant attest to their Coffee (thought they do have lots of selections) or Breakfast sandwiches, I can say the bagels here are really, really good. Whats unique about Bagel Chalets bagels is theyre really dense and packed together and dont have much of a hole in the center so if youre planning on making your own sandwich with them, the toppings wont fall out which I like. The bagels themselves are great, moist, soft, and chewy on the inside, crunchy on the outside. Good selection of flavors, a little bummed out they have no Pumpkin flavor this year, but you can get your sweet fix with the French Toast or Cinnamon Raisin flavors. Ive gotten bagels from most of the best places in Northern, Central CT: Goldbergs and Lox Stock in W.Hartford, Isaacs in Bloomfield, Between Rounds in S.Windsor, Shefs Bagels in Chesire, Amis Hot Bagels in Waterbury, Bagel One in N.Windham and Bagel Chalet in Avon definitely ranks in the top #3. Like I said, they are definitely unique in the way they densely pack the bagels, almost resembling a ball but dont let that detract you from visiting this small Bagel shop. You can get 1/2 a dozen for a little over $6 and the people working the front counter are really nice and friendly.

The bagels here are Excellent. They have a crispy shell and a soft, smooth inside texture. Fresh from the oven every day, these are one of the best in CT! The cream cheese is delectable. Their prices are cheap for such amazing food! 3$ (winter 2011) for a bagel w/ cream cheese and a medium coffee, completely blowing the competition out of the water when it comes to price. I would choose them more often if they accepted credit cards for small purchases, but that would probably raise their prices. Charming personalities and delicious food. What better way to start your morning?!!

Everything seems freshly-made, service is fairly quick and is friendly. Theres a good selection of breakfast and lunch sandwiches here if you need something quick and on-the-go. You can also eat in if you want. I usually stop in with a group of hungry teenagers in the summertime, and theyre always very happy with what they have, and I enjoy being able to choose from a wide variety of breakfast options. You can also get a couple of unique cream cheeses here as well.
