I really enjoyed the design and atmosphere of this establishment. Being that it was my first time here, gentlemen behind the counter offered some great suggestions. While the food was served sloppy, it really did taste great. There were a few concerns. First, as I was waiting for about 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge me (as I was trying to get a re-fill on hot water for my tea). During this time, a young woman came out from the back and refilled here own coffee (didn’t acknowledge me or ask if I needed anything) and walked back to the kitchen. Then there was a woman at the pickup window who didn’t acknowledge me either. While she was making the coffee for the customer at the pickup window I saw her licking the syrup from her fingers, never washed her hands and handed the coffee off the the person at the pick-up window. While the woman at the cash register was the only woman to acknowledge me, I had watched her physically pick a piece of food out of her teeth, look at it, and put the piece of food back in her mouth. Neither woman washed their hands after having their fingers in their mouth. It grossed me out. Another aspect that kind of bothered me, (and this was before the finger licking and teeth picking) was that the employees were talking about their personal lives in a very unprofessional manner in which all the patrons in the immediate area near the cash register could hear. That didn’t bother me much, really it was seeing both employees with their fingers in their mouth without washing their hands and I was only standing their for five minutes, kind of gross to think about their unsanitary habits throughout the day.

I really want to love this place. I work in walking distance and in theory it would be a great place to grab breakfast and lunch. But oh the wait. 32 minutes to get a bagel bucket. How does it take over half an hour to put 13 bagels in a box? Ive been there multiple times and every time has taken about half an hour and the selection of available bagels is always pathetic. More than half of the favors are completely sold out and with how slow the service is by the time they actually get around to making your order they have often sold out of what they had available when you ordered 20+ minutes ago. The full Einsteins menu is not available. The waiting line layout inside is arranged such that you cant even see what bagels they have available until youre at the register. The associates are very nice, but seem to lack any sense of urgency. Its been my experience that they spend more time apologizing for slow service than trying to step up their pace. I appreciate their kind attitudes, but I also appreciate not spending my entire lunch waiting in line for one sandwich. I hope that with more experience this place will turn around. Edit: Ive tried this location several more times and its just getting worse. Its to the point that I received a $50 gift card from my job that I wont even use unless I come across another location. My last "breakfast sandwich" was literally dripping in sauce with little else inside of it. Only the tiniest round of egg and none of the veggies or cheese that was supposed to come on it, but hey I guess at least they got the right bagel his time.

I have been to this new location about 20 times. Here is the unvarnished review of this new location of Einstein/Caribou. The Good: The space. It is big and nicely decorated. There is a lot of seating, and there are a fair number of electrical outlets. It also has fairly good wifi connectivity (although the signal will come in and out so be prepared to wait a bit). The parking is easy as well. There is a lot that always has spaces right next to the building. The Not-So-Good: The service. I think the staff is well intentioned, but they are slow. There is usually a line, even though there seem to be very few customers. I waited about 5 minutes to get a cup of coffee. I heard someone else in line saying that he hoped it would be a quick stop. It wasnt. It hardly ever is. The staff does come around to check on the folks in the dining room, but at this sort of place that doesnt seem necessary. Im going with 2 stars here. That is a lower rating than I usually give. But, this place needs to be improved. It should be speedy. It just isnt. That takes a lot away.

I just had the worst experience in this caribou outlet. First the person taking my order did not know how to count change. Then they did not get my order right and when I corrected her the manager said that was what I ordered. I said no this is what I ordered. she then got another cup putting her fingers in the cup and again got the order wrong. Then confrontative and disgusted when she gave me my order wrong again...said no, ..then went to make another try. I should have stayed gotten my $ back but I left saying I did not want it. I called to talk the manager (which was her) she defended herself and was argumentative on the phone. Thus is not the way to deal with the public even if the public is wrong. Very bad experience on all accounts.

Whether you walk inside to order or sit in the drive thru its an absurd amount of wait time....majority of the staff how have taken my order are lost and confused on the computer and pos system. I worked at Einsteins in the past and this slow speed would be unacceptable. Its just bagels and coffee and everyone should understand and be trained on efficiency. They should also make sure the person On the register knows the pos system and doesnt need to ask questions or for a manager every customer. On the other hand, the management is super helpful and friendly in times of chaos. Not worth the 15+ min wait in the drive thru i just sat in which made me late for work....

Really impressed at how well the manager snapped into action when a rush hit at 11 am on a Sunday. Looked like some miscommunication in the team at them back a little but she remained polite, respectful and apologetic to all the customers. Food was good, as expected, but Ill come back again to see this crew work so well together again. Im glad to know that there are restaurants out there that still stick true to the team values of working in the food industry.

I waited over 15 mines in the drive through... This has happened multiple times. I ordered a bagel toasted with cream cheese. I received an uncooked bagel with cream cheese on one side and the bagels sandwiched together (trying to get some cream cheese on the other side) this has also happened multiple times... I really want to like this place because its a great location :(

The coffee is DELICIOUS! SO much better than Starbucks. #caribou However, on the bagel side of things, too damn expensive. Also I waited in the drive thru for 20 MINUTES without so much as a "sorry for the wait" and then had to sit there for another 5 minutes just waiting for my bagel sandwich which I figured would have been finished in the 20 minute period.
