It is very awkward when you are at a restaurant and the owner yells at one of his employees in front of you. And that was one of the better parts of the experience. We (me, my wife, son, daughter in law, and grandson), came in with a Groupon. The food was okay. I asked for my burger medium rare and got it well done. Asked for grilled onions, and I guess they were on there - if you used a microscope to find them. When I looked at the bill later, I noticed that even though we orderded 3 of the daily special (Hot Dog, Fries, and a drink for something like 60 cents off), we did not get the special price. I also realized that I had ordered food for my 14 month old grandson off the regular menu - where the exact same thing was priced less on the kids menu. After the meal, (when I noticed this) and brought it up to the owner, I was yelled at by him - telling me that the groupon didnt cover daily specials. He did say that I should have gotten the kids price for his meal, but did not offer to correct the price. All in all it was a miserable experience. I see that others have given this place a high review, but I certainly didnt see it. Mediocre food, mediocre prices, and a small, cheap narrow-minded owner, who yells at employees and customers, alike in public. I will NEVER go back.

I worked here for a while and while all the customers and my co workers were great :D The manager Paul claims all tips and divides them up and gives raises with them as he pleases and doesnt pay over time per law and many employees are working over 60 h a week often. The manager Paul regularly yells degrading things at employees in a very unprofessional manner. Nobody deserves to be called a dumbass at work and denied even 10 min breaks. The walk in refrigerator where all the meat/cheese/veggies are stored broke and sat at 55 degrees for over 48 h and meat was still cooked and served to customers. I was so afraid that someone would get sick. Dishes covered with raw beef and veggies alike are cleaned in expired sanitizer on a regular bases and then used to hold fresh food again. Danger!!! Please take your money elsewhere. Maybe someday the management will start treating employees in a legal fair mater and taking health and safety seriously but not yet.

First time hitting up this burger. Id have to say its one of the best burger joints in town. Although pricey i ordered up a double combo with swiss, mushrooms, and grilled onions and it ran me $15 with fries and a drink. To be honest this is 2 burgers in 1. Save yourself the additional $15 and split a burger. Im a 510 215lb. guy and im about ready to puke...hence thats how much food it is. Anyways the burgers taste great. You can really taste the beef and its juices kinda like eating your perfectly grilled steak. Staff was awesome. Food was great. What more can you ask for. Cons: a tad salty, pricey.

This place is one of the better no-nonsense burgers in Denver. The is somewhat small so it can get packed during a rush. However, the staff is always fast and gracious so you dont ever mind waiting an extra minute or two for your food to come out. Also, I know a chicken sandwich may sound boring at a burger place, but my goodness it was amazing. I think prices are fair for the high-quality of the food and also the great customer service. I always feel good about giving my dollar to a friendly, local shop that always has me licking my chops as I leave. Definitely worth checking out.

Good food but service wasnt even decent. Order was wrong but they looked at me like I was the incorrect one... The lady I ordered with came over and confirmed it was wrong but left it at that and said oh well. Then we watched the workers give free ice cream to everyone in the place except us. They asked everyone how their food was and made small talk. They wouldnt even look at us. Maybe you have to be a regular or something for them to be nice. Update : went back and the service was amazing this time so I think we just were unlucky originally. Some of the best food Ive had!

Went in today with my daughter who was super excited. The girl at the counter asked us to wait while she did some paperwork then decided to share her opinion that she doesnt let her daughter drink soda which was uncalled for. Then as she asked us what we wanted she noticed food waiting on the counter and again told us to wait. Very rude and made us feel like we were not worth waiting on. Been coming here for years and so easy to go from 5 star to 1 star. Food is still amazing but this lady working the counter should find a new job if she cant take the heat. Horrible

Something off-putting, but I cant put my finger on it. I ordered a double expecting smaller patties. There are large and it was too much. The char taste was a little much. It almost tasted as though the grill hadnt been cleaned in a while. Some char = great, ultra char = not great. Chili cheese fries were awesome. Burger was definitely juicy, but it was also served so hot that it liquefied the cheese and it lost its flavor. Fine service and atmosphere, but we went in before it got busy. Avoid during lunch Im sure. Ill probably go back to try a chili cheese dog.

We recently found this place as an alternative to Kids Eat Free Sundays for Dickys BBQ. Were actually quite impressed with the general quality of food, and friendly staff. The beer battered onion rings and lamberger were especially delicious, and the kids meals were a decent size, containing two sliders and a goodly portion of french fries. The price is a bit on the high side, but these days about $10 for a burger and side or drink isnt unusual. There also were quite a few decent free topping choices such as fried onion strips and mushrooms.

Too pricey, wont be back! Taking a co-worker to lunch and spent $28.12 for two burgers, fries and drinks. I ask why so much and he said the "specialty" burgers dont take as much off a combo as the regular burgers? A regular burger combo is $9.99. I paid an additional $4 each combo for drink and fries? The $28.12 included the .60 discount for a "combo". Tried calling the Manager prior to give them a chance to explain. Hes at lunch, call back. I called back an hour later. Hes gone for the day, call back tomorrow. No thanks.

Beer Braut--perfectly done! Crispy brown outside/juicy inside. Toppings are free --- had sauerkraut, grilled onion, long pickle, mustard ---- perfection. One "basket" of fries serves 2 (seriously) Hand cut, slim, crunchy outside, soft inside. Hubby had burger, said it was "Good " and fries outstanding. Prices are quite reasonable for fresh food. Perfect place to go before Fiddlers Green (saw Garbage/Blondie) Save alot of $ and much better quality. You can carry in one factory sealed water btw. ♡♡♡

Looked for a burger place that was not a major chain in Thorton. I found JBD and saw the ratings so I dropped in to give it a try. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The restaurant is simple but the food is not. Burger is now in my top 10 of best burgers Ive had. Burger had great taste and was portioned appropriately. I found there is one closer to my home in Centennial. It will definitely be a frequent choice of mine to eat at. I highly recommend giving it a try.
