So first impressions can usually make or break an experience for me, and this was my boyfriends and my first time coming here. We walked in, and stood at the hostess booth for close to ten minutes. Usually five is a deal-breaker and wed normally go somewhere else, but we figured that maybe since the bar area was so busy, the hostess might have been helping out with serving or something. Anyways, she comes jogging up and leads us to a table. We takes our seats and are handed these ginormous menus. There is literally too many choices! The next thing I noticed: If you are seated down the middle of the restaurant, you could accurately guess the weight of whoever walks down that aisle. The floor is very rickety, and it shakes the tables, the drinks, and the patrons. Its noticeable and makes for a very unpleasant atmosphere in addition to the "double lamps: over our table. There was a small lamp on our table that was quite nice, but there are also these horrid "Tiffany-imitation" lamps sitting on the dividing wall between seating sections. And its at just that height so the bare bulbs glares over you the entire time. It was annoying and definitely affects the atmosphere and mood. We had to send our waitress away for a few more minutes of reading, made our choices, and then waited another ten minutes before she showed back up. Our orders were a little strange thanks to a low-carb diet: no bun on the burger, and swap out crispy fried onions for grilled onions and mushrooms on a steak. But our waitress didnt even blink. She got our orders down and we waited about twenty minutes for our food. Once the food arrived, I learned a valuable lesson: dont order a medium-rare steak. It will come to your table rare. I sent it back and was rewarded with what I had ordered! Nicely cooked outside, and cool pink in the center! Perfect! I had the 12 oz New York strip (classically seasoned), and it was phenomenal! I asked for grilled onions and mushrooms on top! Even the tiny portion of vegetables was excellent (except the portion was so tiny). And the fruit bowl as a side was great! My boyfriend ordered the turkey burger (no bun) and received a bland patty with very little flavor and topped with two small pieces of fried jalapeno. There was almost nothing to his plate, and the only side he had was the fruit bowl. I ended up giving him half of my meager veggies, and a big chunk of my steak so he wouldnt be hungry. But it was disappointing. The waitress never came by to ask how our food was. Shed slow down in her stroll past, glance at us, and continue on. Honestly, Im being nice giving this place a three-star. It was closer to 2.5. Steak (upon correct preparation): 5 Turkey Burger: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

My fiance and I stopped in for a bite. After we asked for one of the front tables the hostess lead us to the very back right corner of the restaurant. At this point, I said .. can we just sit at the bar area considering I asked for a front table to begin with. At which the hostess in a huff points over to the table with a waive of the menus and heads on her own way back to the podium leaving us with no menus, napkins, or utensils. We had Berlinda who was very nice and attentive. No complaints here. My fiance ordered a bun-less burger and grilled pieces of broccoli. I ordered a bacon burger, well done, with fries. My fiances food came and it was a burger the size of a slider (almost 1 bite sized patty) and 1.5 pieces of broccoli which would barely satiate a crash landed snowbound soccer team in the Andes. On my side, Ive never had food that actually NEVER had a complete lack of taste in my life considering this was including the BACON. The burger as well was pink on the inside, but hunger over sending it back took precedence. The only taste that either that burger or fries had was an air of grease, which considering how much POURED off the burger the first time I tipped it over to eat was surprising how little it actually tasted like grease. My fiance and I left and the blue shirted, think black rimmed glassed, spikey haired young manager or motd was to busy talking to an off the clock co-worker (assuming) that when he said thanks for coming and responded to him that the food was the worst we ever had (just short of finding jagged plastic in the food - Blue Nectar, Castle Rock). Knowing from eye contact that he had heard and recognized what I said, he scoffed and went back to his conversation. Needless to say my fiance and I were also sick all night going into this morning (and a complete lack of sleep through the night). I dont usually leave comments or reviews. I recommend you spend your money ANYWHERE else.

We had an incredible lunch at the Rock Bottom. Marlie, the hostess, was fabulous. She gave us some terrific suggestions on what to eat and what beers we might like. Almost immediately after she left to get us some samples, Sean/Skeeter, our waiter came by. To say the service was impeccable is an understatement. Marlie showed up shortly after that and gave us our samples. They were exactly as she described. Hubby got the Wilson Paile Ale. It was nice and hoppy, just the way he likes. I got Summer Honey Lager. It was light and just a touch fruity with a nice head. Just what I was looking for on a hot Colorado afternoon. As for the food - Out of this world good. Hubby got the classic hamburger and I got the Cajun Fish Tacos. Both were excellent and very filling. But both my husband and I agreed, the fish tacos stole the show. They are served with rice and black beans and the whole meal was very filling. After reviewing the menu, we have decided we will be back for dinner tomorrow. We are in Colorado dropping our daughter off for a summer engineering internsip so we have been to a lot of restaurants in the last week. They have all be excellent, but Rock Bottom is the only one we will be revisiting. If you are lucky enough to live here in the Denver area, you are very lucky to have this restaurant in your back yard. Finally, my hats off to the staff. They are friendly, helpful and seem to really like working here. Ask for their advice on what to eat and drink - you wont go wrong.

Complete garbage. My wife and I have been here three time and it is garbage. Each time the service is awful and the food lacks quality. Today we got a coupon in the mail (good job mark dept) and we decided to give it one more try. The server Kaela was nice but didnt check on the table but three times. She never asked how our food was and rang in the wrong item. I asked for mashed potatoes and got fries. When the food got to the table my "over easy egg" on the 2 a.m. Was burnt to a crisp. Yes. The yolk was runny but the rest of it was Burnt. The burger itself was waaay over cooked and dry. My wife enjoyed her food and was pleased with her chicken burger. Kaela didnt even ask how I wanted my burger cooked or even stated that they cook it a certain way. I would have changed my order if I would have known the parties were all well done. Lastly, i was on the fence about getting a drink with alcohol. The server didnt give any recommendations or even let us know if there were specials going on. We will never step foot in this location ever again. The downtown location will be the only one we will ever go to. They have never had bad service or food. Order # 60400 table 63/1
