This was the worst $21.33 lunch Ive ever had. Dont get me wrong, the atmosphere was nice and the food tasted good, but our first experience with Modern Market on 16th St. (order #13 on January 7, 2017) ended with my wife in the hospital after 8 hours of vomiting and diarrhea. She had the BLT made gluten free, and two or three hours later wasnt feeling well. By 8:00 PM (and with no other food) she was in the bathroom experiencing her lunch for the second time. Every 20-30 minutes, she was back in the bathroom vomiting. By 3 AM, we were really starting to get worried. She couldnt hold down even clear fluids, so we called Denver Health. They suggested I bring her in to keep her from becoming dangerously dehydrated. Two bags of IV fluid, a blood test, a urine test, a dose of morphine for the stomach pain, and a CAT scan later, and they ruled out any other condition that could have caused the vomiting, sending us home with anti-nausea medicine after 6 hours. Needless to say, the sleepless night and hospital bill is enough for me to never return to Modern Market again. Our friends who joined us for lunch (who had a vegetarian sandwich) love the place. Great for them, but well never go back. Ironically, our doctor at the hospital was planning on going to Modern Market for dinner that night with his girlfriend. We told him to stay away from the BLT, or better yet, find a different restaurant entirely.

My worst dining experience in years! Seriously horrible! I tried to take my girlfriend to breakfast before comicon this year. the place wasnt overly crowded and we were quoted 20 minutes on our breakfast. After 30 minutes i asked where our order was and they said it was coming right out. After another 15 minutes i went up to get a refund. They started rushing right then to say our order was coming right out again. It was way to late at this point and i wanted to get to the convention... we didnt receive any type of an apology either. 45 minutes for a waffle and some eggs, bacon & potatoes on a not crowded morning? Give me a break. We walked over to a coffee shop and had a fresh made burrito and it only took 5 minutes. I highly recommend staying away from this place, ill never go back.

As I walked into this gorgeous, contempory brick and mortar establishment... I was greeted with an ambience matched only by the sunsets of New Zealand. The woman I was greeted by, lets call her Victoria the beautiful; although short in stature she was tall in benevolence and maturity. I placed my order and I took my seat near the window. I like to watch others watch me eat. The music filled my ears with rythmic elation. I must say a gentleman by the name of Christian who was employed here really took the show. His flare, his knowledge and confidence overshadowed the marvelous smells.. I recommend this place to anyone searching for a vibrant, cozy and delicious eatery. 4.75 stars.

I usually love this place but today Ive learned not to trust how they cook their meat. I got the chipotle steak and it tasted great. I looked at my sandwich and it looked ok. Little did I know it was covered in greens so I couldnt see that the steak wasnt even cooked. I usually eat my steak medium well and I saw a few pieces that looked like that so I figured it was ok. About 30 mins later I felt horrible!!! I had to leave work almost didnt make it home to completely throw up the entire sandwich. Bottom line dont get this dish from this location unless you make sure you tell them to actually cook your meat.

I was here for the ASHE conference and needed a gluten free breakfast, the Modmarket was an easy walk and had decent reviews. I ordered the spinach bacon scramble with a side of gluten free toast. It was great! The red potatoes were nicely seasoned, coffee rich, and toast was an excellent multigrain- not to forget the scramble, it was cooked to perfection. Saving the receipt gets you 10% off on your next visit. This makes breakfast tomorrow an easy decision over a cup of fruit at the hotel for $8. Thanks Modmarket for offering socially responsible (and gluten free) eating at a super reasonable price.

This place used to be one of my favorites but is going downhill rapidly. Service has become waay slower, especially during lunchtime. The last three times i went, something was wrong with my order. It might seem trivial but if I order a salad with dressing on the side and they fail to do that, by the time i get back to my office i have a ball of green mush as my lunch. Last time my steak salad literally had two pieces of steak, one of which was very burnt on the outside. Get it together guys! Id love to bump you back to 5 stars

After told wed only have a 15 minute wait, we went up at 30 minutes to ask how much longer. The man said it was almost done and would be right up (and we should expect that long of wait and never said sorry). Took about 15 more minutes before we just went up to get our money back and while the girl up front was nice the manager she went to get wouldnt come to give us our money and went to find an other manager. The other manager never said sorry, in fact all he said was here is your money back. Never going back again.

This place started out great, but has become incredibly inconsistent when it comes to quality. Originally, operations seemed to be under the purview of a single individual. Everything seemed great. It seems that they are now rotating managers, and its like the product is completely different. I order the pepperoni pizza, as well as the chicken breast, and the product is barely acceptable. Ordered a pepperoni pizza today only to find that the meat was slightly grey, and seemingly past its fresh date.

Although my sandwich was delicious, my colleague and I waited over 20 minutes for a sandwich and a half salad. When we arrived we were one of two groups waiting for our order. When I asked what had taken so long they mentioned that they got a slew of online orders. While I appreciate how this would make them busy, this former restaurant worker feels like they could have expedited both online and in person orders more efficiently. It was just simply an unreasonable amount of time to wait for our food.

As a chain, I love Mod Market, but this location is a horror show. The portions are far skimpier than other location (esp. salads to go), but the real problem here is the lack of quality control. 80% of the times Ive ordered a salad this summer (4 of 5 visits & always to go), the salad hasnt had all the ingredients. The last time they missed 2 of the 6 ingredients!! How do you miss 33% of the ingredients?!?!? Ive mentioned this to the manager on duty, but it happened again today.

Service was super fast and friendly. Ordering was very easy. The wait for the food to be prepared and my buzzer to ring was quick. My Romano salad with chicken was savory, just delicious. I ordered the whole size and found that to be adequate. Anything smaller and I do not think I would have been satiated. The place is pretty large with plenty of group style seating. If you are looking for a healthy alternative with quick person and fast service, this place guys the bill.
